Thank you for your share. I have 30mhz type. I had a problem with start up. When i open my FY2300H. Device self test doing and staying at that screen. I learned something maybe some people have same problem. If you have same trouble with this device like this. Close it first and press to vairable rounded swich and at the same time press to F1.. So F1+Variable switch together.. Will be system reset and will be ok..
Hello, how can I calibrate this generator to increase the frequency accuracy? What menu to select and which steps to go exactly? Can someone share the procedure please?
J. Clowers If you are setting up an electronics lab, for a hobby or a business, must haves would include: multimeter, soldering gear, oscilloscope, signal generator, bench power supply. So I would say yes. Most generators with these features cost upwards $350. This is a really nice package and includes 2 sets of cables and great software.
J. Clowers I would definitely recommend it. It sells as a 70MHz scope, hut comes pre-hacked to 200MHz and it's only $240 bucks. Check my 200MHz scope hiding in 70MHz body video. There is a link in the description.
Is it possible to output an external trigger from this generator to an oscilloscope, so the scope will trigger to display a sweep of frequencies? coordinated with each sweep pass to start the scope on the start of the frequency sweep?
Question: This can generate a signal in the audible range, I believe. Would there be any impediment to connecting this to an audio input on some kind of device, like I would a synthesizer? If I understand correctly you can control the attenuation on the output so I could actually generate a sound with this and set it up to output to my effects pedal; am I correct?
Thanks! So the software you show us, is that what came on the disc? Did you have any trouble getting it going? The reason I'm asking is because I've seen a few videos about using it with software and how to program it and so forth, unlike your video. I just want to be able to hand-draw my waveforms.@@learnelectronics EDIT: I have successfully installed the driver software off the disc and it appears to be working, will update. As mentioned above, I'm using this for audio, as a synthesizer, and being able to draw the waveform by hand is a pretty unusual feature, possibly very useful.
These units come with two BNC to alligator clip connectors. I'd like to use these to connect to two flat , 2" x 2" pieces of copper plates to send the frequencies. Could I connect the red connector to one plate, and, the other to the other plate, as long as I do not put those plates together, shorting them out? Or, would it be better to connect red connector to copper plate, and connect the black connector to the generator itself, grounding it there? I sent this question to Feeltech and haven't got a response yet.
Hey, I am looking for a good waveform generator to hook up to my modular synthesizer for some experimental sound creation. Would you recommend this unit for this purpose ?
+Fred R I'm sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that software so I don't have an answer. Tell me where I can get the software, I'll download it and try it out and report back...
+Fred R it would appear that it is compatible. But since I know nothing about the software, I can't tell you if it handles every function but they do talk to each other.
This unit puts out a digital output not analog correct? If so, that would explain it's affordability. When are they going to put out an affordable multi-channel analog output AWG?
Fantastic news! Thanks a lot for your response. One last question..from your video it sounds like you can link this unit with another FY-2300 via one pc/software and synch them together as far as phase start points, as if it was one FY-2300 unit with 4 separate channels instead of 2, is that true? Hope i made that clear enough, I'm a beginner.
+Markko The software is the same, I would guess the chipset is the same. The only difference is max speed on the square wave output and the form factor. If you need 60MHz square waves then the FY6600 is better for you, if not I rate them as equal.
Hola cómo puedo cambiar el menú el mío me vino en mandarín gracias este es mi correo por favor alguien q me ayude y de regalo le comparto un archivo de mi creación 😅
You're right you can't have too much stuff! Nice product and video, thanks.
Nice function generator. I think your greatest giveaway is the sharing of your knowledge to this community!
gartmorn thank you my friend. Let me tell you, this function generator is every bit as good as the Agilent units we use at the school.
Hi@@learnelectronics
Omg, "Freedom Units" !!!!!! That struck me funny as hell.....and awesome.....!!!

Can you please measure total power consumption of this device and open its enclosure and show how all looks like inside?
Nice product very tempting! PS i like the bluetooth speaker light bulbs!
Michael Padovani That's awesome, I'm glad you received them. I'm waiting on another one for myself!
Paul thoughts on the JYE tech 085 function generator the kit form unit?
Hi ... can you get the gold and silver frequency?
what books can I read that will teach me all uses and meanings of the waves? Furthermore is there any info that teaches this generator in depth?
Does it find valuable underground metals?
how much load can handle for voltage and max is 10v?
AWGN is probably a-weighted noise ?

Would you say this is a must have?

learnelectronics ok cool. Im going all out to set up for business. Thanks for the input!
No problem. This unit will save you a good $200 off the usual cost of $350-$500 for an AWG. Do you have a scope yet?
learnelectronics no. No scope yet. Was considering the one you use.

Yes

Yes you can use it as a tone generator.

+Skuppy it has over 150 wave forms, variable amplitude up to 10V P-P. I don't know anything about synths, but if those specs sound ok, go for it
cheers man !
Will this model allow to be used with Spooky2 software, by using command:, " Press SYS, Press More, F5, then Press AGRT, F1?
+Fred R I'm sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that software so I don't have an answer. Tell me where I can get the software, I'll download it and try it out and report back...
Download at: www.spooky2.com/downloadspage/ , Scroll down a little and you will see Software selection. Thanks.
" press "SYS" button, then press"MORE" F5, then press(AGRT)F1, then turn off and turn on again ". This might pick up the Spooky2 software.
+Fred R no problem

The FY-2300 has both analog and TTL outputs.

Hi. Can anyone tell me were I will find the sofware to control this equipment? May I upgrade it? Thanks.
Which one is better? this(FY2300) or FY6600

If you need 60MHz square waves then the FY6600 is better for you, if not I rate them as equal.
You're better off with one of these as the internal power supplies on the FY6600's carry high voltage onto the GND line.
nice
Thanks!
Send me the frequencies ... thank you

"Freedom units" 🤣 literally the measurement system based on imperial rule. Literally the opposite of freedom units.
