FANTASTIC!! I've been waiting for ever to see something like this. Usually I see some video tutorial for lighting a wedding or a corporate shoot of some kind. This is the first tutorial I've seen showing how to light a large external space for a movie that doesn't involve using some mega expensive lighting solution we mortals could never afford in a million years. THANK YOU.
I am grateful that people like you, Shane Hurlbut, Niel Oseman all take the time to share your experience with us! You are truly one of the greats!!! Thanks again!
It's me, sir! James, the long-haired ABS writer from the elevator hehe :) Glad you weren't kidding when you said you're gonna come out with new stuff! I cannot stress how much ingenuity is in your techniques! Highly appreciate the knowledge, sir Rosen!
Excellent tutorial video on lighting! You could also use a 4x4 bounce on the backside as well as the top to control and utilize more light in a given direction.
Was very excited to see you post another video! Always helpful and unique information nobody else shares on UA-cam. Thanks for uploading, look forward to your next video!
Great breakdown, and a very nice end result. Thank you for not going heavy on the blue light, which always strikes me as overdone and unrealistic. Keep sharing these wonderful secrets.
Amazing Amazing Amazing AMazing. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!! Using variations of this is exactly what I was looking for but could just not figure it out having zero cash for any film school. (Which blows, but oh well} This summed up probably weeks of classes in under 4 minutes. ~That opening shot was beautiful, btw..! This is all I want to do. Thank YOU for helping make this possible! Best!!!
Watched every video you have made, and from every video i learned something great i take with me on my own journey of creation. I greatly appriciat your Sharing of knowledge 🎬😊
Yes the Aputure 600 is a good light, I have one myself, but it will not be as bright as a 4K nova. This may limit your exposure to full open and possibly a higher ISO.
@@kinetek2881 excellent. Cheers. Don’t suppose you have any recommendations of what I could use that would be better for similar money and battery powered? Thanks so much 🙏
Where can you get the string of sockets from? Being from the UK, we have large 3 pin plugs so it's almost impossible to find a cable with a socket every metre.
I was worried you had given up on UA-cam. I have never been so excited to see a video in my subscription feed. We need you!
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST TUTORIALS EVER
When I saw you uploaded a new video I was like....he is back with a piece of diamond. And I wasn't wrong. Hats off sir!

Finally a new Video! Hope there will be more in the future :)
Been waiting for another video! Thank you for this trick, I'm going to use it.
Isn't the final scene lit a bit too much? I mean it looks so bright there is no need for the character to use a lantern.
Post
Absolutely necessary and helpful! Appreciate you
Wow, this is so useful!!
Thanks again!
Yes! You're back! The secret sauce maker!
Where were you all these days
Do you think you could use an Aputure 600 in the box for similar results? Thanks so much 👍

🇵🇭 Salamat po!
A++++++++++++++ THANKS!
Berguna banget
why is tom hardy teaching me lighting techniches?
Sorry, moonlight is not soft. On a cloudless night moonlight is as hard as sunlight albeit much much lower of course.
Those shots does not look cinematic. Because of the lights choice. Old school of lighting it is still the best
Meh, or use a China ball on a powerful LED. Times they are a changing.
tbh if you could link me to a china ball that’s as big as the softbox made here sure. if not, it’ll look too source-y
well, I respect your work, but it doesnt look too good...
