So glad I found your videos. Congrats on your weight loss!! I've lost 35 pounds since January when I started singing with our worship team. These tutorials have helped strengthen my 65-year-old voice. Many thanks🥰
The first 3 1/2 minutes were so illuminating. You’re right. And my singing training I was better off learning about resonance and all that other stuff before settling on breath support. But breath support is still so important. Basically you can’t have breath support without all the other stuff, but you also can’t have all the other stuff efficiently without breath support.
This is so perfect thank you this solidifies what my high school teacher taught me love it keep doing what you do and good for you on the weight loss I am right there with you
I've watched alot of your videos and I am great full for your dedication to the Lord also I have to say you look very healthy great job on your journey
@@worshipvocalist do you have cardio workout videos where you're really gasping for air through mouth after and do guided reset recovery breathing. breath train breath heal reset? also what about guided breathing before after belting live?
The Edgy M is very helpful. I’ve been doing similar exercise lately, anything that gives me a squeak or a vocal cry is very good. Whether it’s hums, or saying “ow“ repeatedly in staccato form.
Hi Charmaine, your videos are amazing. I had a lesson with you online once- it was fab. I tried to access your worship training courses but they are closed. When will they be open again and where can I find out about costs? Thank you :)
Hi Jen! Thanks for your kind note!! The courses are all open but they say "closed" if you don't have an active Worship Vocalist subscription. Go to www.worshipvocalist.com and scroll down the page to see the costs - and you can sign up right from that home page!
That kind of texture is quite unhealthy for most singers to aim for as their default sound, but we can achieve it by practicing allowing some breath through our vocal cords. You can try practicing it by singing the melody a song on a VVV sound (instead of the lyrics), which naturally allows breath through.
I’m not a singer, but I just want to sing to the Lord better. 😂 I love your tutorials. May I ask how you lost your weight? I know your channel is for singing, buuuuuut…. I’m inspired by you. I have 70lbs to lose. 😩 Pray church! ☺️
Not sure if you knew. but in opening off your video, you say worship vocalists, but the subtitles says worshipf#@less. Yeah! Don't if it's just me or yeah!?

Absolutely - breath support is still very important! But yes, it must go hand-in-hand with proper resonance in order to be effective!

What about breathing through the nose, is there a time for that ??
Yes, breathing through the nose works as well but it tends to take longer!

Hi Leti! I followed a plan called Bright Line Eating, which I very much recommend!
Beautiful hair and content
Thank you!
I don't have a place to practice.scales or exercises I usually walk as I practice
That's ok! Walking is great exercise at the same time! :)

Hey! UA-cam automatically applies the subtitles!
You should not be holding your breath when lifting weights
I'm not an expert in weightlifting, but from what I understand there are different points of view when it comes to this!
