A company I used to work for sort of did that. We would have store managers call from Hiateah Gardens, or Miami itself, or Brownsville, etc. They spoke ZERO English. The company had started outsourcing tech support to India, so with their thick accents it was difficult sometimes for me to understand them. I have no idea what happened after we connected the calls, but we had followed our procedure.
My supervisor told me if I get a Spanish speaker to transfer to the Spanish queue. The only problem was, the prompts were in ENGLISH. I said she is not going to understand that, she asked me IN SPANISH for a Spanish speaker. After 4 times of mentioning to management to change the Spanish queue prompts to Spanish I gave up. The response I got was "transfer the call and keep it moving".

@@ugandaknuckles3419 You are correct. I'm half Mexican and the scammer isn't. His accent sounds closer to that of the Dominican Republic, especially since he said "dolare" and "ingle" as in not pronouncing the S in "dolares" and "ingles" That's very common with Domincan Spanish.

As a native Spanish speaker, this was particularly special and funny. I had no idea you are so fluent in Spanish! And yeah, right from the start I could tell the guy was Dominican, his accent gave it away. Your Spanish is so good that I got to show this to people that don't speak English at all and understood everything, minus a couple of text messages. This might be my favorite Hoax Hotel video so far, and that's saying a lot!

Seriously though. I dont know if the cartels operate the same but I know back in the day even using names of people you didnt have permission to use even just as a casual name drop was an excellent way to get a talking to let alone entire organizations in a way that could make them look bad.

Aaahahaha. My uncle has a friend in the Reynosa police. Where the Zeta's run most of their operations. As far as I know, he is an honest law man. I asked him if they are in the scamming business and just laughed. Asking random people for $850 is just a waste of time and is something they will never even consider. What a fucking joker. If he makes a mistake an actually tries to scam pretending to be a member of Los Zetaz, they don't take that lightly. They WILL track him down and kill him. These people are dangerous and really don't fuck around.

I don't know how long Hoax has been fluent in Spanish, but if he learned during this dry spell of videos, I feel like crap. I've been trying to speak a second language for longer than I care to admit and I'm still preschool levels at best.

The thing is, with ANY language you have to speak it with people and practice it, the more you immerse yourself with the language the more you'll learn
He has don'e a number of videos where he has either spoken Spanish to a native Hindi speaker (which really messes them up) or to bust a scammer who thinks nobody that sounds "white" can speak it. It is always pretty hilarious.

I thought he was going to have his boi friends come meet you for the money but all of the sudden it's western union? I would think the cartel would be more courteous and handle a transaction in person. Very unprofessional. Should have called him and said you were at the Western Union store waiting for his buddies to arrive to give them the money

I would be scared if I got a call like this since I actually have family who works with a Cartel. This seems like a different scam than the typical Indian tech scammers.. I wouldn’t have been able to tell if it was a scam or not.
If you got family in a cartel you would've known these guys were not Mexican but Dominacan, Dominacas do alot of scams but they ain't no cartel, even the smallest Mexican Cartel would wipe these guys out

Same scam happened to my cousin last year. It was kinda scary with the pictures they sent. We think they were from Uruguay by hearing their accents on voice messages they sent him.
