I think the conversations around herbert are so extreme because his career situation compared to his peers has been so rare. Came into the league and lit it up, produced and had 1 mvp level season when he had good weapons. That production didn’t lead to playoff success because he had a terrorist at HC. Now he has an elite HC which leads to the most wins in his Chargers career but doesn’t have the numbers bc of the lack of weapons. Doesn’t take away the fact that the game vs the Texans wasn’t to his standard. But let’s see what he looks like when he has both. I have a feeling it will be elite once again.

Exactly imagine if herbert had chase, higgins and mixon from the start o lf his career and had jim to coach him he would already have at least one ring already

First and foremost, Herbert had a bad day at a bad time. He owned it, he always takes the blame, and he never makes excuses.
    1. Herbert is a Top 10 QB. I personally don’t agree that winning is a QB stat. Yes they touch the ball the most but it’s a team sport.
    2. Playoff wins don’t factor in talent. Lots of mediocre QBs have won a playoff game. Hell mediocre QBs have won Super bowls. Again.. team sport.
    3. The roster is horrid. To have 11-6 season with a roster like this is a feat. I mean Burrow has an offense and they can’t even make the playoffs. Does that mean Burrow isn’t a dawg? And.. again… team sport.
    4. F**k the commentators and the national narrative. Especially Acho, if you played in the NFL and couldn’t cut it, please don’t speak about our QB who has more talent than you have in your pinky finger.
I think Justin is a rule follower and probably listens to the coaching staff and doesn’t want to take too many risks (ie running). That is where I think he could improve his game. Work on improv and just taking some chances. Get out of his head.
He’s gonna be back with a vengeance and everyone will find someone else to talk sh*t about. I can’t wait for next year! BTFU! ⚡️

    Food for thought 🧠
Mathew Stafford is 36/37 Years Old &
He Didn’t Win his FIRST Playoff Game
until he was 34 Years Old 👈
Herbert is 26/27 so the Future is stiil bright for Herbert, Harbaugh
    & the Los Angeles Chargers.
    Harbaugh FIRST Year of his
    5 YEAR Contract improved the
Team with a 11-6 Season Record with a OFFENSIVE SKELETON ROSTER.
Los Angeles Chargers have good Cap Space for this upcoming 2025 Season
With Harbaugh & Herbert under Contract for the next several Years
    The Future should be good.

Daniel Jeremiah on the Rich Eisen show commented that he was talking to Joe Hortiz on the plane home and said this is the worse you'll ever see from this team going forward. It's all upward from here. You have to have games like this to expose the weaknesses and address them. The thing that sucks the most is that we have to suffer through the long off season.

Biggest disappointment was Greg Roman. None of us wanted him but he at least promised us a run game. We know Herbert can still ball out with a bad run game and bad O line. But he can't do anything if his receivers disappear too. Next year should be better if we get the right players. But what worries me is Lamar Jackson always played bad in the playoffs till they got Todd Monken and King Henry.

I'm not all together sure Herbert didn't do something to one of his legs. Do we know he didn't get rolled up on at some point during the game and hid it. Especially after his 42 yard run that we saw. He had a torn labrum that we didn't know about until a couple games later last year. Henley had a torn labrum this year that we didn't know about. Maybe we don't know the whole story.
