    Enjoyed this video. Great information for viewers who don’t know about the problems of carbon build in Diesel engines. People should remember that servicing an engine is not just about changing oil and filters. Thats why its important to have a mechanic to look over your car and inform you what needs to be serviced or replaced, so that you may enjoy trouble free driving. Thanks again for your effort and knowledge and putting together a great video with additional information.
    To your mechanic, I want to acknowledge his contribution and hard work and all the other people contributing to the production of the video.

    I got one of these Itsabitfishy MN Triton's and mine carboned up at 65K and had to be chemically cleaned. The valves were rattly as well so that was done too. Then the balance belt stripped, so it was replaced along with a new timing belt. Then an injector went belly up, then the SCV ,and then the boost control solenoid. And that is only the motor side of things, but I won't bore U with the rest.
    The list is growing longer with every month. Mine is a pig

      hi, on modern engines the manufacturers tend to use bad choice of oils to help them meet australian emission requirements. always use best and low soot/saps oils you can afford as well as shorter oil change intervals. add a catch can to reduce oil vapour circulating through egr and turbo. replace the engine cooler with a remote filter as in those vid series, these will help. cheers

    Could prolonged loose rockers wear/scar/gouge the head valve cams, thus causing significant differences in cylindrical pressure, in addition to the effect of the built up carbon deposits everywhere in the motor?
    I love watching your UA-cam clips

    • @YepThatsIt
      @YepThatsIt  2 роки тому +3

      hi, excessively loose/worn rockers will not allow valve to open as much as they should, so poor engine performance and rattly noise. if they are adjusted too tight, the valve kind of bounces and wont seal the cylinder for length of time it should, or even wont allow valves to close properly under load/acceleration. the specs are there for a reason. cheers

    Hello Great video. One Question: What is the normal values (PSI) that must have a motor Mitsubishi L200 2.5L Diesel 4D56U?

    • @YepThatsIt
      @YepThatsIt  2 роки тому +1

      hi, minimum 240psi to maximum 362psi, & maximum difference between cylinders @ 250rpm - 43psi. hope that info earns me some beers, link is in description cheers

    Hi mate
    Do you have any idea how to fix timing chain for Toyota Camry 2.5 engine without taking off the timing cover? It’s very noisy just when you start up the engine
    Thanks

    Hey mate, do you happen to remember how you loosened the three top bolts holding engine and transmission bell together? Nothing useful in the workshop manual

    • @YepThatsIt
      @YepThatsIt  6 місяців тому +1

      hi, remove the bolts on transmission mount and jack up trans to floor will give you some more room if undoing bolts under bonnet, if undoing bolts under vehicle remove trans cross member and allow trans to lower, then use long extension bar to reach bell housing bolts from under vehicle.safety always first ! cheers

    I'm guessing with that much sludge in there its not had very regular oil changes, and now its basically too late as all the sludge you cant see will eventually start breaking up and clog the oil pump and narrow passageways unless its changed very frequently now. Some snake oil type products might clean it out but what will end up blocked in the process, which bearing will spin. I'd have no confidence at all in a repair on this engine. Will be interested to see what you do.
