He will definitely be a good addition to Guardians. I like how he is more about control but still can contribute to attrition meaningfully. Also Call for backup is a silly good card.
Yeah he's a super solid addition to guardians, very excited for him there where he gets the attack dice consistency from winging it, and Galaxy's greatest on him will be kinda insane.
While he and Namor (and post-buff ASM) are definitely in the stronger end of 5's, honestly I think that where 5's feel best, the previous ones in my opinion kinda needed the power creep, with the exceptions of maybe Ghost Rider or Juggernaut All that to say, I don't think he will feel much stronger than a Juggernaut does right now, he hits harder for sure but I think is a little more situational and not nearly as survivable.
You can guarantee use the spender round 2 even without attacking round 1. Power phase gain 1, Move turn 1 gain 2 (3 total), power phase round 2 gain 1 (total 4), move round 2 gain 2 (total 6)...launch beam
@@ZetroxWargaming I could see it being a common play pattern to walk spender if you start a round on 3 power. Sure you only are making one attack action, but you can easily get 3 people under a beam at range 5 and with a long move to position. Late in a round it can be huge to displace a bunch of models. I really hope he does end up in Webs :P
@@obyiscushobbyandgaming Yeah the beam is super powerful, and it being online consistently round 2 is real good, I agree it'll probably be a really common play, and the displacement will be massive, especially if he ends up webs
@@ZetroxWargaming I already have plans for him in my Midnight Sons (going to trying swapping him in for Dracula for a bit). In webs he may actually open up a more offensive webs play too

He seems pretty pushed for a 5 threat. A longer range, glass cannon Juggernaut. Nova and Namor kind of show the power creep in recent MCP.

Can’t he get spender turn 2 with 1 from power phase + 2 from moving + 2 from move = 6 power and one action turn 2
