I know that Ryu is supposed to be saying "Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku" when he does the hurricane kick, but for the life of me I can't hear that in what he's saying.
Certainly, mate. I am very sad to see the few arcades that still resist closing the doors. Those of us who live in that era have only the games launched for modern video games to play online or FightCad.
I was totally finally able to review this screen about 3 days ago, in an arcade, I felt pure remembering the wonderful childhood I had, and I could see that I really did everything I should.

De mis juegos favoritos desde la infancia recuerdo que la maquinita estaba por todos lados papelerías, centros comerciales, restaurantes, locales de maquinitas etc si el World Warrior fue un hitazo yo creo que esta versión lo superó sobretodo aquí en México y cuando me regalaron el Super Nintendo venía con el obvio Super Mario World y aparte me regalaron el de Terminator (el cual nunca pude terminar) y este en la versión World Warrior en la navidad del 92 lo jugaba diario con mi hermano o con mis primos que a veces nos visitaban me acostumbré tanto a los controles del Super NES que cuando lo llegaba a jugar en las máquinas se me hacía más complicado la versión Hyper Fighting (Turbo en el Super NES) era muy difícil de encontrar yo creo que ni es muy recordada porque vi pocas maquinitas por lo menos aquí en México y que decir de las melodías de todos los personajes del opening y del ending todas son excelentes algunas me gustan más en la versión de Super NES aunque sean menos realistas y hacen más uso de trompetas sintetizadas y en la máquina se oyen más reales
Divertido leer historias de personas de otros países y tienen mucha similitud con mi historia en el mundo de los juegos. También creo que la edición de Street Fighter Champion es mejor que la anterior y este título es uno de mis favoritos de todos los tiempos. Aquí en Brasil tuve la suerte de jugar todas las versiones de Street Fighter en salas recreativas, pero en mi casa tenía una Super Nintendo que me divertía mucho. Pero la versión arced siempre ha sido muy superior. Jugué Super Street Fighter 2X de 3DO en una tienda de videos en 1994 y quedé impresionado. @@Jan61083 Yo también pude jugar todas las versiones del Street Fighter 2 en las maquinitas como les llamamos aquí en México aunque mi favorita siempre va a ser la Champion Edition aunque la World Warrior no se queda atrás pues la primera pero la The New Challengers me gusta mucho porque introdujo más personajes a otra chica más Cammy aunque la música prefiero la de World Warrior/Champion Edition la versión Hyper Fighting fue rara de ver aquí en México la vi pocas veces y la Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo también que yo recuerde no fue tan popular por lo menos aquí en México pero se vió más que la Hyper después cuando llegaron los Alpha aunque me gustaron me decepcionaron un poco porque tenían menos personajes pero el Alpha 3 es muy bueno porque tiene a todos los personajes del SF 2 ese juego revivió mi gusto por Street Fighter otra vez porque en ese tiempo estaba más enfocado en King Of Fighters y Mortal Kombat saludos hasta Brasil
@Ebi Tha' Genius by personal experience. I seen both shoryukens flying at the same time and 8/10 times, Ryu wins then Ken wins in the other two. Only a few times both are invincible and won't hurt each other

I'm 46 now . When I was around 15 -17 I think this game must have come out and I use to play it everyday after school. Pinch some money from mum and go down the fish and chip shop to play street fighter. We started with street fighter 2 . We figure out invisible throw and at least a dozen or more what seemed like cheats, even arcade shut down.. but I preferred champion edition. Pure fighting. And I would like to here if there's anybody that could clock this game ( perfect every match) without taking a single hit! Yup I could do it using guile. I don't play any games anymore but at the time this was awesome. Then came mortal combat....

Ryu's theme was always my favourite.
I like Sagat's theme Bison's, Balrog's, Vega's and Dhalsim's.
