In response to Yabolksar. Atlantis was my 2nd favorite Stargate show, but you have to watch SG-1. If you're like me at all, you're into good FX and sure the FX are weaker for the first 5 seasons or so but they start looking like Atlantis FX quality around season 7, so it that's an issue, just keep watching, it's worth it. The chemistry in SG-1 is awesome. It's akin to familial relationships that Star Trek: TNG had, which is THE best out of any show IMO. Anyway, I forgot how good SG-1 was and just started rewatching it on Hulu about a month ago and SG-1 is just WOW. RDA (Jack O'Neill), Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping and Chis Judge's chemistry is what makes the show. They genuinely like each other. So do yourself a favor and watch SG-1 and I dare you not to like it at least as much as Atlantis. I liked Stargate Universe too, and would have continued to watch it, but according to Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) from his perspective, he thought it didn't last because it was a little too much of a departure from other Stargate shows. It was my 3rd favorite Stargate show and loved Robert Carlyle. It also had the best FX of any of the shows. I will say I was disappointed how they ended Atlantis. I mean I loved how they finally made it back to Earth and all that, it just seemed like the episodes were written so fast. There should have been more details as to how it came about. I mean they explained it, it just seemed hurried. Stargate Universe had the same type of hurried ending as well, but was paced a little better.
I think it's amazing how humble and honest these actors keep going when presented with the craziest fanbased questions.
