What’s the movie about?
In 1995, Judy (Kirsten Dunst) and Peter Shepherd (Bradley Pierce) are two orphan kids living with their aunt Nora. After moving into a vacant mansion, they find a board game in the attic, called Jumanji. After beginning playing, they realize it’s a supernatural game and then unwittingly release an adult trapped in the game, Alan Parrish (Robin Williams).

I think the big difference is that crocodiles have their teeth exposed whereas alligators don’t.
Yea crocodiles has pointier snouts while alligator are duller and most of crocodiles are bigger

Since it's classified as a monsoon: I hear one of the dangers involves once you're taken by the flood and killed, the force is powerful enough to melt your flesh.

The water torture
When Carl says "I always wanted to do this" I can't decide if he's talking about shooting his gun or shooting his former boss's house for firing him.
@V-Rex I know that, I was joking about him pulling out his gun while saying it.
Pretty much about shooting his gun, because he tells that to the new owner, essentially making that house not Parrish´s house anymore.
@@andresr.viguera9791 it was about kicking the door down. Or at least trying until it busted open the other way. The gun being pulled from the holster is what any cop does before breaking down a door. At least in movies haha.

I loved that Alan covered himself. Like he knew it was gonna rain.
It’s probably from experience, he did spend over 2 decades living and surviving in a similar environment so it’s probably second nature to him at this point.
R.I.P. Robin Williams (1951-2014) I like the part where he wrestles that crocodile inside the house when it was flooding like a monsoon which was so cool and Bonnie Hunt was like really scared

@@PixarShark remember though in the beginning of the movie 🍿🎥 Billy made it clear that while Allen family business put branford New Hampshire on the map 🗺️🗾 Sarah was his girlfriend first and foremost and made sure it was well known

“Crocodiles in the Flooded House”
I kind of felt that it would've been a cool alternate ending if they adopted them. If they weren't able to return back to their time but I was also really happy with the current ending.
This movie is still one of the best of all times and the new one is so good exciting

Hey I’ve always wondered in a “what if” question. Here’s mine.
1: what if aunt Nora came home early, when Alan and Sarah explains about Jumanji and she decides to help?”
2: What if Carl help Alan after the Sir Save-A-Lot and helps finishes the game? I think a cop with a gun would come in handy especially with the monsoon and spiders.
I would even think Aunt Nora would develop a crush on Alan, just like Lisa crushed on the Astronaut in Zathura
I can see that

That's gotta be at least 10,000 gallons of water flooding that house trying to escape, and the front doors themselves were bursting at the seem just before the rupture. Assuming a weight of 8.33lbs. per gallon of water you've got a potential 83,300 pounds of pressure rupture travelling at a speed of roughly 35 miles an hour and that can't take life especially if that pressure hits something square at you?

When they get washed down the stairs, and drop the game, instead of Alan yelling for Peter to grab the game like before, he immediately asks if Peter is ok. There is so much character development in this movie.
This movie was way ahead of its time, The CGI was amazing for the early 90's.
I'm pretty sure they're crocodiles. Jumanji is based off of Africa which crocodiles are native to. Alligators on the other hand are native to North America.
Rose 16 They are crocodiles. They have pointy snouts, and their bottom teeth stick out. Plus, Alan outright says they're crocodiles at the end of the movie.

Yeah you're right there are two species of Alligators worldwide, One in North America and one in China. There are also the caimans from Central and South America and the gharials from Asia. But of all the members of the crocodilian family,(The reptile group that crocodiles, alligators, caimans and gharials belong to)crocodiles are the only members of this family to be found somewhere on every continent, except Europe and Antarctica.
While it’s true that Jumanji is mostly based off of Africa, based on the size and build of the creatures in question, I believe those were actually saltwater crocodiles, which are native to Southeast Asia and North Australia. Besides, if my memory is correct, the official board game also features tigers and piranhas.

Jumanji Should Be A Ride
Not sure who which park would have opened one back then as Tristar didn't have any parks AFAIK. Maybe Universal could have licensed it but only if more sequels were planned back then.

One problem I always had with this movie (still love it regardless) is that after most of the rolls, there’s no task that has to be completed, it’s just an event that takes place. So why not just keep rolling as fast as you can until someone wins? Where as if there had been some sort of task that needed completed before the next player rolls, that would explain why they take so long between rolls to roll again.
The movie hadn't even returned to my consciousness until earlier this morning. But I find myself asking all sorts of questions about the characters and the game. However, the most important is "Wasn't there some sort of act of self sacrifice that William's character could have performed to prevent others from being in harms way? Did it really have to expand to cause harm to the entire town?

I think you fail to understand. There IS a task. Its surviving what the game spawns. If they had rolled the lion, then rolled again, they would have had a lion and a bunch of killer monkeys. And assuming they could keep rolling, killer plants while the lion is still hunting them and the monkeys are causing problems and vines trying to eat them. And if you rolled again it just keeps adding up. Its like summoning all the bosses of the game on rapid fire rather than taking your time on each. The Task was to survive the game. And with each roll the game gets harder. if you dont recall, towards the end, they other things they rolled start to come back and even kills one of them.

I’m under the belief that Jumanji was never designed to actually kill anyone, just frighten. Think about it, if anyone dies how can they continue the game? The game would be locked forever in limbo.
The lion was about to kill Judy and Peter, the flower actually killed Judy and VanPelt shot Alan in the face... Pretty sure the game wanted to kill them all

I'd like my next house to be built by the builders of that house. Not a single drop of water leaking from any holes/windows/seams until the officer kicks the door and compromises the structural integrity of the structure.
I would play the game outside with supplies. Changes of clothes, umbrella, weapons, first aid kit, foot ready go and toilet paper.

It's because an alligator will see you later, but not in awhile for a crocodile.
Also alligators are cute in size comparison to Crocs which can grow to hundreds of kg and twice the size of a person.
