We won 4k years ago with Tokiiwa sadly he quit osu competitively, Bojji and Kura are currently the best in PH rn in 4k and 7k. I've always known they got a chance.

I've been here for a decent while, and I've practically seen every single team PH match in the 7K World Cup since 2016. I saw so many close calls and sweet victories (like 2016 PH vs Poland, 2017 PH vs Thailand, 2019 PH vs China). Heck, those who seen and heard my commentary on the 2022 semis and 2023 finals week 1 matches could hear the contrast in emotions I had on the outcomes of the two matches. It's honestly still crazy that we've gotten to this point. If there's anything though, I'm so happy to be a friend to the players in this team. Ingat lang po sa PH manners HAHAHAHA.

Not saying it happened to me but I have seen players that went through that and still haven't returned to the competitive scene at all even tho competition exists now

Welp we gotta remember when korean legends carried their teams like jhlee0133, WindyS, wonder5193, Jakads, Estonians and others At least we have dressurf, yz1155 and others now.
History repeat it self but it was on the philipines side as a filipino im proud of my country and in 2022 we lead 6-2 and we lose now its 2023 6-2... now we win

Tbh from that very point where jakads quit, that was the point where other countries finally had a chance at getting the title. he reached his peak before he quit and if he continued playing he would probably still absolutely carry SK, like how many 1 200 scores, tiebreaker fc, 99.5< acc scores he put up. in the end of course he did quit, and the next #1 (dressurf) was and is no where near jakads skill, where jakads left off is probably still able to challenge even kura, dressurf, yz, bssd today, and his quitting started a new era of mania. in terms of how stacked the teams were, tbh it barely mattered besides kura, berri, yz and dressurf. kura had gone from a good mania player to pretty much the best active mania player and tournament player right now, not to mention how his accuracy went from 97-98 to almost all 99s, but i think the true reason they won was berri's return, kura was already good enough to beat dressurf, so berri really had to step in to match up to yz, berri is not as good as kura but definitely still more than good enough. in the end i think kura + berri simply were more consistent and higher skill capped than dressurf and especially yz, though both teams are simply amazing, south korea with or without the godlike jakads man literally held #1 for like 3/4 of the mania winstreak south korea had truly the uncontested greatest mania 7k player of all time entozer solos tho >>>>>
The Bocchi the Rock charm actually won them MWC 2023. I've known little about osu! as a whole but seeing the raw dedication from these four is just incredible. And ofc giving recognition to our country when it comes to absolute gaming is the cherry on top

in terms of how stacked the teams were, tbh it barely mattered besides kura, berri, yz and dressurf. kura had gone from a good mania player to pretty much the best active mania player and tournament player right now, not to mention how his accuracy went from 97-98 to almost all 99s, but i think the true reason they won was berri's return, kura was already good enough to beat dressurf, so berri really had to step in to match up to yz, berri is not as good as kura but definitely still more than good enough.
in the end i think kura + berri simply were more consistent and higher skill capped than dressurf and especially yz, though both teams are simply amazing, south korea with or without the godlike jakads
man literally held #1 for like 3/4 of the mania winstreak south korea had truly the uncontested greatest mania 7k player of all time

The Bocchi the Rock charm actually won them MWC 2023. I've known little about osu! as a whole but seeing the raw dedication from these four is just incredible.
