I'm a Husky fan who caught a few of your pod casts last year as we made the run for the Natty and I always found you to be respectful and fair in your comments. I really understand your pain and went through a similar plunge after the National Championship game against Michigan. We were in it into the third quarter, but there was a point when it hit me there was no way we were going to win that game. Little did I know things were only going to get worse and the rug we could be pulled out from under the program days later with Dabor's departure and the mass exodus through the transfer portal that followed. At least you have stability with a coach that's not going anywhere, great recruiting and a culture that's established allowing you to reset rather than rebuild. Be thankful for that. JN
Buckeye fan here in Ohio.. Just now finding your podcast. But appreciate your candor and reaction to this past Rose Bowl. You guys had a great season and should be super proud of how your team persevered throughout. Winning the B1G Championship is a huge accomplishment.. But right now you are experiencing exactly what we go through every single year with our team and let our own expectations of future winnings, get in the way of our happiness and enjoyment with the present results.. Lanning is one heck of a young coach.. But building a consistent winner is a process that takes time. Sometimes a long time. He will eventually get to the top of the mountain. There’s no doubt in my mind about that. I’m just hoping that my Bucks will be there to stop you guys along the way. That’s one benefit of the new conference realignments. It has resulted in several new rivalries that would not have ever occurred before. Hopefully we’ll you guys again in Indy, next year. ✌️
I’m still shocked at how bad that first half was. I think Penn St offense exposed major flaws in the ducks defense in the b10 championship game and Ohio st exploited them to the fullest. Fun ride this year fellow ducks, see ya next year 🫡
Oregon is number 1 in the country in spent NIL. 1. Oregon - 23 Million 2. Texas - 22.2 Million 3. Ohio State - 20.1 Million This is in reply to the notion that Oregon is no where near in spent NIL, which is a blatant lie. Ohio State only had 6 or 7 transfers last off season. Most of the money spent on their current roster. 3:40
Respect from an Ohio State fan. Thought we'd win by 15, but not quite to this level. You guys will be a force in the B1G the next several years. As a Buckeyes fan, we dont always know what team will show up, but when they play like this theyre a top 2 team for sure. Just glad we came out on top this time after dropping the heartbreakee in Euguene.
Lifetime OSU fan, Oregon will be fine and i will say Oregon fans are more respectful than Tennessee fans. I think you have a great coach, it takes time.
Long time Ohio State fan. Over my time watching Ohio State football we have played in a lot of games that matter. We win some and we lose most. What is important is that you are consistently good enough to play these games. Oregon is going in the right direction. First you have to get there, then you have to stay there. The more shots you get the better your chances.
Great year Rian awful ending, but appreciate all you do for us. Im the guy that makes my "0" for every duck game i go to and let it go in the stadium. Every game home or away i let it go. The Boise game is the first game i didn't let it go . That game told me something that stuck in my brain all season......
And even if you got two on 4, he will still more than likely make the catch! Not much you can do about it man. You are one of the good oregon guys, i saw you on Jucks show I respect the hell out of ya
Rian... thanks for your content throughout the year. Providing the fan viewpoint of it all. Problem with fandom is, we are way too impatient. It takes more than 3 years to build an elite roster. Lanning and Co. is just now starting to add the kind of talent needed. Naheem, Moore, etc., but those guys also need 1-2 seasons to round into form. I've always said, give a coach 5 years before we judge. Ohio States defense was littered with 4-5 year players and it showed. Oregon's defense has a mixture of experience with a few bright spots, our secondary is still not fast or big enough to keep a WR like Smith contained. Who BTW would be a 1st round pick if he was eligible TODAY. My only concern with the Oregon team is really Lupoi as a play caller... I'm sure he's really a great recruiter / teacher / motivator, but I'm not sure he's the kind of chess player you need at this level. Keep your head up man! Bright future ahead. Go Ducks!
I know it’s an excuse but the three weeks off played a toll in how they played. Nick Saban said four days ago that when a team has that much time off without REAL TACKLING they’re not going to be at their best. Ducks looked dazed and confused out there.
Bucks looking like Terminator. I think the coaching staff for Oregon really got everything they could out of this team this season. This Ducks program is on the rise.
We just don’t have the dudes in the secondary , that’s why Dan is recruiting the DB so hard we have better players coming this year , if you watch that game the difference was Ohio state just had better players & our safeties & LB not really good they got burnt all game they was picking on the safeties & LB , Dan gonna have to get have to get bigger corners & safeties he got better recruits coming we just wasn’t ready we don’t got the dudes right now , go ducks trust me Dan gonna get keep going💯🦆

The fact you went to the game says everything. Its hard to sit through a game like that. I was at the 2015 NCG when they got us 42-20. This may be just as painful despite it being a quarterfinal because, like you said, the fans are ready for Oregon to take the final step. You would like to think the Ducks have learned their lesson, but another year is gone. The Buckeyes sure know how to deliver the pain man. But you have to tip your hat to them because they elevate their play in the postseason. I hope the Ducks can get it together. Gg OSU.
Oregon is outspending Ohio State in NIL. Ohio State/Ryan Day is just more seasoned. Oregon has an opportunity to compete with the blue bloods, but they have to take a natty or bust mentality every year. You can never call a season a success if you’re not the last team standing.
The moment I saw the video of the Lanning and the players on the bus being dropped off I knew we were in trouble... No smiles, No joy, No excitement... just the look of tension.

@@Duck_Disciple not true. I saw a list that said Oregon was at 23 or so
Buckeye fans are the worst I have come across. Gummo through the ears.
Everyone report out there is that Oregon spent 23 mil this year Ohio State comes in 4th behind Oregon Texas and LSU.
@jirikurto3859 And they wanted to fire their coach after Oregon beat them back in October. Oregon will bounce back and will win a Natty. They went further, and accomplished more than I thought they would this season.
As a buckeyes, fan, this feels really good! After getting robbed in that game in October, it was nice to show the country who the better team was..
You didn't get robbed. You were gifted 7 points. Stop complaining.
