how many grazing acres do you have and how many and size paddocks do you have? Last question.. what is the max amount of cattle can you run on the land you have?
Hi Jason, we have approximately 900 grazable acres with several different sized paddocks. We aren't sure exactly how to quantify the "max" yet. We are more concerned with maxing out our soil quality than head of cattle, and are still in the process of finding the optimal ways to do that.
@@HeiferUSA Thank you for the reply! I understand this is a ecosystem by ecosystem basis and nothing exact can be figured in as everything in nature likes to adapt and change and so must we with it. You are doing amazing work there and are an encouragement to all. Please keep pushing truth out there so ears may hear!

Looks like you have red and black angus. Am i right?
South Poll and a few leftover black angus. but we are primarily raising the south poll breed.
@@HeiferUSA I hear the South Poll are a real tame and quiet breed. Very healthy and not prone to many diseases and illnesses.
@@kl1958 that is all true in our experience. and they finish really well on grass in hot and humid environments like ours in Arkansas.
@@HeiferUSA OK Thanks again!
I prefer the word recovery over the word rest, rest is damaging so much land in the world right now.
Great insight, Gustav! Thanks for sharing.
@@HeiferUSA As Savory puts it in his book, Rest: The most misunderstood tool in the world.
