Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments, I'm lost for words at the support. If you are interested in the SCPs in the video I have created (and some more lore about them), I have created mock unofficial SCP documents for the mender and the vase you can find in this google drive folder!: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Q_hI-wYCuoS27ZFHZSxtTDyEz-U2LWRv?usp=sharing [Please always be careful of links online]
コンチワス、Your work is so amazing that I can only say it's amazing! Thank you for your hard work on the production. Are you really interested in posting your original SCP? Well, I'm an idiot who can't do anything (irresponsible statement from an idiot) I translated it with Google, so there may be some strange parts. 許して冷やしんす いやまじホントニスミマセンナンデモスルノデユルシテ
Can we talk about how badass the Scientist is in 18:57? Dude was able to create an effective countersigil for what may very well be the SCARLET KING, while not only being sleep deprived and slowly being taken over by the sigil’s influence, but also having terminal brain cancer. What a goddam Chad.
Having a tumor in his brain might have actually been helpful in this case, since it would interrupt the memetic influence through involuntary brain seizures.
The Critics said it wasn't an impactful story and that "it didn't have the charm of the SCP". Well, apparently they were wrong, after all this is perfect in my honest opinion, and fits very well with the SCP genre. Mainly the fact that they represented this creature as a "Son of the Scarlet King", which, let's face it, was quite interesting and well placed.
There just buthurt. I talked to a person that had contacts in the administration and major creators of the fandom, and he had a pertucilar vision for SCP that themed everything after scp 3000 as bad. Onestly there loss.
@@konradklukowski1009 what in the hell do you mean by contacts in the administration and major creators my guy. the site's vision is not up to *one guy* and no sane, modern wiki member calls everything after scp 3000 bad; if anything people refer to the older stuff as bad.
@@trintavon Of course its not, but he often talked about the feelling inside the inner SCP circle. Of course he was probably exadurating, but he said that SCP adminstrators are really pissy about superpowered humans.
I like how the D-Class got promoted at the end. She obviously isn't a bad person and she's proved that through her actions. It's nice to see a story where the good D-Class gets a happy ending and doesn't end up dead or worse.
The idea of a doctor-like beast that is aware of its situation and can even empathize with humans and burst into tears at the sight of what it's done or whenever it can't save its patient is nothing short of genius. Honestly, good show all around, and the pixel art is icing on the cake. Imagine how long this animation must have taken to make. Of course, there are other reasons to like the animation besides the story, *ahem.*
Yes the fact the demon doggo has the knowledge of a surgeon is something I respect and actually likes the doctor he was being over looked by is cool because we don’t get to see the doctor’s be the evil people on the planet unlike certain people we get to see the human side of not only the staff but also SCP’s too
@@FREBRD That Demon Doggo is actually 682 I think. Since the Scarlet King(682’s father) seems to be communicating to him in his mind and telling him to build a gateway for him to enter reality. Although I do find it strange how 682 is caring for life when in the lore, it says he hates and despises all life.
@@RaptorZer0 I'm not well-versed enough in the SCP Foundation to tell you whether or not you're right, but if so, then it's a shame this idea got rejected.
I just found this and I'm glad I did. This was honestly extremely well made, and didn't need a word spoken for a great story. I love how at the end, all three get better endings. The scientist worked hard and got what he needed for being a good man while also being cured of a cancer that likely would have killed him, the D-Class girl was given a great gift (and I'm not talking about her growing in certain places lol) and given a new lease on life after being tossed away from doing the right thing, and the mender was just simply trying to be good and heal those it could heal, finally escaping back into the wild where it can be where it wants. Very good, loved it all. I hope to see more.
Man, this is insanely good, not only is the animation spectacular but the way the story is told and the setting in the SCP universe are of a quality that I think I can count on one hand how many times I've seen a quality as great as this, even if it's short, it's a story that makes you care about the characters, both human and SCP, simply incredible, and this ending just makes me even more excited to know more about this universe you created and the animations that are to come, Please continue with this incredible work
"It's just a short mini series with rejected scp ideas and a couple of gags." This is a whole movie. I almost cried, especially when Mender and the doctor were showing each other their special ones, and then Mender drew a nice picture of the doctor's wife and kid, the people he missed dearly.
