While vast youtubers reviewing current Sony cameras, you just review an old camera the G7. Better yet you produce the pictures like a pro outside studio. You sir are god of camera or art. Thank you.
G7 is STILL a workhorse even after all of these years and it still commands a premium on the used market for that reason. The real ones know what's GOATed
Hi Cara and Marcus, those light stands gave me a surprise - four of them! Magic. A bit like rabbits out of a hat. Wow! Thanks to both of you, wonderful modelling Cara, excellent filming and a really clear and enthusiastic presentation (as usual!) by you Markus.
You’re right, it’s amazing to know that those photos were taken in a natural environment not in a studio and they do remind me of the View Masters I used to look through as a kid in the 80s.
What settings are you using? Just kidding. I do like the bag. It doesn't scream "I'm a camera bag!! Steal me!!" I also like the recommendation on the G7. I feel like that camera almost gets labeled as a toy camera. Thanks for always showing us fun and great ways to think about photography.
I am amazed by the image quality of the Lumix G7 and the various lenses you have. I have looked up cost of this camera and very affordable. Thanks for excellent review and your model is a pretty lady!
Markus, the title of this video, must be the joy of fotography. You reminded me Bob Ross and the joy of painting. I had the same feeling of happiness watching you in this episode!
I may have had some fun joking with you in the last episode about the minimalism... but hey, you blew me away that you fit all that in that one bag. But I was very impressed with the 3D effect, and yes, I was one of those with his View-finder. Yeau.. great effect with Cara in between the trees. 👍👍
You guys just make me smile! You make photography fun once again…not so much the latest and greatest! BTW the OA3 footage (or what I assumed was that) looked great…now of course, you can buy the bit more improved 4, but you have to ask why?
I love my Olympus OMD camera despite it not having a flip out screen or mic jack. Some of the best pictures I've taken lately has been with that camera and an old Canon FD 50mm with a Pixco speed booster. Plus it's much cheaper than many other cameras and lenses. Great video and always looking forward to the next one.
Love it, you got me loving MFT and buy a AD200...now I want to add an AD100pro next I think, lovely pictures, quality content as usual, and far from the influencer advertisements that make up 99% of UA-cam.
OMG! That was one of the coolest videos I've seen in a long time! Great work, Markus! I love the fact you used the G7, not some Sony FF camera. It goes to show that you great results are in the lighting and how you manipulate it.
Hi Markus, watching this after your comprehensive AD200 video.... would you now recommend three AD100's over AD200's - I know each use case is different - but just starting out here. Thank you
Awesome video Markus, as usual. I just have to ask, now that you love the AD100s so much, will you have a use for the AD200s anymore? Those 100s do a great job. Thanks.
Hi Markus awesome pic love them.. BUTTTT, I have one G7 with kit lens and 2 others I bought plus Cannon 7D and 2 others one anyway I love the G7 but I can never get to pics like yours On Manual not even on full Auto dint know why.... can you help or assit. Im getting frustrated and dont want to use them at all.
Good evening (UK) Markus, I’ve become an avid fan of your videos - & taken your advice on the AD100Pro tripods + selfie-sticks (both can be bought through Amazon here in GB) … BUT … Please could you tell me where I could find your ‘extension rods’? (They’d give that extra bit of height for pointing the lights down at 45 degrees)
Not sure which extension rods you are referring to, but I always leave links in the description box. Here are a number of videos with extension rod links ua-cam.com/video/rXCzMghUelo/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/7HYD9r1ZeAs/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/XYTNIl4sumk/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/20O1NQj218o/v-deo.html
@@MarkusPix - with countless ‘followers/subscribers’ - I didn’t expect a reply … or certainly NOT so fast. Thank-you, so very much, Markus! The answer to my question is/was that the extension comes from an £80 tripod you obviously own a few of - watching the pennies right now - so as I’m looking for 3 (for 3 ad100pro’s) I may have to look at alternatives. 😏😅
Amazon has a 118” long selfie stick of the same construction as the Vrig 53” long selfie stick in your video. I have it and it works great. It’s sold under the name Telesin G2. Looking to get the AOKA tripod to use as a stand per your recommendation. I bought the Fotopro X-Aircross 3 lite tripod on your recommendation and it’s fantastic! Keep up the great work!
I have several of the G2s but didn't mention them in the video- they are way too fragile and don't lock well, I wouldn't trust them with anything heavier than a Gopro. I also have another one just like it by another brand that's half the cost of the Telesin- KoveYzao 116” www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B93PWGNK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1ust like it I've never seen carbon fiber so paper thin! I like to compare. One's smaller and lighter so I wanted to see if I could be ok with it, but once I put the 1.4 on there, all bets were off. I would still use the other one though if I wanted to be as compact, lightweight and small as possible.
Hello, basic question,I just bought a olympus pen lite E-PL5 camera and want to buy extra lenses, how do you look up lenses for a four thirds or mirrorless lenses? New to this format. Thanks
Notice that he just casually mentions the colors orange and green. i think color is important in pictures. If you can control it great. He certainly controls the light by using 3 of them. Color, light and composition, he controls them all. Good stuff.
I have a dozen of them, never use them because I can't just whip out a camera within seconds. I only use them if I have to trek a bunch of heavy gear on along hike, but even then, I would still distribute the weight around my hips ua-cam.com/video/HV_xqPxMpSs/v-deo.html
Mark just so you know there was a firmware update that came out for the G7 years ago. There is a issue with shutter shock. Panasonic released kind of a fix that if the shutter went to low for the mechanical shutter it would auto switch to the electronic shutter. I don't think you will see this issue with flash photography as you under expose and add light back in. But its worth updating your camera if your just out and about taking photos.
@@MarkusPix Also I think once you update the firmware or if you bought a newer model if you go into the menu there is a setting that you pic to allow the camera to auto switch to electronic shutter.
@@MarkusPix If I remember right when the shutter goes below 200th of a second you can get some blur. I think it measure the shake with accaccelerometer. I don't think I ever got blur with my G7 but I just leave the auto setting on just in case maybe the light gets low and I'm now at 100th of a second.
I have the G7 great camera I just don't use it's lot because I shoot weddings and I really need dual card slots just in case a card fails. You never want to be in that boat and tell a bride sorry no photos.
While vast youtubers reviewing current Sony cameras, you just review an old camera the G7. Better yet you produce the pictures like a pro outside studio. You sir are god of camera or art. Thank you.
The number one tip to get great photos is to have a beautiful model. You got no problem there, man.
Of course, your talent with camera gear is also a largely contributing factor.

On a different subject from photography… you two are a great couple.
That cute little extension rode, reminded me of Harry potter magic wand 😊

The 1.4/25mm is already the Leica branded modell. The standard Lumix 25mm has aperture 1.7 which is almost as good IMHO.
