Need to do a full kit with this, there’s so much room to do a full drawn out modd on this bad boy. Love the video on the shop. Looking out for that proton pack. I’ve been on the waiting list for 2 years sooooo ⏰ 😛
I just completed the mod. Thanks to your (typically) excellent guide, it was a breeze. Thank you very kindly, Randall
Have you thought of selling fully modded blasters? Instead of people buying parts you would sell the blaster with them installed for more
That also can be easy scam since someone can just make video of their full auto hera and when the package arive it give the semi auto not full auto
My friend just gave me one of these cuz they know it's one of the few blasters I really wanted but just can never get because the investment to go from short darts to balls is fairly high. Plus it's not a cheap blaster, it's like 60 bucks!
Having one in hand finally, I can say, it feels like a Rayven
You might want to put "mod" in the title to make this easier to find
Awesome video, this helped me finally understand what a MOSFET board does and how to implement them in a build. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
The built in diode is worth the money. Wiring in a diode on the switch harness is the biggest pain in the ass with mosfets, mainly because it always ends up being somewhere without a lot of space. Glad to finally see an all in one Mosfet. Once I work my way through the ones I already have, I'm in.
Thanks Luke for making this mod guide. Mosfet seem difficult but you make it look simple and uncomplicated. I will definitely upgrade my Hera!!
This is exactly what I've needed! Been planning on modding my Hera and was going to go the 10a switch route; now it's mosfet all the way.
Me too 🌈
Great mod Luke. I just completed it and it took around an hour to do because I got my supplies as I went.
love the long format mod vids, but my one helpful tip is show stock shooting demo than a finished shooting demo to show how much of an increase he mods give, it would help someone like me thats on the fence about the investment of fully modding a blaster if its going to be worth the money and time, thanks man!
Awesome defiantly one of my favorite rival blasters
You forgot to cut out one of your takes on introducing the mosfet board.

This video was so well bm put together I subscribed. Thanks "Out of darts".
YES! I've been waiting for this every since I saw you were going to do it on Instagram!
Cardboard Craft same!
You are awesome! Thanks for all your efforts!
thanks. Good to know the stock motors can take a 3s. Thats the thing thats been holding me back.
Great video... I'm new to nerf and certainly modding and you make this look easy even to a rock head like me. Keep it up
Glad we could help! - OUT OF DARTS / Perry
Did this about a month ago but i cut off the stock. No complaints awesome blaster!
Fantastic video Luke 😁 next you should do a three switch MOSFET mod of the rapidstrike 😍
Nice! This is why I ordered that mosfet kit from you a couple weeks ago! My buddy is working on my Hera right now.
Oh wow, If you have that Mosfet board available now I might have to pick that up.
He does, check the description.
I didn't even get halfway thru this video til I was at your site...$100.99 later I got back to the video.
Lol, so true!
Only thing I would add to the board would be an extended LED in case someone wanted to have the LED sticking through a hole to see it's on, also a voltmeter add on for those that don't know how that works, for either always on, option for the voltmeter to come on, by jam door open, or switching mags it come on... just a thought, for if anyone doesn't know. Great video, I really need to rewire my Quantum...now lol
13:32 pause the video, now stare at the fly wheel motors until you realize it looks like a face
i was gonna comment this?!?!
allso look at it at 14:41
Johnny Chander 14:41 is good too
@@Lucas-gs7sk jesus that's a creepy face 😳
lol
So cool going to get one soon! (: thanks in a new sub
Crono and range test before and after plus a video later in the week with gameplay footage.
Esper review please. Been asking for so long. When you get it please try the pump kit too!
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this mod guide for a long time! And what lipo did you use?
Tooting the horn here, that other mod guide was dracs. You'd think he'd know better than to replace the switch. Not everyone Is a "pro modder" like drac. (If you even want to call a stryfe every week a being a pro modder). Anyways, thank you Luke for making a guide for everyone that's actually going to last due to the components used. I did my Hera with a mosfet by using a BSUK styfre wire guide. I ended up selling it, and admittedly I think it was a bad decision as this blaster is supeeeer fun. I'll most likely end up buying one again if the go on clearance.
