Is it possible to connect remotely to the camera and do this?
HI how do you turn the encryption off altogether as i am having a problem with the hik connect app on my phone as in it will not let me view the events/alerts keeps saying put in encryption key i have changed no setting on app or dvr.. it was working all fine up untill a few weeks ago as far as i am aware could it be an app problem? i have also put in the key following yor video still no joy thanks in advance
Hi Antony! I’d recommend doing a firmware update on your dvr, and making sure you’re on the latest Hik-Connect version (5.1.1).
If you wish to disable encryption you can do so by going onto configuration, network, advanced, platform access, and untick enable stream encryption and hit apply. Another way is to do it via the app by pressing on settings next to your system, and disable image video encryption.

Would you help me please with Hikvision IPCAM-T4 settings.
I connected 4 of them into Hikvision NVR-4CH-PoE and for some reason only one works. This is the plug and play system. One camera said user is locked aftr 4-5 min.
Do you know the password for those cameras? There's a message ,,the user name or the password is wrong,,
The one working camera doesn't needed any password

Hi Cody, if you unplug all of the cameras, then plug 1 camera in, check it on the camera status page, see if it comes on or comes up with an error, then plug the next one in, and then the next one. Just 1 at a time. Are the cameras brand new or have they been used before?

They are brand new, I just need password for them. I've had ask supplier for encryption key for replacing password

Is each port on the NVR set to plug and play, none of them are set to manual are they?

Is there a way to get it via the app as the computer is in the loft? 😂
You can get the code/key by logging in on a computer on the network, using the devices ip, going to configuration, network, advanced network, platform access, and reveal the code there
What is even that? I only have it on my mobile, and the hik connect desktop is just shit.. I don't get why they want a verification code
It’s just an additional layer of security, in case someone gained access to your account they would not be able to view your cameras without further inputting the verification code.
