Group B FTMFW. Those were some awesome and badass cars. The 5000/ 200 has some nice lines to it to begin with and your aero really complements it. Definitely digging the front air dam/ splitter. Looks nice and the rear wing bracing is super important, so good job stiffening that up. I like how you can adjust the attack angle, really good functionality there. I think you should lay up a carbon trunk lid. It's a super easy shape and it wouldn't take much work to make one. You could even use mostly f.g. layers and do a single 2x2 carbon twill layer over the top of the f.g. all you need to make the panel come out well is a vacuum bag and pump setup. You know, I didn't mind the old wrap, but the new one is great. He did a nice job of designing it, and I love the satin finish. I ran an e36 track car and i did all the bodywork and went with a satin black base, so maybe I'm a little bias towards the satin finishes. I used John Deere 'Blitz Black' which is literally identical to a "hot rod satin black." The Deere paint is super cheap and really tough. Very nice work Rich, glad to see work still going into this thing. 👍👍
@deboss garage , here is a guy i used to watch back in the day ua-cam.com/users/martinssonracing his audis he built would give you some awesome inspiration check him out hes been offline for years and years but still worth a look
Dam that wrap totally sets it off definitely reminds me of the Group B era..... so in the unveiling video, I missed so many things, also the wrap hides alot of those imperfections 😅 freaking rad, I hope to see some track videos of it😉👍👍
I'm definitely old enough to remember group B and this would definitely blend in with the crowd. Excellent work and as always, a real treat. Cheers 🍻 😁❤
Really glad the Skid Factory Guys did the collab with you guys; had never heard of the channel before but have been loving the new content and diving into the back catalogue!
Haha that clip from the IT crowd...classic! Also good to see that there are young folks coming up with passion and drive. Like Ian. I don’t see it often in my industry. Gives me hope. Haha.
I was so pumped for IQCS 2021, and then what do I see ? BLACK JACK IS ONE OF THE JUDGES !!! YEEEAAAAHHHH !!! I am happiness Also, super nice wrap, it really goes well with the car! As a guy who tried to vynil wrap his fridge (so not extremely tough job you would think) and ended up taking about 60 hours to do it properly, I appreciate greatly each wrap job I see
That update on the car show is very exciting! I was thinking I'd skip out on submitting my build since it is just too incomplete ATM, but since you have a category for youtubers.... Submission coming in ASAP 😉. Thank you for supporting the little guys. Hopefully people are interested in a 6BT cummins powered ford explorer 🤣. Love the channel Rich (and Aaron as well!). I kinda have you to blame for making me interested in diesels, especially cummins swaps, in the first place. Love to see you using your platform to engage with the whole automotive youtuber community like you do. Here's a preemptive congratulations on 500k subs, you deserve it!
Whew... I just binged watched all 32 episodes of this build. It was a long journey for me, I can imagine what its been like for Rich and everyone else who has sweated into it. Passion projects like this are always all consuming. Great work guys, I can't wait to see what else is coming for this project. I will be tearing down my truck engine in the next year or so, which is the EXACT same block and heads as this car. I don't think mine can put out 600hp though.
Ian's passion really shows in his work, would 100% have him wrap my project if I was in the GTA. Hopefully somebody out West here is as passionate about their job as he is.
That wrap was good design and application considering what he dealing with . Don't think a lot of guys would want take it on, got to admire the guys enthusiasm . End result is pretty nice look, even the bumper blends in well .
I wouldnt start cutting in to the structural B-post just for looks... Specially not without a roll cage. But yeah it looks good with that aluminum piece connecting the turbo intake on the side of the door.
I’m a little bit late to the party on this one Rich but you have to be honest it’s better to be late and respectful than be disrespectful and never turn up 😉
having watch the video twice , i think you should be working for a formula 1 team , the aero at 5.47 has got to be worth an easy 20000000000 seconds a lap advantage loving the car
In twenty years you might be able to make me a decent mechanic, but no amount of time would make me into a graphics guy. Ditto wallpaper, wrapping presents, painting, and singing.
There is nothing more enjoyable to watch than someone genuinely passionate about the work they do. I could listen to them all day explain how it's done, no matter how their work relates to a vehicle.
Really liking that Rich and company are moving forward in this strange world of UA-cam car builders. Big thumbs up for the concept of your car show, and finding a way to carry it forward. So many people build brilliant things, but would never, ever have the money to attend big car shows. Trucking your ride across North America or Europe is... not cheap. And the emphasis on the " garage" builder is fantastic. Everyone would like to have a dozen exotics that someone else pays for, and maintains. In the real world? Be proud of your rat wagon junkyard build. Even if only you love it. Especially if only you love it.
The coolest part for us is seeing different builds from all over the world in one show. We'll never in our lifetime get to see all of these in person so we thought it'd be awesome to put them in a competition together.
@@DEBOSSGARAGE And yet karma has dictated that I live, and grew up, with in a 20 minute or so drive of you, Rich.. That is where you go for some of the vids, right? I'm sure I recognize it. Heck, it's all wheel drive. And this is Canada. December. In the snow. Do it lol.
When i saw that Peg got dropped for those animalistic auto abusers over there in in brooklyn, it makes a guy ask, "Whats a feller gotta do to get some freedom of speech around here" I wonder what Thomas Sowell is doing today. I have an 89 rickshaw i wanted to put in for Minty.

@@DEBOSSGARAGE Gotcha. It just looks different because its flat mounted. I wasnt poking at you, just thought it might have been overlooked. This is still one of my top 3 channels my friend. I f*cking love this car.

Rich finishes plenty stuff. But, the stuff he hasn't finished hasn't disappeared from the channel, it's getting more work done to it. I'd much prefer to watch Rich working on these projects, adding more and more mds, than have them "finished", neatly parked and polished, but with various extras not installed. I don't see what's so wonderful about a "finished" project; there's always something else a guy like Rich can install/change/upgrade. Pretty cr@ppy question really.

Honestly why not just wrap over the existing wrap?
The old wrap had a “brushed metal” texture and was pieced together for a torn apart effect.
@@DEBOSSGARAGE I knew there must be a reason, just couldn’t see it
That wrap looks really good for such a difficult car. Seems like a pretty good guy.
The clear coat on my cars roof is peeling, this and previous wrap videos have convinced me to wrap it instead of a re spray. Thank you !
