- Wheel Horse C-125 with Kohler K301 First / Cold Start After a Rebuild, a look at the recent work I've done to the tractor, and a look back at some memories and improvements over its 12 years of service
I've always been partial to the black hoods myself. Nice vid!
This is my favorite style of wheel horse.
That thing is awesome! Full watch!
Love it! Great video Carl, she sounds great!
Thanks for commenting on the video. It's not like you inspired me to make this video or were mentioned in this video or anything like that lol.
Hahaha, yeah. Well I figured I'd let ya know that I liked it a lot!
Thanks for making this video. very niche thing that doesn't get a lot of views but i have a C-125 i just got running. parents bought it new in 1984, same year i was born, and i used to mow our lawn at like 10 years old on this thing. Some nostalgia goin on i guess. My question is since you just rebuilt the engine i wonder what the power is like while mowing 3" tall grass. Mine i just put a new carburetor on and got it running all but perfectly but it's bogging in 2nd mowing grass that's not THAT tall. has a new deck and all bearings are in good shape. I guess i wonder how much power i should expect out of this thing. the new zero turns get 20-40 HP engines so i just wonder if rebuilding the thing is even worth it and if this is normal. Thanks again.
Mine wasn’t really down on power but was hard to start and backfired when I shut it off, turns out timing was a mile off, don’t set the points with a feeler guage, use an ohmmeter and verify with timing light
@@carlhartman9358 How does that work, I'm kinda confused.
@@jdclay1547 There might be an isavetractors video on it, it's hard to explain, basically, there is a timing mark on the flywheel, at the moment this goes by the pointer, the points need to open, which you can check with an ohmmeter checking for continuity or with a timing light
Great wheel horse!! I'm interested in replacing the front spindles, do you know what's the part number?
I don't know the part numbers, but it's fairly straightforward to look up toro part numbers on partstree.com or check out wheelhorseforum.com
You are so lucky!
Oh BTW, I think I know who you are talking about at 5:30...might have heard that somewhere before....
lol. You? no I was just speaking in generalities. haha
I've just bort a wheelhorse c125
