I remember having one of these in my room in 2014... my room was small just had my mattress on the floor a closet 4 steps from my mattress and a TV 2 steps from my mattress and I had this heater on when I came back from school the weather was cold I turned on the heater on then took a nap 1-2 hours and I woke from my nap and my room was warm i didn't wanted to get up just be laying down on my mattress! I miss those days......

Hi !!! This was the 3rd winter with my heater and it's working as new! Even I have used it almost all day and night on those winter days. It stopped to works, so I decided inspected it, but first had to expense a few bucks, just to shredded cheese it because those TXbolts, are a nightmare. After that, just removed the dust, hairs and bingo now it's again giving heat into my cold days and nights. I recommend widely .

Yeah, I recently bought myself a Honeywell HCE 100 model portable room heater. According to the owner's manual, it isn't supposed to be plugged into an extension cord or power strip. The instruction say to ONLY plug the unit DIRECTLY into a electrical wall socket, which is what I do with mine. It works GREAT and I'm VERY PLEASED with it.

*You can use a extension cord IF you use a larger gauge extension cord. Don't use those cheap looking indoor thin ones that are usually brown or white. Buy a larger gauge extension cord that's rated for large appliances or that a contractor would use.*

I bought one of these after the steam heat in my studio apartment went down right at the beginning of a cold snap. Since the steam heat also conked out in November, I am keeping this around as a backup. I like it becasue it has more control than the radiator. I can set it for a comfortable temperature and let it be. However, I have had it less than a week, so we will see!

Best heater out there honestly is the vornado whole room heater or one of those vintage/workshop looking metal box heater with the handle on top.

I have one of these , it works alright for a time but after sometime putting it on high it would emit smoke. It would also turn itself off after a time from overheating

    Excellent productt.
Heated 6 rooms (3 LARGE and 3 SMALL)
something you didn't mention is that you can stand next to it and never get to hot also it won't burn you if touched.
I never ran it on high ever.

Plug it into the wall. Do not use an extension cord. Was about to send this thing back til I read a previous review suggesting I plug it directly into the wall. Feeling a major difference in just 2 minutes.

Can you please tell me how it is that I can clean the inside of the heater. I live in a 27 ft RV with three cats and hair gets accumulated in there and you can smell it heating up. I attempted to contact the company I did not get a reply as yet. The way I clean the little vents is I take long cotton sticks and I put rubbing alcohol and I clean the vents that way but if I put a flashlight in there there's a lot of stuff that's in there and I don't have a dust blower which would only just keep it in closed in the unit. I would be very grateful for your help!

Most of the time when a portable heater stop working is due to the heater grill has too much dust which the heater built in overheating protection turned on.

Never use a drop chord with any heating device or don't use it with any AC Window unit. I would plug them directly into the wall. I wouldn't even reccomend using an appliance extension chord.

  • @chrisE815

You can buy another cord for a few dollars. I have been tempted to go through my mother's house and throw out all "lamp" cords- aka extension cords. She insists on using them instead of buying proper 16 or 14 gauge cords
