I LOVE LOVE LOVE Her home! BOHO does not do this place any justice! It is simply SPECTACULAR! Elegant, cultural, warm, inviting, and it just makes you want to look around in it for hours!!!! SO well done.
What an amazing take on a high rise apartment. Not so white washed and sterile like a lot of people are doing now. Color just enhances the personality of the home while it offers warmth, relaxation and a welcoming environment to spend time in. Katie Curtis did a great job and thank you for sharing your home with us. I would like seeing more of her work.
This is a perfect example of just because you live in a high-rise doesn't mean you must design modern. I love Kari Curtis" style of global mix and color. The drapes add such warmth to this home with NYC views. I love that the kitchen is separate. This is a real home in the sky. I wonder how the two city kitties feel living above it all.
So incredible absolutely love the warmth the colors the patterns and again the warmth that is lacking in NYC high rise apartments. Window treatments in a high rise???? So chi!!!!
Lived in NYC for 12 years and I always hated high rises, exteriors and interiors. Her design seems better suited for a brownstone or pre-war building, but as she pointed out, she wants her style but high rise views, so there you go. The key is to be true to your style regardless of architecture.
I love the view! I like the color of the living room walls and the contrast of the gold picture frame above it and the added color of the boho throw pillows, and of course I love the high ceilings! But there is part of me that feels the dining area and bedroom could have been a little more exciting! 🧚♀
My home is like this. She has given me more ideas I love this. I just wish I had bigger rooms to pull this off to the max. I have re-watched this three times already. She is my Shero designer💙💙💙
Simply Gorgeous!! I could do color and actually love color but I feel like you have to have all of the right pieces, which I don't. So, I stick with whites and add pops of color. Much cheaper...but this is just beautiful ❤️
Just stunned! Adorable curated, idividual, eclectic elevanted. LOVE IT. What is the colour of the wall in the lounge? I think it is great that there are colours in the bedroom and guest room, but I love the kind of sandy stone in the lounge too.
I live in Las Vegas in a loft style, very open. But, when I redo my place, I want to combine the playfulness of Las Vegas, with the NY bohemian sophistication, and the SW feel. When I do find it, one piece of decoration will include an Artistocrat slot machine from the very early 60s. I've learned a lot from this video, specifically. You have arrived at a playful bohemian design. My open design also demands a multi-functionality on a larger footprint, of course. Displaying original art can be problematical, with few walls. I like how you displayed the art. I want to also borrow from the outside as my loft actually has a garden. In my opinion, design is 80% done before any walls go down, or paint applied. In Las Vegas, believe it or not, we do have a lot of history to pull from, albeit mid 20th century. TY for this presentation.
I really like this designer and her apartment, but I think her style is much more elevated than "boho". Boho to me is like Jungalow with an over abundance of plants, macrame, 70's wicker and a papasan chair. Whatever it is, I'm here for it!
This is more Bohemian. I think it's the origin. It's more about art, collecting authentic pieces from other counties(when you travel), color, eclecticism and maximalism and comes from artists in the first place. It's not this Insta boho you described and I don't even know where this comes from.
Beautiful use of color and texture! I can really identify with this esthetic...there is a lot going on but not overwhelming. I would have loved to have seen the bathroom(s)...amazing video, thank you.
Well said! That's thing thing about this apartment we love so much: its fun and exciting, but Kati knew where to hold back and where to add. It's sooo livable!
Where are the litter boxes and scratching posts for the cats? I think it would be helpful for the average person to see. Personally, I might hide a litter box behind the screen in the bedroom.
@designerhometour BTW just spitballing content ideas but it would be amazing to have a playlist dedicated to specific rooms. It would be AMAZING to see the office space of designers or writers. Kitchens of chefs / cooks!
Kati, I assume the animal print sofa is not for sale, but let me know if I'm incorrect. I LOVE IT !! I think I could search for one like it (appears to be a Duncan Phyfe), but I would want a good, quality fabric just like the one you have used. Please let me know the details on ordering the fabric. I realize you're in NY, and I'm in Florida, but I MUST copy that outrageously fabulous sofa, my friend !!
There are brands that offer this! Not sure off the top of our heads, but here's a good article by KOVI on the matter: www.kovifabrics.com/pages/cat_resistant_fabric
Just letting people know. Yes your room will feel big and expansive with a bright color but only if you have a lot of sunlight of led bright sunlight. Otherwise….no it will look like a dungeon, unless of course you love that then right ahead.
Lovely video lady pretty would never be able to live so high up for me to many colours am old girl so I like my walls plain no wall paper for me all the very best
Seems to me that people who are live in apartments on the 30th / 50th / 70th floor etc., are born - not made. Because evidently, there is a general oblivion to those enlarged viewing windows emphasising just how far one can fall... ! For me personally, this apartment style is a literal nightmare.
Couldn't watch the whole video. The views were elevating my stress level, and having her fiddling with everything in the apt. was annoying. (Just show me the design please.) I felt that the decor clashed with the structural vibe of the unit.
The view is a lot nicer than her home. I understand patterns. I love mixing patterns. But I’m sure she’s not knowing what she’s doing but just throw everything together, because she has money anyways.
Oh, come on... Just throwing a ton of disharmonious colors and shapes and styles together does not look good even though it is the current fashion. It is a mess. This look will soon become an embarrassment!
This is giving me a headache. I love many of her things - the paints on the walls, the sofas, the chairs, rugs, cushions, etc. but there is just too much going on. She needs a major edit.
"incredible" "amazing" views??? Of high rise buildings ruining the view of a river?? Hmn, ok. I personally would only use those words to describe a seaview or beautiful countryside.
You’re watching a video of an apartment in NYC. THAT is the expected good view. Yours is not the only view. Literally and figuratively. And buildings do not ruin a view! It’s layering- just like in good design things are layered.
Shop the look here! app.onsidedoor.com/s/6145/collections/46439-kati-curtis-season-1-episode-7
I love her dress and yes I love color!!
Cat-proof fabric that looks lux is miraculous! What a great secret.
Right?! This proves you don’t need to compromise any longer for design! 💯
Love the concept of de-whitefying a home.
Kati's design totally goes against the usual, and we love that. Well said!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Her home! BOHO does not do this place any justice! It is simply SPECTACULAR! Elegant, cultural, warm, inviting, and it just makes you want to look around in it for hours!!!! SO well done.
We totally agree!! ❤

