Containers are for containing. It's a mantra for me when decluttering - if I want to keep it it needs storage, and if I don't want to sort out storage then I don't need to keep it.
I would love to see an "extra" tutorial. There's many extra time consuming steps with makeup but how many make a huge difference in the outcome? I'd like to see some examples of what benefits you get by taking those extra steps when flamming up. Another one I'd love to watch is how you can use primers or setting sprays to modify finish of products. Like a foundation that's too heavy and matte but using dewy primers/sprays turning it into something with a different finish.

I actually loved this video, Emily. You were on task, but it was broken up into categories, then there was the soothing music in the background. This is something I am motivated to do right now. I love how efficiently you went about it, yet you mixed in the cuteness of your girls' artwork and the cool tray artwork of your sister, which I found very sentimental and sweet. (I have some of my daughter's artwork and I love you notes from when she was little because they make me smile. She's 19 now.) I enjoy how organized you are. I'm a fellow Cappy and I love organizational tools. Clutter truly makes me feel claustrophobic and anxious. When I can quickly find everything I need to do a task or a fun hobby like makeup artistry, that makes me happy, lol. I also loved seeing the different containers you use, such as the one with the closed eyes & lashes. I have a mug that is similar that my son's GF bought for my birthday a few years ago. So adorable!

Em, how often do you wash your brushes? Do you wash face brushes more often than eye, vice versa etc….? Also when to wash the beauty blender? Do you have a brush cleaning video? Can you? Another eyedea lol can you do a video showing the brushes you use for each eye area and alternative sizes/shapes? I am a make up hoarder and I last tidied my makeup 2 months ago but I have purchased about 12 eye palettes and several face palettes and bunged them in with my huge every day collection... A girl needs variety.... I have been putting it off but you've put me in the frame of mind to do it. Currently 22.30 here in Northern Ireland so once hens and our pet goat are fed I shall get stuck in. Ps I love your makeup room, your home is just that Emily, a beautiful house but more importantly a home filled with toys, love and laughter and rather than boring backgrounds or huge plants everywhere it is just like our own dressing /makeup areas.... But toys are no longer cluttering my home, my daughter is 17 and my son 9.....wasnt until my sister stayed with me recently with 3 young children I realised just how much I miss a living room full of mess and toys.... Great feeling to organize our stuff. I usually have to look for the safe place I put things afterwards. It is so nice that you thanked the professional teachers for their guidance in the remote/distance learning task you are facing. My son’s partner get so upset when she hears parents saying they are the “teachers” when she and her fellow teacher do all the planning, outline of classes and so on for the parents to accomplish with their children at home. Thanks again for the recognition to the professional. Many are doing double duty with their own children at home. So double the anxiety! Good luck.

Wet n' Wild, Thursday: thrifty( drugstore), Friday: foiled eye, Saturday: smoky, Sunday: simple eye/bold lip. Just for fun if you are interested in trying it out. It's just something I came up with myself. I've loved your channel for so long. Take care :)

I followed a kid page, I uninstalled Instagram but I think it was busy toddler, the mom used to be a teacher and I loved her advice. As long as we're having conversations with our kids, letting them play/explore, and reading to them they'll be ok. Most importantly us as mothers, well be ok too and make it through this time.

I received those acrylic organizers for my birthday in January. Love them! I am all about the decluttering right now. We went up north to a beautiful housekeeping cabin that was decorated and furnished with lodge-inspired pieces in a simple, minimalistic way. I felt like I could breathe again. Clutter makes me cranky and stresses me out, lol. Now back from vacation, I'm motivated and working on weeding out all of the stuff that's unnecessary or under-utilized.

I'm the same way with brushes! I collect brushes, so I have tons that I'm always scared I'll forget about. You could try doing a biweekly brush rotation. So, one week you pick out all the brushes that you want to use for the next two weeks, then at the end of that two-weeks, wash those brushes and put them back in rotation, and pick out different brushes for the next two weeks. This is what I've started to do so my vanity doesn't get overwhelmed with brushes lol.
Totally gave me cleaning motivation...doing the same as im watching your video. Getting rid of products I do not use anymore and deep cleaning the makeup area and containers 🥰🥰
I bought an Ollieroo Natural Bamboo Desk from Amazon. I stack my eyeshadow palettes like library books. I use the palette in front and then move it to the end. If I find that I'm skipping over a palette it's time to say goodbye. It's easier to find a specific palette that I need. I use the drawers on side for toppers, glitters & my color switch. Another thing that helps me is to separate my brushes. Clear acrylic organizer from Amazon with multiple separations. All my crease brushes together, flat shader brushes, even separate foundation, blush, bronzers brushes. Easier to find what you need.
It would be fun to see the "autumn" collection of eyeshadow palettes and other stuff pulled out seasonally
or emily mini palettes named after seasons :D

I received those acrylic organizers for my birthday in January. Love them! I am all about the decluttering right now. We went up north to a beautiful housekeeping cabin that was decorated and furnished with lodge-inspired pieces in a simple, minimalistic way. I felt like I could breathe again. Clutter makes me cranky and stresses me out, lol. Now back from vacation, I'm motivated and working on weeding out all of the stuff that's unnecessary or under-utilized.
I love declutter videos. Definitely gets me motivated to do the same. I just haven’t even worn make up these days so its like whatever. But the result is so satisfying.

I'm the same way with brushes! I collect brushes, so I have tons that I'm always scared I'll forget about. You could try doing a biweekly brush rotation. So, one week you pick out all the brushes that you want to use for the next two weeks, then at the end of that two-weeks, wash those brushes and put them back in rotation, and pick out different brushes for the next two weeks. This is what I've started to do so my vanity doesn't get overwhelmed with brushes lol.

I bought an Ollieroo Natural Bamboo Desk from Amazon. I stack my eyeshadow palettes like library books. I use the palette in front and then move it to the end. If I find that I'm skipping over a palette it's time to say goodbye. It's easier to find a specific palette that I need. I use the drawers on side for toppers, glitters & my color switch. Another thing that helps me is to separate my brushes. Clear acrylic organizer from Amazon with multiple separations. All my crease brushes together, flat shader brushes, even separate foundation, blush, bronzers brushes. Easier to find what you need.
