Could you please confirm if IIM A, IIMC normalizes board scores or not as despite having a percentile above 97 in 12th my percentage isn't that high due to the marking scheme followed by my board. I tried searching for it a lot but different sources had different opinions on this. Thanks

Hi, how do they know that you are in top 10 in your graduation or in the top 5% of respective category when nothing of that sort is asked in the CAT application 2019?
They will only ask for your percentage in the CAT application. They have consolidated marks data of all boards for the last 2 years. For example, if you belong to the maharashtra board, they know where the 95th percentile student is. If your marks is more than that cut-off(95th percentile student), then you will be considered to be in the top 5%. Note that this data is considered collated for each academic category across all caste categories...Hope this helps
