So, all in all, Red Bull, as a team together with Max, made the least mistakes and won. The other teams and drivers just seemed unprepared. So don't hate on Verstappen. The other teams, especially McLaren, could've done A LOT better

Max won this race in the first 5 laps. George did get him at the start but he got past him quickly. George actually helped Max get away by slowing Lando down. By the time Lando got to 2nd, he was too far behind to catch Max. One slightly subpar pit stop by his team didn't help either. Red Bull was perfect with pit stop execution. Even if Lando pits a little earlier for the last stop, he probably doesn't catch Max. Max then has the fresher tires at the end. So he would be closer but Max would be inching away from him.

@@Duval-In-The-Wall it is a tyre issue. They save their tyres in the first stint to go longer and be more aggressive later in the race. It is a good strategy. They could extend Lando's stint for another lap before putting him on the softs for the last part of the race. He could be even faster....but you cannot foresee things in the race.....

You also have to take into consideration whilst not having the best car , redbull is the best team on the operational side with pit stops and strategy.

Lando ruined his own race by not overtaking Russell in the first stint. He had the pace..there was no need to be stuck for that long behind Russell.
