I don't need cutting-edge graphics on Nintendo consoles. All I need is good graphical fidelity and consistency, which the Switch already has. What I would like is controllers that don't drift.
You're dead right. The fact that literally all joy-cons are defective on a manufacturing level is ridiculous to me, that is absolutely where Nintendo, on a pro-consumer level, should direct attention. Honestly though, they probably won't, cause it won't make as much money, plus it would look pretty god-awful in court if they openly admit they fixed a problem they pretend doesn't exist...
Well, in the months after this video, Nintendo actually did release a new model, the Nintendo Switch Oled, which simply changes the screen of the Switch with a better one... Personally, that's not as bad as ACTUALLY releasing a "Switch Pro" would have been. And, of course... fans must be mostly buffons anyway, since a lot complained that it wasn't an overpowered thing that could play in 4K and had over 9000 more of power levels compared to the og model... because graphical powah is all that matters, even if we're talking about a console revision, that by its very nature, is tied to the original model.
Thank you! All a Switch Pro would be is a mid gen upgrade. I didn't like when Microsoft and Sony did so I wouldn't like it if Nintendo did so. The Oled model was a marginal upgrade that isn't necessary which is much better than a revision that only improves graphics. People can't seem understand that graphics don't matter. Or at least not as much as they claim. 60fps and multiple ways to play are all I need.

As someone who doesn't care about graphics, I was really annoyed to have to shell out a bunch of money every few years just to be able to keep up with releases. It is true, that new systems open new possibilities, but we're not in the 90s anymore where every generation seemingly shattered every previous standard. Video game preservation has been an issue for a while now, and guess what: This model would also help that issue as well. If we stop starting from scratch every so often, games won't have to be painstakingly ported, and will just naturally be backwards compatible. Just think about the kinda library that could be built up over a decade for example. If they made an attempt to reintroduce a Virtual Console or an equivalent thereof, we could really see a Nintendo library close to completion. Wow. Being able to just buy a system and deal with less optimized performance over time but still keep access to new games, especially if they don't really push the hardware, would be what I always wanted. Incidentally, that's what PC gaming is, but that platform doesn't have the Nintendo games I wanna play. In conclusion: Nintendo should make their games for Steam lol
