I've been enthusiastically sharing your channel with my friends and colleagues. As fellow senior citizens, we too rely heavily on mental fortitude. In July 2024, we embarked on a memorable journey to Ladakh, traversing starting from Leh Airport to Srinagar Airport while returning completing a 10 days tour in an Innova Crysta. We were fortunate to secure a much more affordable rate as the tour company is associated with one of my close patients. Inspired by your itinerary, we're now planning a similar adventure to Kerala in November.

Really informative, after the ride from alleppey to Kottayam via State boat, did you both leave your luggage with the driver and join him at Kottayam? I am trying to fit this boat ride but wondering how to manage the luggage

Yes , u are right . we left the luggage with the driver. And he picked us from Kottayam.
The same thing we did in our recent trip to Bali also.

We booked everything ourselves after analysis.
And we didn’t take services from srees. We mentioned it because their site looked very genuine and the prices reasonable.
We booked taxi from some other service, Gokulam travel, whose front desk was quite cooperative, but the driver they provided was quite mean and thankless person.

Yes, we booked one taxi only for the whole trip. We booked from Gokulam travels . Agency’s front desk was good but driver was a rogue.
sreestour.com also seemed a good agency to us. U can try that for hiring taxi

Yes sir! Kanyakumari has very good stay options just near the Vivekanand memorial. Vivekanand centre also provides good accommodation at reasonable charges .

Complete itinerary is given in this special episode.
In nine days u can do
Reach Kochi in the morning, do sight seeing. Refer episode 1 of our Kerala series, then stay at
Kochi 1st night,
2nd day move to Athirapally waterfalls and reach Munnar in the evening. Stay at Munnar
3rd day Munnar sight seeing, stay at Munnar.
4th day move to thekkaddy early, see spice garden and tea garden and chocolate factory on the way. See Kalaripayattu and Kathakali in the evening, stay at thekkady and Periyar tiger reserve on 5tha day early morning.
And move to alleppy.
U will hv to skip vagamon
Visit alleppy beach and local points and do some shikara ride. Stay at alleppy in KTDC hotel. Check if govt ferry from alleppy to Kollam is operating. If yes,
Then move to Kollam via that ferry. Enjoy complete vaganza of Kerala backwaters and See Ashtamudi lake in Kollam . And varkala is just 25 kms from Kollam. Night stay at Varkala on sixth day. Enjoy varkala cliff market and beach.
On 7th day , u can move a bit late from varkala for Trivandrum as it’s just 50 kms.
Spend 7th and 8th day at Trivandrum.
U can go to Kanyakumari also but it may be very hectic.
Cost may be around 1L with tight hand.

I HAVE seen hundreds of VIDEOS ON KERALA in at least 6 languages.But except in a handful cases rest all show
same destinations same locations same theme
and
same script even.
I looks that the travelor was air dropped from say Munnar to Chadaya mangalam ! Once KERALA was TRIVANDRUM ..KOLLAM..ALLEPPEY..KOTTAYAM..KOCHI..then MALABAR areas mostly CALICUT.
Now TRIVANDRUM AND KOCHI POINTS ONLY?

We tried to cover maximum areas, which u mentioned, Quilon was in our Itinerary. We had planned from Alleppey to Quilon by boat. But that service was not working those days.