Katie Curtis did a great job and thank you for sharing your home with us. I would like seeing more of her work.
This apartment is essentially a person with how much personality it has. Well said!
Not my style, but I can appreciate how coherent and beautiful it is, in its own aesthetic and love the storytelling behind some of the pieces.
Exactly what I wanted to say 👌.
O.M.G. Crypton fabric. I want to cry with joy, I have 6 cats
This is a perfect example of just because you live in a high-rise doesn't mean you must design modern. I love Kari Curtis" style of global mix and color. You’re so right - that was what Kati wanted to show - you can design a layered home even when it’s a modern high rise. Thanks so much for watching!
I love how unexpected it is yet everything blends together so well!!! Thats way more fun than muted tones and neutrals.
Well said! Fun is exactly the vibe, and Kati does an excellent job keeping each room fresh and new.
the dresser in the bedroom and hutch in the living room are drool worthy! gorgeous pieces
The colors are relaxing and invigorating. The kitties are a lovely touch too.
Beautiful, colorful, elegant and soulful. Love it! Love it! Love it! Her designs breathe life into homes.
...so much so it takes our own breath away!
This apartment has some gorgeous furniture also filled with colour I love it.
Great home!!! I’d ABSOLUTLEY love this place
Beautiful home and a beautiful lady that loves her home. 👍🥰
What a beautiful apartment. I love the colors, the fabrics and carpets. The art is so interesting. It feels like an older European home.
Well said!
It’s a cool mix of bohemian and exotic. How you mix all those colours and patterns and make it work is truly creative. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
That's what we loved so much about the apartment; there's a method to the madness and it looks amazing!
So incredible absolutely love the warmth the colors the patterns and again the warmth that is lacking in NYC high rise apartments. Window treatments in a high rise???? So chi!!!!
I like your style, thank you for sharing.👌
No worries, it's our pleasure sharing these beautiful homes with you all!

Im pretty sure this us the only or maybe two apartment entire all building with that amazing interior 👌
The views are just spectacular 😍 I would sit looking out the windows every single night
What an energetic space.
Love the drapes. It's been 10 years since I went to istanbul but I still can recognize tulu textiles pretty well
Kati Curtis is a master of the mix. Thanks so much for watching!
I love the view! I like the color of the living room walls and the contrast of the gold picture frame above it and the added color of the boho throw pillows, and of course I love the high ceilings! Lovely. Talented interior designer.
brilliant design and amazing views.
My home is like this. She has given me more ideas

Hey, nothin wrong with starting where you’re at. A lot of this kind of decorating takes years of accumulating the right colours/pieces.
@@petalparker5 I agree 😊
Stunning. This is what I exactly like.
Stunning design love it!
How is lighting solved? Chandeliers? Down lights?
Just stunned! Adorable curated, idividual, eclectic elevanted.

TY for this presentation.
We’re happy to offer some influence! Good luck with any future design endeavors!
What is that beautiful bedroom and guest room wall paint color?
Um dos mais lindos apartamentos que já vi...adorei as cores, maravilhosas!!! Rio de Janeiro - Brasil.
I love her style.
Us too!
Beautiful view with beautiful interior decor. Love the mid century sideboard.
This could actually be the decor of my dreams! Awesome... :D XD
Beautiful!!!!
Your house is so beautiful... love from India 🌹
Thank you!
I feel like the whole space is really curated, eclectic, cultural. But then the kitchen looks like a corporate hotel conference room kitchen.
I really like this designer and her apartment, but I think her style is much more elevated than "boho". Boho to me is like Jungalow with an over abundance of plants, macrame, 70's wicker and a papasan chair. Whatever it is, I'm here for it!

