Building Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit: The World's Best?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- Singapore has constructed one of the world’s best rapid transit systems in the world. With over 216 kilometers of track length and serving an annual average of 1.2 billion people, Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit is one of the region’s best metro systems. Several prominent journals even named it the most extensive driverless system in the world.

My favourite MRT things is listening to how non Singaporeans pronounce the station names. 😂😂😂
lol true
Yes that is correct
Toh pai yoh
It is Thom son not thomas east coast line
It is not a either MRT or Bus system. Singapore has an excellent first class bus system too to complement the rail system. It is clean, efficient and goes to like every nook and corner of SIngapore.
thanks
Slight note that our MRT trains in Singapore run at a speed of 80KM/H even though our trains can run faster then that
Yes, you are correct! Most trains are designed to have higher speeds but they're limited due to several reasons(e.g. regulatory laws, safety, etc.).
Do note that the T251 trains have a maximum speed of 90kph :)
I know Downtown line trains are faster than the Circle line trains
@@LaxMarch2022 actually they both have the same operating speed iirc
@@ZSVisuals urh I was talking abt Tel not CCL lol... but anyways CCL could not go that fast due to technical limitations of the train and tunnel sections
When I went to Singapore three years back in 2018,there were drivers in the trains.I use double decker buses to travel.
Maybe they used a lower grade of automation where they needed an attendant.
@@BehindAsia Maybe you have to release your source of information. All trains have a driver mode.It is whether the train operator wants to use staff or not.Often in certain places where prayer is more important such as five times in a day in prayer rooms that have long corridors there is shortage of time.So the trains are left to run by themselves hoping they will not knock into each other.Recently there was a case where two trains collided inside a tunnel. So what will you choose?A driverless train like a headless chicken or a dedicated driver train system. The choice should be reasonable.
@@KironManuelCards They are all automated trains! The staff in the cab is there to manage the train and take over if anything goes wrong (an accident or a malfunction in the system). They are not driving the trains
@@MrAstonishing47 They are not automated trains.Infact a few of them had crashed.
@@KironManuelCards That means that the system is malfunctioning. That's why there's staff in the cab to take over when it malfunctions. In that case, it was too late for the staff to take over. Also yes it's automated if you go and do your research
Every few stations I went to on the Singapore MRT, I find a LEGO store tucked in the station.
Could you tell me which one ?
noice
In my fictional world, Malaysia is more futuristic than Singapore because they have Boboiboy and Ejen Ali
In my fictional world, Malaysia is better than Singapore because they have Boboiboy and Ejen Ali
In my fictional world, MRT in fictional and made-up countries is the best in the world
In my fictional world, This project already finished and successful
@1:31 Since when did the United Nations adopt the flag of the United States? @2:16 Error in the script - efficient, not sufficient. There are tons of grammatical errors in the script. Maybe someone should have it proofread before feeding it to the voice synthesizer.
You are definitely correct! That is a mistake on our end, we will inform our video editor. We apologise for that. We will add that to our correction(s) list in the description. Thank you for this!
@@BehindAsia 2:16 probably should have read "more than sufficient" which would make more sense than efficient. ... someone left "than" out of the final script. I did enjoy the content, however... it's a ground-breaking metro system in some ways.
@@singlah Thank you for your valuable comment, feedbacks like this means a lot to our team. We hope you always enjoy our videos!
4:07 the train on the right is a Circle Line train, not North East Line train
Singapore MRT is amazing, it’s just a pity they did not build more in the 90’s. It is the main item to enhance residents life’s.
Singapore is a paradise! So lucky to live here
Me too😄😄😍🤑
@@chloetiantianc.8021 after sometime you will realise
After sometimes, I realise Singapore is really paradise on earth
I loved trying it when i visited in 2019! :)
I love Singapore! -from the Philippines.
What’s with the klcc in the thumbnail?😂
The latest to open in Nov 2022 :
Thomson East Coast Line Gardens by the Bay Station from Woodlands North Station.
Pls note that the C751C showed is incorrect
way ahead of Australia. In Adelaide it took them 14 years to get the Gawler Line fully upgraded and that also meant 18 months of rail substitutes.
Thomas east coast line? it's Thomson east coast line man
I think you made a mistake cause at 1:32 you said united nations instead of the united states (as shown by its flag)
and later on Thomas instead of thomson
MRT is cool
Very funny how they pronounced the stations
yup
Current crisis? Is it so hard to say covid-19 pandemic?
What about they say covid
He said Thomas East coast line😭
Bro forgot siemens
The first rail-based rapid transit system in SEA is the Manila’s, while the first electrified rail is the Batavia’s.
That is only a LRT light rail system not a heavy rail system nor is it a subway like the MRT in Singapore which even goes under a river. And the first became the last and worst lol
Singapore's MRT systems are all subways, they go underground. The first line began operations in 1987. Now there are 5 lines with 2 more under construction/planned. Manila is like more than 34 years behind and now only started building its first subway to be completed in a few years time.
Peoples love Singapore MRT and you just want to talk nonsense.😮
@@lpericteo what nonsense?
C651= best train model in singapore
YES
Britain had trains running decades then my country Trinidad no sooner past independence - shut it. A 2016 report indicated our PTSC busses nothing to be proud of.
fun fact: stage 2 had open and i think stage 3 too
Awesome
LOL
All driverless except for NSL & EWL trains
why did he say tOHmas east coast line
it's Thomson East Coast Line
Is Toa Payoh not toapeo we Singaporean say Toa Payoh not toapeo you have the accent you still have to say Toa Payoh
Sue him then or shut up.
You can correct him, but not demand him. Why need to mention 'have accent still have to say..."?