Context for people who didn't read the google docs: The Mender can replicate chemicals and compounds that it has contact with. For example, you can see it sample some of the cleaning chemical used on the walls, and you can also see it sample a blood sample (on the trolley) and then synthesize more into its mouth. To heal people, the Mender needs their blood and DNA in order to synthesize new cells for them. The first jab that it administers to people functions to both anesthetize them and to take a sample of their blood. The Mender then amputates any severely damaged limbs and organs and 'prints' a new limb or organ layer by layer, like a 3d printer. Anything that's not too damaged is instead simply repaired. For example, the Mender was given a patient with severe lung cancer due to nicotine addiction. It opened the patient up and observed that the left lung was severely more damaged than the right. The Mender injected an oxygen-rich jelly into the right lung (to let the patient breathe) as well as coagulants to collect up all of the tar in it. It then amputated the left lung at the bronchii and printed a new left lung. The patient later coughed up the jelly-coagulant mix. The Mender cannot fix genetic-based disorders and defects. It tried to fix a patient with a defective arm and was confused when another defective arm was synthesized. The Mender's eye colors are indicative of its mood. Orange = Distress. Blue = Sadness. Black = Fear. Red = Anger. Yellow = Joy. It usually displays distress and sadness when injured organisms are placed in its enclosure. The Vase SCP is called "Curvaseous". It gives positive effects (usually to make them more sexually attractive) to those who value the safety of children and family, and violently disfigures those who abuse or sexually assault. The main woman for that SCP, D-3501, was a woman who destroyed her boss's company after finding that he was a pedophile. The man who lost weight and then became buff was arrested and charged after he murdered several people who made death threats towards his family. The man who was violently killed had a history of sex crimes and child abuse. The person whose gender was changed was a transvestite diagnosed with gender dysphoria. D3501 was given telekinetic protections after the 3rd exposure as well as that mysterious circlet on her head. The circlet returns to her head shortly after being removed. Additional notes: The google doc notes that the Mender, despite its predatory nature, oddly prefers to eat perfectly healthy or already deceased prey and instead heals injured creatures placed into its containment cell. In one test, 6 rabbits (2 recently killed, 2 injured with large cut wounds, and 2 perfectly healthy) were placed into its containment cell. The Mender ate the deceased rabbits, healed the injured ones, and then played with the frightened 4 remaining rabbits until they were later removed. The chemical that the Mender knocks away from the trolley was antifreeze. According to the google doc, the Mender later sprayed the antifreeze puddle with a mixture of sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide and ozone, neutralizing its smell. The Mender at first used an excessive amount of paralyzing agents on its patients, then got progressively better at controlling the dosage over time. In the google doc, it is implied that the Mender killed a D-class because the D-class was placed into its cell a few hours before its regularly scheduled feeding time. The google doc does not mention anything about the hallucinations displayed in this animation. Later tests in which uninjured D-classes were placed into its cell yielded no similar attacks. In one test, the Mender attempted to fix a patient with schizophrenia. It grew increasingly frustrated as it injected various chemicals into the patient's brain before eventually giving up. The patient's schizophrenia was not cured, but the symptoms were significantly reduced for the next 90 days, leading SCP staff to speculate that it may be able to cure mental illnesses if given enough time to learn and analyze them. (This is presumably what inspired the maker of this video to show the Mender saving the Doctor from his brain-related illness.) The Mender, using acids and various dyes, drew the images of various people into its containment cell walls. Some of the images matched the descriptions of amputees and various other disable people who were mysteriously cured of their illnesses prior to the capture of the Mender. 1 notable image consisted of "a figure with a jagged and segmented appearance, as if they were wearing metal armor with a large cloak behind them. The eyes had been dyed a bright orange and the whole body had been dyed a brown/dark orange color." (This is Volt-Jolt's avatar?) Another image consisted of "a large crimson horned man, with a yellow jagged squiggle above its head." (The Scarlet King?) The Mender notably became more aggressive towards SCP staff after they began to introduce various injured D-classes to test its healing abilities, flashing red eyes at them during routine transfers to other containment cells. In one particularly cruel test (Test L), a D-class with multiple injuries of varying severity ranging from mortal wounds to moderate wounds was placed in the cell to test the Mender's abilities to judge wound severity and prioritize more important wounds. The Mender became extremely distressed, flashing bright orange eyes speckled with blue. Its procedure was notably more frantic and less careful, accidentally cutting the skin around the injuries as it rushed to try to seal the wounds and save the patient's life, even trying to heal multiple wounds at once. The Mender's eye pigmentation became more intense and its actions more erratic when the subject began pleading to it. The subject unfortunately died before the Mender could finish its repairs. The Mender tried to resuscitate her by spraying a vapor into her mouth and performing multiple injections. The Mender eventually abandoned the body and returned to its perch, its eyes turned a solid blue. The Mender remained depressed for the following week and did not respond to further tests. Camera footage confirms that it added an image of that specific D-class to its drawings on the walls the moment that they were pronounced dead during subsequent medical analysis. Inexplicably, 4 minutes after the patient's corpse was removed from the cell and pronounced dead, the patient's heart somehow resuscitated, and the patient regained consciousness. Request to reintroduce that D-class to the Mender was denied. There was an altercation at some point in which the Mender attacked security staff during an attempt to transfer it to an alternate enclosure for routine inspection and repairs of its main cell. The Mender was injured by gunshot during the altercation. Body camera footage revealed that the Mender had some sort of barcode printed on its collarbone under its fur. The barcode translates to a 16-digit number. Further research of the number revealed nothing unique about it. (The barcode implies that the Mender is manmade, presumably like the purple monster that attacks the SCP facility in this video.)
