I've gotta give Kyle Busch credit when it's due. That last lap in the Xfinity race with a blown tire, he never stopped trying to win that race. I have to admire that part.
He said meh, I still have 3 tires, right? Heck of a driver. And if you had to pick one, left front is probably your best bet.

What else are you going to do? I ran 24 laps with a small hole in the LR, that was totally flat in the last 2 laps, on a FAST half mile . . . Credit? You're not a racer if you don't try to salvage some kind of a finish.
@@DDS029 oh I agree, it's just nice to see them still care at the top level. He's not running for points in xfinity, but he wanted to win. not every driver thinks like that. I can think of a few who would've backed out and just taken whatever at that point...
The strangest win was when Carl Edwards rear ended the 1st place car to victory
Stenhouse! He was a 2-time Xfinity championship but it never translated to Cup.

Not only Blowing a tire can cost a driver a win but also blowing a engine or running out of fuel 🏎💥
Imagine being in first just to pull into the pit thinking the race was over...
That just sucks.
I was there that day sitting on the backstretch and the crowd were all confused by what was going on.
2004 Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona. Michael Waltrip leading at the white flag gets spun out by Jason Leffler out of Turn 2. Dale Earnhardt Jr goes to the outside in Turn 3, Leffler runs Junior into the wall, and out of nowhere comes Mike Wallace to win the race.
7:57 This was one of the most intense finishes to a Nascar race in history. The whole last lap I was on my feet, yelling and screaming the whole time.
That 2016 Auto Club XFINITY finish is one of the best XFINITY finishes I’ve seen.

Don't forget Hamlin's huge tape on the grill and Truex's tires on the wrong side of the car. Both in the 2019 Homestead race.
I was there when Larson lost the Saturday Pocono race due to a blown tire and I was yelling: BOWMAN STEALS IT!😨😨😨😨

Was that bullying though? Hamlin wheel-hopped into the final turn. Sure they door slammed but that's similar to what Hamlin did before the esses
Mark Martin is one of the greatest drivers ever. At least he had a sense of humor about it. David Green probably treated him to surf and turf or whatever is mark's favorite

I was just at the Pocono raceway for Bowman’s win!
The first race in this video was Mark Martin's final Busch/Xfinity win, as well as Danica Patrick's best ever NASCAR finish of 4th, which to this day is the best finish by a female driver in NASCSR national series history, a record she broke that had stood since 1949 with Sara Christian and her 5th place finish at Heidelberg Raceway near Pittsburgh, PA. And to think, those two historic finishes in NASCAR history happened because Brad Keselowski lost a tire coming to the white flag.

I miss Mark Martin. He was such a great driver and just all around great guy.
I think a lot of people forget the end to the 08 Coca Cola 600 where Stewart leading blew a tire with 2 to go while cars are banging the wall and running out of fuel all to give Kasey Kahne the win and be the 6th driver to win the all star and coke 600 back to back aye aye
I always loved Andy Petree's brutally honest quips, "and still has enough fuel for a burnout" 😂

Surprised to not see Jeremy Clements win, he and Matt Tifft both spin out with them about to take white flag from 1st and 2nd and Clements still got the win as Michael Annett was way too far back.

Reed Sorenson lost Road America in that video above and then lost his ride a couple of weeks later. His career never recovered.

The craziest way to lose is to have a seagull fly into your car grill. That should have been on here.

What could go wrong in driving in circles?

formula 1 is way more comp then this
Only because the rules allow it for the cars. Oval track racing is harder to set up for. Since you're trying to maximize speed in one direction, Every corner of the car is drastically different, in suspension parts, set up, and adjustments. Even the brake balance can jerk the steering wheel out of you hands. Road racing you CAN win with flat out speed, where oval racing is keeping that speed in the corners.
