About My Channel:
Hello, my name is Ross and I like to make cajon tutorials. I hope I can help you with some basic rhythms, techniques or anything else you would like to learn. Playing a musical instrument like the cajon might become part of the best experiences in your life. I owe many of my favourite moments to being a drummer and getting involved with music. This channel is about having a crazy plan in life and playing one of the coolest instruments out there! While you're here, please feel free to ask me anything or offer your suggestions. I'll see you very soon when I upload my next video!
Hey thanks for watching! 😁 There’s now a 260 page eBook that goes with the Cajon Method 1.1 course. It's full of easy-to-read notation, practice tips and more. If you're interested, please consider joining the class. ua-cam.com/users/rosslmccallumjoin Thank you! ❤
I'm borrowing my friend's cajon to determine whether or not I should buy one for myself. You are the main reason why i'm going to buy one since you have all these wonderful tutorials on here!
Thank you so much! best Сajon tutorial videos ever!

Hello from Ukraine!
Great lessons!!! Thanks 😊
Thank you! I’m glad I could help :-)
Your best so far!
great work man
i looooove your videos! you are an awesome teacher :D
Great video thank you for the time.
Many years ago I had a fellow drummer come up with a nifty idea. Play a single, double triple paradiddle. Each time you play it the starting hand shifts. At the time I was trying to develop better left hand strength. In this exercise it shifts back and forth, one starts right, then it starts left. Anyway just thought I'd share my experience. You can get a salsa groove thats pretty cool.
Thanks!
Great work Ross! Really enjoyed this vid....

Your cajon lesson is best in youtube!
Big Fan from Philippines. Nice Cajon. Hoping to have one soon
Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope you get a cajon soon too.
sick groove, mate and nicely broken down. You could try playing the 'cross sick' notes on the actual side of the cajon (rather than the side of the face). Gives almost a conga sounds
Very interesting groove... Now i am onto practicing this one
Good luck with it! It’s a fun one :-)
Cajon giveaway maybe???? Lol love the vids
Bro damn tough. Lot practice needed.
Keep it up!
Thank you brother
Happy to help!
@@rosslmccallum I Am New cajon player. I love this play
i'm a visual guy, and i don't know if its just me but i'm facing computer, so i find myself getting stuff backwards, and suggestions? I kinda know this makes me sound stupid, but i keep getting left and right mixed up.
Hi Ross, I ve learned a lot of things from yopur tutorials, do you a have a complete method or training program, etc on the web? Thanks.Regards
Hey Ramiro, happy new year! How did you go with this fill? I just decided to practice it again recently.
Wow! Haven't seen this many new concepts in a video in a long time! Love it! Can you do a follow up showing how to "think" in different time signatures? For instance, I know that to play 16th notes you count one-e and a two-e and a etc. How would I count off triplets or a 6/8 groove? Thanks!
+Cajon Groove Guide That sounds GREAT! Would love to do something like that!
Awesome tutorial, thanks! Btw, isn't it called a Paraparadiddle instead?
Peanutifull Thanks!
I’ve always known these:
Paradiddle - RLRR LRLL
Paradiddle diddle - RLRRLL RLRRLL
Double paradiddle - RLRLRR LRLRLL
Triple paradiddle - RLRLRLRR LRLRLRLL
I guess the name doesn’t matter but I find “double paradiddle” easier to read as a word personally.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!
Please tell me how to put ghost notes in groovescribe. But anyway this groove is tricky but great.
Jahnvi Harwani thank you! Pretty sure you get the option when you “right click” on a note.
@@rosslmccallum thanks