ngl if the CEOs of SCP were to watch and read the lore of this video, and they enjoy it, they may make this SCP and it's story CANON as a SCP document page on their site.
except for uhh you know that one unfortunate d class that met the mender while it was going through a period of particular influence but who cares about him
A scary-looking creature that only wants to heal people and a vase that rewards people's kindness with beauty are the most original ideas I have seen in a long time and I can't get them out of my head! An incredible animation with an equally impressive story. The love and dedication you put into this dazzles, well done!
@@equalibrius8691 i know, im just bored of everything ending bad. Variety decreased too much and if the good endings were a standard before, now they are rare and because of that hit harder than yet another "ha ha everyone died" ending. It feels fresh and new. Feels like people started to think that adding huge tragic ending to their story will allways make it better.
@@mechaSurge what about like a bittersweet ending like lots of people die but people were able to carry on/cope or whatever leading to a hopeful future
Honestly these SCPs were so well written and executed that I had watched the whole video before reading that they weren't even official. They were so good I just assumed "No one in their right mind would reject something like this" The fact that you managed to convey a 30m story purely with actions and emotions, without any major verbal cues astounds me, especially in a universe like SCP, where there are A LOT of confusing entities and concepts.
@@flameknightdragon The video wasn't the story that was submitted, and it wasn't a proper article. What happened was the creator posted a rough 300-word draft plot synopsis and asked for a moderator's opinion. The moderator provided critique and asked the creator to find another reviewer. The criticism made sense.
the best part about this is your ability as a story teller. i didnt expect much going into this but i quickly got hooked and i was really anticipating each new scene. very well done and i cant wait to see more from you.
The fact that the mender is free by the end seems fitting. If he was rejected as an SCP then it would make sence for him to be freed from the foundation at the end.
I have a feeling he'll get recaptured soon enough, not often terminal illnesses end suddenly, but I also have a feeling he'll be tested extensively, using amnestisised patients from the local hospice of course
@@shacharleshem4090 I doubt it. If anything, the dudes probably just going to roam the country mending whoever he comes across. After all, he's not an actual threat to humans unless they pose a threat to other humans.
@@A.Z.296 the scp foundation does not care about the danger certain objects pose, they care about preserving the status quo and keeping the curtain of ignorance over humanity (did you know uranium and other radioactive minerals used to be an scp untill radiation was discovered and explained ?) , it will be recaptured for the simple reason its anomalous
@@A.Z.296the foundation doesn't care if the SCP is harmless or even beneficial to humans, if it has anomalous properties then it has to be contained. It's why SCP like 999 are contained as well.
This is my favorite SCP animation. it was so good, the animation was AMAZING. and the story is so great, it had me so interested on what's gonna happen next. Bravo
This is actually divine art unironically. It invokes that paradoxical desire to want more because you miss the characters, but know it would be wrong to take it so for granted. You can really feel the passion put into this and I would call it one of the best modern arts in film today
This was a pretty decent story. The SCP, the mender, in question gives a lot of SCP-999 parallels in the overall structure. Both SCP-999 and the mender are what appear to be creations of the Scarlet King and are essentially revolting against him. Both have an extreme desire to help people. The mender also seems to be similar to SCP-2295 in the way how they seek to heal people from various injuries or ailments and how distraught they feel when they are unable to cure a person.
@@northstar4517Nah, 999 will never lose. He is a small adorable blob who is a bundle of pure love, joy, happiness and hope. And those things stand in the face of evil, hatred, despair and sadness. He is absolutely going to win against the Scarlett King, because good always counters bad
The absolute mastery in Volts storytelling and capturing expressions over pixels displayed on a screen. For some reason the pixel art style just captures that feeling like no other.
Wow, I'm mighty impressed. This might be the best medium, if not the only medium, in which you can tell a story about an SCP object whose first description is basically "This lady touched it and got some serious honkers" and still have the audience invest in it and take it seriously later on. Bravo, masterful work
Well said, developed into an actual story plot point and not just fan-service, as SCP is and always should be, all things do something greater than its sum
They really said "Now i got an idea, we have this woman except she has some hug boobs, I mean some serious honkers, a real set of badonkers, packing some dabonhonkeros, massive dahoonkabhankoloos, big old tonhongerekoogers. Than she touches something and she gets even bigger bonkhonagahoogs."
