    I'm borrowing my friend's cajon to determine whether or not I should buy one for myself. You are the main reason why i'm going to buy one since you have all these wonderful tutorials on here!

    Great video thank you for the time.
    Many years ago I had a fellow drummer come up with a nifty idea. Play a single, double triple paradiddle. Each time you play it the starting hand shifts. At the time I was trying to develop better left hand strength. In this exercise it shifts back and forth, one starts right, then it starts left. Anyway just thought I'd share my experience. You can get a salsa groove thats pretty cool.
    Thanks!

    sick groove, mate and nicely broken down. You could try playing the 'cross sick' notes on the actual side of the cajon (rather than the side of the face). Gives almost a conga sounds

    i'm a visual guy, and i don't know if its just me but i'm facing computer, so i find myself getting stuff backwards, and suggestions? I kinda know this makes me sound stupid, but i keep getting left and right mixed up.

    Wow! Haven't seen this many new concepts in a video in a long time! Love it! Can you do a follow up showing how to "think" in different time signatures? For instance, I know that to play 16th notes you count one-e and a two-e and a etc. How would I count off triplets or a 6/8 groove? Thanks!

    Awesome tutorial, thanks! Btw, isn't it called a Paraparadiddle instead?

    • @rosslmccallum
      @rosslmccallum  4 роки тому

      Peanutifull Thanks!
      I’ve always known these:
      Paradiddle - RLRR LRLL
      Paradiddle diddle - RLRRLL RLRRLL
      Double paradiddle - RLRLRR LRLRLL
      Triple paradiddle - RLRLRLRR LRLRLRLL
      I guess the name doesn’t matter but I find “double paradiddle” easier to read as a word personally.
      Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