Beautiful home! I wonder what the color of the walls in zoom room? Thank you!❤
I love it too. And I have the perfect location for this style
I’m not into the boho style but your home IMO is the best medium sized NYC designers’ apartment in this series.
Where are the litter boxes and scratching posts for the cats? I think it would be helpful for the average person to see. Personally, I might hide a litter box behind the screen in the bedroom.
Nobody is going to mention the beautiful CATS? Her apartment is gorgeous, too.
Top design hack: Kitties!!
That flat is incredible love ❤️ it uk
So gorgeous, right!?
I thought I didnt like colour, she is a great designer.. No fuss no excess.
@designerhometour BTW just spitballing content ideas but it would be amazing to have a playlist dedicated to specific rooms. It would be AMAZING to see the office space of designers or writers. Kitchens of chefs / cooks!
Thank you for your recommendation! We will put it on our list to explore - office spaces of designers and kitchens of chefs - great ideas!
Also - we love that playlist by rooms - we'll get working......stay tuned for a Spotify link :)

Beautiful! Where is the sofa bed from please???
If you can’t put the paint sample on the wall, how do you choose? Serious question
I love, love color. 👍 ❤️
Very nice!…loving the use of color…white walls, just don’t speak to me
Where do you keep the cat box?
Very good question, I would love the answer to that one!
These videos are great but why do you have to show designers tidying up things all the time ?
I'm annoyed when they strut by walking back and forth and in and out of rooms. All in moderation, I guess!
Is cat proof fabric only custom? Or, are there brands out there using it?
There are brands that offer this! Not sure off the top of our heads, but here's a good article by KOVI on the matter: www.kovifabrics.com/pages/cat_resistant_fabric
@@DesignerHomeTours thanks so much! I will check out the article!
Ty for tip
Beautiful design, but so small! It feels hard to move around....I guess the view is the compromise for living space. ❤️
So true! NYC doesn't give the luxury of space too often, so it's interesting to see how designers work around this.
Tack supreme
Nice
Love
Спасибо!!!
Is this her apartment?
Wow ....I can see a mini INDIA in your home. ENJOY
With Love from SAM
Guwahati Assam INDIA 🙏❤🌷
Yes. She loves indian decor. Generally that's how our houses in india are, many colors, printed sheets, printed curtains. And many colors.
😍😍😍
Beautiful. But it was so distracting having her go in all the rooms and just touching everything. So OCD.
That is typically done just for these videos. It’s not “real” - fluffing pillows, tweaking books, etc.
Yeah, seems to be a thing at the moment, I’ve seen it in quite a few design videos lately.
cool
Stop fussing with everything. We get it. You're make me anxious
The main bedroom looks like someone bought a bunch of stuff and said let's throw it all in here
❣
Just letting people know. Yes your room will feel big and expansive with a bright color but only if you have a lot of sunlight of led bright sunlight. Otherwise….no it will look like a dungeon, unless of course you love that then right ahead.
Somebody who likes cats!!!!
Lovely video lady pretty would never be able to live so high up for me to many colours am old girl so I like my walls plain no wall paper for me all the very best

For me personally, this apartment style is a literal nightmare.
That sitting room is a mish mash of everything, nothing works together. I'm all for eclectic but this somehow doesn't really work surprisingly!.
6:26 The piece states, "Peace Be Upon the Prophet of God".
How do the cats get downstairs, don't tell me they never get outside.
Супер 👍
It is surprising to me that apartments in skyscrapers are equipped with gas stoves.
Couldn't watch the whole video. The views were elevating my stress level, and having her fiddling with everything in the apt. was annoying. (Just show me the design please.) I felt that the decor clashed with the structural vibe of the unit.
This mostly looks like my Nana's flat in the late 70s but hers was nicer.
She looks ironically colorless sitting in front of that vivid wall. I loved everything in the apartment except that horrible nude painting.
💕💕💕🙏🏿🙍🏿♀️
No balcony or possiblity to open a window. Its a glas prison. Suffocating.
Some people are good at designing other people's homes but not their own. 😉
So....the key is: have tons of money... how inspiring
Well, complete and good design does take SOME money. But that’s all relative and shouldn’t be a surprise.
Your ceilings are maybe 9-10 foot, but they are NOT 12 foot ceilings. Just sayin’.
What a stupid, ignorant remark.
Not my taste even if I love colours in an interior. What I don't like it there are to many styles and period
This is giving me a headache. I love many of her things - the paints on the walls, the sofas, the chairs, rugs, cushions, etc. but there is just too much going on. She needs a major edit.
ugh, this assaulted the eyes.
This is definitely not boho more of eccentric style
Plse explain why her choices would not be considered 'boho'?
BOLD....
"incredible" "amazing" views??? Of high rise buildings ruining the view of a river?? Hmn, ok. I personally would only use those words to describe a seaview or beautiful countryside.
That’s what we love about this channel. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
You’re watching a video of an apartment in NYC. THAT is the expected good view. Yours is not the only view. Literally and figuratively.
And buildings do not ruin a view! It’s layering- just like in good design things are layered.
I dig boho. This is too much bo for me though. Great area for a chick though.
Too chintzy for me.
