I doubt Markle would care or even notice. I suspect she doesn't factor senior women into her equation. She does not understand their power because her engine runs on different fuel. I think she completely underestimated Elizabeth and Camilla while overestimating her own capacity to impose her will as wife of number 6. She was out of her depth and too dim to recognize it.

The Queen had to be heartbroken over Harry’s behavior after he met Meghan. She didn’t deserve that betrayal.
I still find it shocking. He really did go from seeming to love his grandmother to having no heart at all - worse than no heart because of the shattering betrayal he meted out to both his grandparents, who had loved him and taken care of him. It really seems as though he took a toxin that poisoned him. I believe I’m not alone in thinking M stirred up in him a vindictive fury (perhaps about Philip’s “one steps out w actresses and doesn’t marry them” remark). The vindictive fury might have been M’s, but Harry drank it deeply. I wonder if he’ll ever recognize what he did to those who loved him or will ever care. It would probably be too painful for him.
The one consolation I find is that earthly pain is over now for Her Majesty and Prince Philip.

I am really tired of people apologizing for MM. We do not ask the British to apologize for Harry. I don't blame the population for Harry and would feel vaguely offended if they felt they had to apologize for him. An intelligent person like the Queen saw right through Meghan's pretenses of warmth. I am not convinced that Megan is bright at all. Her speeches are word salad, her literary skills are pathetic, she doesn't seem to have any original skills either as she plagiarises everything and her podcasts are laughable. However, the real test of intelligence is someone's ability to learn from other people and from past mistakes. Megan seems incapable of that. She is certainly not not intelligent based on those criteria, however maybe the Queen meant that Markle was streetwise. Perhaps that is where the word street came from?

Anyone who observed anything at all, knew Meghan was putting a positive, false spin on her “warm relationship” with the Queen. Everyone knows that the Queen showed warmth meeting everyone. Particularly in the last few years, the bigger smiles. Lit up her face. She was a consummate professional and showed warmth even to questionable leaders she had to host over the decades. Of course she was courteous and welcoming to Meghan. Manners, and playing it smart. Not to mention, the Queen wanted to support Harry and his interests. We all know Meghan’s claim to a close relationship with the Queen is false because she went out of her way to AVOID visiting the Queen. Turning down invitations for Christmas and Balmoral visits repeatedly. Even knowing the Queen was very ill, and time was likely short.
I had to shake my head when I heard Meghan went back to redo the latest interview with Variety after the Queen’s death. Done so she could FINALLY be seen complimenting the Queen- acknowledging her accomplishments. Even though she persistently ignored the Queen’s leadership up to now. Never including the Queen as an example in any of her articles/ interviews on female role models/ leaders, etc.

"Grief is the price we pay for love" is absolutely brilliant. She had the ability to go to the core of the matter and in a few words manage to convey a world of meaning. By stating that Meghan possesses "no real warmth" but that she has a "patina of charm" which dupes people into thinking that she does, the late Queen has captured Meghan's character perfectly. The Queen was so spot on you could have thought she was a psychiatrist. Like a fellow commentator below, I am American as well, and my admiration for Her Late Majesty also increases every day!

What parent talks like that about their children? Who 'creates' their child? Perfect analysis and confirmation of Meghan's total lack of sincerity and refinement. As the saying goes, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Am glad the Queen had such admirable perspicacity! I knew Princess Anne saw straight through Meghan, but I wasn't aware of the Queen's reaction to the 'performance.'
Meghan's fixed smile throughout the wedding ceremony was not only forced and unnatural, but it was also disturbing. In some of the clips of Meghan and Harry's initial engagements, you could see the lack of genuine warmth and sincerity as Meghan's fixed smile immediately vanished as soon as Meghan turned her back.
The other snippet I found disturbing was Meghan's total lack of maternal sensitivity in the video of Archie celebrating his first birthday. Meghan was posing for the camera in her cut-off shorts, forcing Archie to sit on her lap and reading a book to him, well actually to the camera not to Archie which he was not in the slightest bit interested in. The dialogue was way beyond him, he was only one year old, and the images were boring and all the same. He got quite frustrated at one point and was so bored he just wanted to turn the pages, but Meghan wouldn't let him. All PR. She was not concentrating on the child; she was concentrating on her monologue, her performance and the camera.
Loads of other warning signs in other videos and of course, Samantha's book. Am glad the Queen saw enough to get the real picture!
Harry has always been reckless; he treated his father with total disrespect and arrogance, I was shocked at his total lack of boundaries and even basic good manners in one of the interviews with all three of them. William has good manners and decorum but Harry, as likeable as he comes across is insensitive - ruthless.
