    Very good job. You explained it all very well. Why did you choose the flexible panels? I'm guessing it's because you put them on your cargo pods. On my camper it has luggage racks, so I put a piece of uni-strut & mounted my panels with U-bolts. The only hole I drilled in my roof was for the wiring. Mind you, I only have 350 watts of panels. I think Victron is the best for all types of solar. Good choice, the Bluetooth & being able to see it on your phone is fantastic.

      We went with the flexible panels in order to fit more on the roof and yes, the cargo boxes. Solid panels don't allow for cutting to fit and we were also trying to avoid putting holes in the roof. Thanks for watching!

      Best video yet, most relevant, as so many are doing same thing, adding solar for better boondocking ... ✌️

    Watch the latest Pandemonium channel her M4 connectors were not properly crimped and they melted. So check them, she was lucky there was no fire.

    I love your content.
    I too have a first generation Dodge truck and Lance camper.
    I love the escape hatch above your bed, did you install it?

      Thank you and Awesome!
      Nope, our camper came with the skylight/sunroof/escape hatch (everyone calls it something different, lol). We did, however, replace it with a newer one since the plastic was old and cracking. We love it too! Thanks for watching.

      It looks like a much higher quality unit than what comes with most rv's.
      I'm interested in replacing mine too.
      Did you have to do any additional cutting?
      Do you remember what aftermarket unit you purchased?

      We found an exact replacement (except without the lights that we had previously) so no additional cutting needed. Just a straight replacement. Our new one came from Germany, but recently a viewer found the one with lights in the UK. You can check our video on the skylight replacement, the links are in the description of that video.

    Did you already have a hole through the roof for the wiring?

    • @DestinatioNow
      @DestinatioNow  2 роки тому +1

      Yes. Our rig already had 1 100 watt panel installed previously that didn't work properly, allowing us to just reuse the same hole and wires. If you jump to the control panel installation chapter we explain how we did this.
