I have been using my D800 for about 6 months by the seat of my pants. I decided to watch all your videos this weekend and I can't believe how much I have missed. These videos are the best instructions I have viewed on UA-cam and would recommend them to anyone thinking or owning a Nikon DSLR. Thanks so much for your help in making me a better photographer.
Only using DX crop mode. If you don't mind shooting 12 bit lossy compression raw, the files are not particularly large as compared to shooting 14 bit lossless compressed.
I really appreciate these great tutorials. Thank you. Just ordered my D800, and it's great getting a head start. I also enjoy your other videos too. Entertaining and informative. Billy
i have a d7000 and i love it! never had a problem with hot pixels, and i think there was a firmware to fix that and as focusing issues go iv never had a problem with that either!
Cannot beat the D700 for its colors, even in 2016, if you don't need more than 12MPs, especially for studio, the quality is unsurpassed by many modern DSLRs. Certainly they come close but there's something still special about the D700.
snapchick you are sou lovely :) please tell me what do u think about d7000 ??? i want tu buy this camera but i'm a little scared about the hot pixels issues or the back/front focus issues:((( what do u think ??
I have a D7000 too. I love it save too things: back focusing and not being able to reset counter and create new folder at once. The latter I can do on my D80.
White balance: I found out today through a call to Nikon Support that Auto white balance disables the Flexible Program (P*) mode. You still get the '*' but the turning the command dial has no affect. It might be nice to see a full tutorial on how to set up manual pre-sets.
were in 2016.. and im about to buy a D800.. is it advised? i know there is the D810, but im short on cash.. still should i make the purchase or not? a quick answer is really appreciated. thanks.
If you really want the D810, unless you NEED not want the camera ASAP, I say save for the D810. Great deals coming for for Black Friday! Of course I'm assuming you haven't made the purchase. nikonrumors.com/2016/11/05/nikon-2016-black-friday-deals-leaked-online.aspx/#more-108551
I have a D700 for the past 3.5 years and at one point I had 12 FX lenses. Currently, I only have 4 lenses left cause after a while you get over wanting to have allot of glass and only focus on the glass you need for your own style. In my case my two most used lenses that i CANT live without: A 50/1.2 ais , and a 70-200/2.8 VR2. I used to own a 24-70 after having used a 35-70/2.8 for a while, I didn't think the huge price bump was justified and sold it.

Google "snapchick white balance preset" and you will find my video on setting up a manual preset.

can you shoot raw in less mpx then 36 ?
STAR WARS!!! Sweet video. HDR and interval functions are kind of neat.
Does the Nikon D800E have highlight overexposure warning?
All Nikons do from the D7XXX and up as far I know.

Practically the same camera. The menus are all but identical.

Damn i love your T-Shirt!! You are a doll!
Pretty explanation 😉
Thanks :)
Thank you. Very helpful.
cool t-shirt!
You are awesome.
Its almost the same menu as the D7000
Enjoyed thanks
i love u snapchick ! kiss
The Nikon menu system totally sucks. Nikon is about 5 years behind SONY and Canon in this area. They just don't understand good organization.
Sony has all but unanimously been deem the worst menu layout and Canon the best buy a number of photographers.
You are very beautiful presenter! I wanna kiss you!!! lol
