Thank you so much, Peppy Techie, for all your very helpful LumaFusion tutorials!! I was a doc. filmmaker, but am just getting into editing shorts and I love LumaFusion.
Perfect! Thank you. The same principles apply for horizontal scrolling also, just adjust the "X" positions, instead of "Y" positions. This was very helpful.
Hi, and Thank you so much for the wonderful video of editing film. But one problem i had when i try to make it is that i followed what you have told but my written text is not appear on video when i played.
I’ll have to watch your video again. What is the reason you make the background green opposed to black? Would it be easier to do the credits in another program then bring them in LF to key frame if scrolling is necessary?
Hey Peppy, I'm using this technique to create rolling hymn lyrics for community church groups. I have several verses but am having trouble getting it to roll past a certain point. Any ideas?
Peppy Techie....I was out of town yesterday when I saw the notification for this video come thru. I had a chance to watch it last night though.....cant wait to give it a try. It will be perfect for the project that I am working on for this spring, that I plan to finish up just as soon as the Pennsylvania weather breaks and I can get the rest of the filming done that I need. I'd love to send you a link to check it out when I am finished. Thank you so much for my request and sharing your talents!!!
Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial. New to video editing and lumafusion. I have one question...I followed your video and created the scrolling text, except it is very fast. Is there a way to slow the scroll down?
Sacha Coles yes you can change the speed of a clip or the entire video. When you are in edit mode of the clip look at the bottom between frame and fit & sound. The speed button is there.
I had the same problem, the only way I could slow it down was to export it to photos and then re imported it, then I had the speed option. I had six pages and my rolling part was a little different on each page, trying to fix this issue now.
Thank you so much. Once you have the basic “armature” of your text laid out, like three or four screens worth, is there a way to save just that much in order to retrieve it and modify it for a different project?
John Huron yes and I should have added that. Save each of them as a title (example 1st Credits section). Then each one after. I may add a quick video how to on that this week!

Great information! Would like to know what I am missing? I am new to LumaFusion. I have gone over this video many times but in the end, all I have is a blank green screen. All the text is in there, however it does not show up when I playback the title page. Thanks again for all the great tutorials! Walked step by step a few times to no avail?
Great question, this video was done before you could save your words to use in another video. Much easier now to create videos and use items without the GS, you are correct.
Your information is so good . I just can't follow along that quickly ! Stop rewind stop rewind stop rewind . A pointer of some sort would be incredibly helpful . I'm can't believe how confused and lost I am . I love the look of all your stuff . Do you have a beginner beginner course for people like me that are brand spanking new to the whole iPhone , iPad thing. I think a visual pointer thing of some sort would help me track where your clicking . I'm dying here . Thanks Brenda
My background is not turning green, is anyone else having this problem? I followed the step and the background is still black. It won't change to any color actually. Any advice would be great thank you🙏
Last question, how do I make my credits come down the middle while also fitting it all in the green screen ? Like you have words side by side I just have a short list and I want it coming down the middle. How can I do that ?
@@chopitupwithcharity No problem, Go to 2:31 in the video, you use the space bar to make two columns. The tab puts in a period, or at least it did. You can also use word, or what ever word processor you have to type what you want and copy paste.
Love your commitment to making insightful LumaFusion videos. I’ve been a loyal subscriber for a while now and I came to this video to see if it could be applied to making rolling lyrics yet it doesn’t quite cover all the bases. I am going to be releasing my first song in the #songtember songwriting challenge and would be thrilled to be able to include rolling lyrics over a photo in lumafusion. Could you help me out with this by creating a tutorial!?🍭
Great idea, Laurie, and I think Ill work on that next week for you. Been a crazy summer, and now that fall is here hope to get many more videos out to my subs
Laurie, finally got your video idea made. You got a shout out! Thanks for your wonderful idea. I really hope this is what you needed. ua-cam.com/video/fTdunvBY4Bk/v-deo.html

Is there a similar technique to make scrolling subtitle in the video and how to have different languages for viewers to select, if possible.
Thanks
thank you for watching and commenting! Love your UA-cam name!
Thank you very much.
Wonderful thumbs up and subbed 🤩. Oh and thank you 🙏🏾

Hi Tammy, I’m sure if you go to Techies playlist and into LumaFusion folder, she’s done a video on text masking 👍

Ok-I found the answer-thanks
This really helped me out with my other channel. Would love to see a voiceover and effects to add depth and detail
Thanks for the great idea. Look for your idea in the future!!!!
Nice Idea
Why does my second page of rolling credits seem to scroll through faster than the first, so it runs into the bottom text of the first page?
Why do you need the green screen? Isn’t it the same as putting the overlay text over a video? Thanks

Some of her videos has her filming the actual ipad with Apple Pencil, it’s much easier to follow that way.
Is this the way you do lyrics on a video?
Where do you find rolling credits?
I create them......????

Hi Charity, once you add a main title and go into the timeline view again where the main title is. You will then see green

Great vid techie, what's the easiest way for me to post my effort for you to view? Thanks
pop it up on youtube, and put a link to it in here! You can make it private so only those with the link can see it if you dont want it public yet.
This is a pain to do! Got to be a easier way!
