Y’all have done an excellent job! The more y’all work together, the more amazing y’all do! Y’all work GREAT together and it’s a lot cheaper for y’all to do it yourselves than to hire someone to do it and charge you an arm and a leg to do what y’all have already did! It looks Great and at least y’all will have your privacy and also be able to watch the kids while they’re in the yard playing! Y’all did an AMAZING JOB TOGETHER! Keep up the GREAT WORK! It looks awesome, but remember wood expands & contracts; so that means without vertical 2x4, or 6's the slats will warp. Preserve all that hard work with 2 vertical posts screwed into each horiz slat per section. That equals 4 verticals on the inside or outside of the pergola

Hello family,
I love watching your show (especially whenever I need a laugh or two). Being a carpenter and a draftswoman, I just wanted to give you heads up on your project.
You do know that you have to put vertical support members every third width of the boards to keep your spacing and to prevent the boards from sagging/warping. The vertical supports should go from finished floor to the top support. It takes 30 days for the boards to dry out from the treatment, so you'll see them change within that time if they are not supported. It's just constructive criticism and not finding fault in your work at all.
