Yo dope, with that live halftime jjos feature, when you track out your sounds individually is that all saved as like an automation? Or does it work on like an audio track, im not as familiar with 2500/1000 but I know some of the jjos added features gives a lot of cool tricks. I really like to "song mode" and arrange in my machines compared to daw so always looking at stuff like this I can use creatively while making the music rather than after, gives me a sense of whether it needs "more". Track mutes and arranging really helps. I do like to track it all out though with each sound so that I have that available rather then a "mixed" 2 track etc so Im always balancing these kind of effects and if applicable or only works through main outs etc.
The automation is all recorded Into the sequence. This way when I export stems Into pro tools each stem will have the half time effect. I don’t really use song mode much as I just make 1-2 sequences about 4-8 bars and then I structure the entire beat in pro tools.
@@evoproducer awesome thanks, wasn’t sure if it was doing automation only on the main outs or something cause this one looked like it was in 2 channels on your tascam wasn’t able to tell, I know you have separate sometimes etc. super dope thanks. I have a theory on how to do this on the asr with envelope and lfo, just haven’t tested if the modulation will save as midi data when external sequenced. My guess is copy my chops to a new wave key, try and modulate those, then trigger them in separate midi events on the mp. This gave me some cool ideas!
@NinoTritone yea that’s the beauty of these machines is that you can do things multiple ways. I never really do that on the ASR. I have channels 1-8 going to tascam mono then outs going into tascam stereo as well as ASR is stereo in tascam as well. ASR is midi Into MPC so I can halftime anything going through MP.
@@evoproducer yeah the 2500 w jjos is what the “modern” mpc should look like. Makes me want to grab that LE white and red some time down the line. Beautiful machine, I tried the modern mpc the last year but I’m pulling my 2k back out and the live is a bootleg laptop now to send audio around studio😂 I gave it the honest go but it just ain’t the same as the dinosaurs.
