Dry brushing some white or light blue in different areas lightly would give the impression of clouds and distance in your background, and clouds come in various shapes and sizes. It would also suggest moisture in the sky.....
Hi Ken really enjoyed watching the start of something new from over the pond in Cornwall UK. Look forward to seeing it evolve over the coming months, best of luck Phil.
Ken, love your enthusiasm ! You don't waste anytime !! Can't wait to see trains. Try to paint some puffy white clouds ... very easy, use white and dab with little gray for shadows, use a sponge - surprisingly easy. Practice on a scrap.
happy lil trees bob would be impressed he like to paint fast and have fun ill bet bob would have loved the vardo sorry thats the other channel nice job Ken
Very cool Ken .... I think I like that green better then the black you did on the other layout. Maybe paint the legs black? ..... It's looking great already!!!!
You don't like assembling structures but the garage you made looks excellent. I learned to enjoy assembling structure kits and even scratch built an Adirondack fire tower.
I get a kick out of the “As seen on UA-cam” on the back of your hoodie, Kenny! It reminds me of the old TV show “Real People” from years ago. Not sure if it’s still out there but up until a few years ago there was an old billboard sign along I44 in Missouri for a business that has the line “As seen on Real People”. Obviously the place was on that show at some point. Being on that show was definitely a big deal! Loving the work you’ve done on the layout.
Good morning 🙏 KEN Guten Morgan 🙏. Looks great. I was thinking, this was reminding me of my dad's mountain village in 🇩🇪. There was a ski lift and ⛷️ Ski jump. They could ski to your train🚂🚃 station. Ski resort.⛷️⛷️ Mountain top home as you thought of. Thanks for the fondest memories. I can see the clouds in the blue. Great💙💚 colors.🇺🇸🙏🔥🍁🍂😎🙏SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ken, good job so far. Might I suggest some variations. The rolling mountains some browns near the far away looks. Maybe a slight blend of colors. Also, on the ground how bout some maybe tans at some points. A stream might add some interesting scenes. a cut in the foam here and there with some clear coating to make it look wet. Also, how bout vegetation, small butches and trees. A small town is a good choice for what is called a theme. I'm sure there a couple of towns you can think of for some ideas. Good luck with the scenery.
Ok Ok Ok... No wall paper. All good there Ken. I love the Hills and the Sky. This is the first view I've gotten of this effort. I'm happy to switch over to your efforts here. Brilliant as usual. Thanks so much for sharing all that you do! Very very cool. Wow. 〰✨🌿👍🌿✨〰. Acourse I did subscribe and I'll try not to be too annoying. 😳
Ken ...look up some Chris Lyon backdrop painting techniques for some quick and reasonable looking backgrounds. Easy to do and it adds a lot to the layout.....but only if you want to, it's your layout !
It is an easy technique to do but practice on some other boards. Getting used to picking up the black and yellow paint in the right amounts takes some time to figure out. Get multiple brushes as you will want to switch them out as you go along. Ken,if you try this technique get the paint that Chris Lyons shows. If the wrong type of black is used, it may not work right. Good luck!
Ken, AKA..Boss Ross of construction, nice looking backdrop😊. Your Green mountains of Vermont could use a few signs showing the different mountaintops, i.e Pisgah, Killington, etc.😁 Excited to see your new masterpiece.
I see that you got some John Deere paint. The green is pretty close. Imagine the lady at the paint store if you told her that you sure like that John Deere paint. The only thing different is that John Deere uses gloss paint. 😊
Salut, ça fait des mois que je cherche une vidéo complète sur l'installation d'un réseau ferroviaire, je vous remercie, c'est super ce que vous faite. Bravo !
Ken, it's too bad that you can't have miniatures of the garages that you once built. Can you picture houses on your train layout each with a different Kan construction garage!
Lotsa green and wondering if you can use that to do a green-screen backdrop as an experiment before painting anything on the wall. Kind of a CGI for the planning department.
Good start ken!
Thanks for watching

Thanks. I may need my daughter to try that
Hope you put a campground on the train tracks, with All your trailer builds in it lol.
Ooh good idea. Thanks

Awesome! I don’t have a layout, so I get to watch you build and use it. Awe! Little Kiaya in the end of the video. “He left me”. 😂
Cool. We’ll build it together
Awesome! 😊
You don't like assembling structures but the garage you made looks excellent. I learned to enjoy assembling structure kits and even scratch built an Adirondack fire tower.

Ken,you are doing great, job building layout from scratch

Hi Ken, You are going to need to build another paint shelf for all the paint you are buying. Like the background.
Thanks. You may be right
Looking good Sir Ken
Thanks 👍
Look good
Thanks
We need to know the track plan to suggest a building. Many of us model areas we grew up in with the towns and industries of the area.
Next video will start that process

I agree
You can buy buildings at train shows cheaper or you can buy them online but those buildings we'll be more expensive.
Thanks I may be checking that out.
Nice 🎉