Basically, Coop and Drac were the original big name nerftube modders, and they are owed respect for that. However, they are far from the best. Coop I get--he was a criminal justice student--but Drac confuses me. Drac went to a respected engineering school and should know better. The best for safe process and detailed circuit builds are Tungsten.Exe (his mosfet video is the best I have ever found), Luke, Foam Data Services, and a handful of others whose names slip my mind at the moment. I don't really understand why the North American nerf scene has been so resistant to mosfets. They simplify so many things tremendously and make the blaster much more flexible.
@@RoryStarr I love tungsten.exe's builds. They are great. It's a shame he doesnt get more recognition
And yea, mosfets aernt that hard to incorporate into builds
The Nerfer From Black Mesa I’m sorry, I didn’t watch the whole video. What are you referring to and can you please elaborate?
@@sanjayl3362 switch placement. Drac rebuilt his hera with either a beefier switch that's way harder to install, or a 10amp one that burns out under a 3S load. Luke made a mention if someone in the community who did this. And If i recall correctly, its was drac.
Thank you! 👌👌👌
Nice video!thanks how much fps and range you getting now?
Great videos! Do you have something like a 3D-printed replacement for the battery holder? I know I can rip the guts out of the D-cell holder but it would be nice to have a drop-in part.
I wanna see a Rapidstrike with that MOSFET board with a good high crush setup using the PCB you sell online for 3S lipos
Please do an Infinus mod guide! Thank you!!!
Could you wire the second jumper on the FET to a PWM or a volt meter?
If want to activate this from an arduino, can you connect just one of the switch wires to the arduino? And which one?
Exactly what battery would you suggest using with the Hera? I don't want to use anything to powerful that will burn out the motor. (Or make it too powerful where it's inaccurate if that is a possibility)
Can you make a 3d printed mount for the MOSFET that will mount it to the inside the battery tray.
I don't this that mosfet board is available in my country. What would you suggest for someone in the UK?
What's the difference between the mosfet board and a regular mosfet setup?
One of the fly wheels on the Persis is loose to where it spins freely.... any thoughts? This blaster has not been modified.
Are you going to start selling the 3d printed full auto Hera wheel soon?
You should do the Promethean
Why don't you demonstrate the performance speed/range/accuracy before & after? It seems that could be an easy pt.2?
OMG I just finished doing this four hours ago! Should have waited
The splitting technique makes so much sense...now that I see it
Hi sir, is it okay to use with 4s 4000mah 30-40c lipo? A noob to nerf world. Thank you
Can you use the nerf recharable battery with this mod?
Kind of confusing for a beginner, would like more description on what’s going on. I would love to mod my blaster but not entirely sure how to do it.
do you remember what gauge wire this is?
There seems to be a strange editing cut around 1:33-1:35. Not sure what went wrong.
So can anyone just straight link a battery that would be acceptable for this mod?
As a high voltage electrician, im just wondering what actual mod has happened to this? Just the ability to place a custom battery and eliminate the clip sensor? I just want to know, what all this actually effects with the blaster
Remove stock wiring, replace it with 16awg and use a MOSFET to switch the system via the stock switch. Change power source to a LiPo battery at 12v (stock is 6v).
Do these MOSFET boards have motor braking?
What's the MOSFET board's length and width dimensions?
Shouldn't you keep the fuse?
You should add a little music in these vids
i would like to see prometheus mod tutorial
What fps does it get after the mod?
So I’m kind of new to this stuff, can anyone tell me what this mod actually does for the blaster?
This mod converts the wiring to take a rechargeable LiPo battery, which improves the performance and reliability. I also used a MOSFET in this build, which prevents the switches from burning out due to the higher voltages.
@@outofdarts Got it, thank you so much!
is it full auto ?
4:50 "And I'll cut this orange"
Hey Luke! #notificationsquad how are you doing
what does this do?
is this the full auto mod
can i pay you to mod my hera
Why do you keep all the bloopers and outlaws in the videos
The process of attaching the wires to the pcb is called Soldering, not fluxing. You’re adding solder, not adding flux
Love it, now I. can destroy all my friends!
wheres the full auto mod
