He also played on KISS' Dynasty and Unmasked albums. He was almost Peter Criss' replacement.

Thanks so much for uploading this! I saw Anton getting attacked by butterflies once when this first aired and have been wanting ever since to see it again! I never forgot about it. Thank you!

Sometimes when my kids want my approval on something I'll ask them, "What do you want, an Ace Award?"

So close to a Siskel and Ebert appearance! Missed it by that much....

Robert Morton's comments on Bill Wendell in a recent interview with Mark Malkoff help explain Dave's quip at 10:51.

I can't remember if it was the Bill Scheft or Robert Morton appearance on the Carson Podcast, but one of them mentioned the clip where someone in the audience had an airhorn, and Dave blurted out, "I hope that wasn't Wendel."

It was Morty. Glad someone caught it (so to speak).

I didn't know there even was a Carson Podcast until now! That's great. Is there a Letterman podcast?

I was enough of a nerd to recall Fig sounded at points- like Jordan/ Drayton on the drums-the post-Vegas return
    in 1987

It's shame you couldn't show the time when Anton but the head of the canary ate his head that was one my favorite Anton moments

Will there be more Anton videos? I know there's a lot of Anton comedy bits. Its a shame that he rarely if ever did the same on the CBS show. He was such an unlikely and entertaining comedy player.

There likely will be. Other Anton-centric videos I've put up:

Anton Interrupts New Gift Items on Late Night, March & November 1987 -- ua-cam.com/video/XACWDKEL3U4/v-deo.html
Anton Fig's Expiration Date Guess Collection on Late Night, Aug.-Sept. 1990 -- ua-cam.com/video/CRrDr1P0e-o/v-deo.html