@@imboredrly5478Not that I know of, but the overall theming of SCP's are often extremely similar and it's probably why SCP went from "item or monster that does X quirky thing" to "Mundane area or object that does extremely metaphysical thing", which I'm not the biggest fan of
Dude you need to write out your ideas and share them, don’t let your creativity die man. Just because an idea gets rejected always doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea, you did the right thing by sharing a whole lot with this beautiful pixel animation. Please don’t stop your imaginative creativity
Your animations bring me such genuine joy. They're genuinely really captivating, and have really great stories despite the minimal dialogue (or maybe BECAUSE of them). The style you use is just so charming and nice to look at, and all your characters are really memorable! As for the SCP stuff specifically, everything felt like you had a great grasp on how the world works and I could really tell this was made by a fan! Please, keep doing what you're doing! Also don't stop drawing those curves no matter what anyone says
@@Volt_Jolt as fucked up as this question sounds... is there really a vase that does... well. the thing shown in the video? or did you just ad some of your own lore. because of its the first one and its official then... this is fucked up. :D
@@Volt_Jolt No, thank you! I know this kinda art can't be easy, especially with your pace! Genuinely might get a Tik-Tok just so I can follow you and maybe join in for one of your art-related events!
Volt Jolt I apologize immediately if there are mistakes (I write through a translator), your animations are above any praise, and this miniseries is the best I've watched lately, I wish you only the best, keep up the good work and know that people from many countries love your work, even from the CIS countries.
I randomly got this video recommended and I honestly didn't expect it to be such a well animated scp story with some good lore. I can't even begin to imagine how long it took to make this animation and it deserves more views. I hope this isn't the last of this series
I just noticed that at 9:18, when the mender thinks it is about to find a distressed human, it retreats temporarily to clean the blood of its nose, likely to appear less threatening to the human.
Out of all the scp related content I have watched over the years, this is by far one of the most wholesome stories. It really changes from the usual class D getting away, or containment breaches. A story where a happy ending is finally allowed to happen in the cruel universe of the SCP Foundation
Normally, I'm not into the pixel style, but that's not going to stop me from acknowledging how excellent this was. The art of storytelling, without(or very little use) of words is truly extraordinary.
I’m guessing this is the work of a young animator. He has a brilliant career ahead of him. This is quite incredible work. Such attention to detail. I really hope he gets the lucky break he deserves and I look forward to seeing more of such superb work.
Found this while looking at certain things. After watching it, I've become very fascinated and interested with these two SCPs. Shame that they weren't accepted. I think they're accepted in my books. I love the pixel animation and the story here. Especially how these stories of these two unofficial SCPs are connected. You did a fantastic job on this. Well done.
If that ending did infact insinuate a part two PLEASE MAKE IT, if you can of course. This was an amazing tribute to the franchise and while the mender on paper may seem like a copy I honestly find it unique and diverse enough to make it’s own name as an entity. Keep improving your animations and storytelling friend!
The last frame of the video shows the thicc D-member, the woman from a previous Dead Ahead:Zombie Warfare video, and a third silhouette of an unknown person with what seems like a witch's hat. So there might not be another SCP video. But there will be a video that just might connect these different stories together. Or the author is just hinting at what the next video will be, with no relation to SCP. 😅
Damn.. This was... Something. All the kinds of seriousness that a SCP themed story could have, the abuses of life, the hardships, all of its uglyness. And how the SCP has to keep things in check and tidy them up in the best way they can. This was a masterpiece, and with suhc amazing work- Thank you so much for being this wonderful person and bringing your ideas into the light for us.
it's really nice to see such high quality story telling and animation in simplistic pixel-style video. Whole 32 minutes of really interesting and captivating story line. Also SCP-accurate nuances like with the scp-500 being cloned by the tree really add up to enjoyability for hardcore-ish fans of this universe. Can't imagine how long it took to animate this considering that all the pixels have to be filled again and again. Also it's very unusual but still lovely to see a happy ending to this video, especially with how harsh, unforgiving and depressive the SCP itself is. Guy definitely deserves a subscribe without any doubts
Every little detail is just perfect, and you can easily tell which type of person the main characters are without even hearing a single voice. This is a masterpiece of pixels
Man, simply incredible, from the beginning it really captivated me, the simple language, which anyone can understand, regardless of language, really very good, congratulations!
Hands down one of the best representations of the chaos insurgency I’ve ever seen. Animation and storytelling are amazing. This story could become a movie and I’d rewatch it again and again. Brilliant work.
I saw this 2 months ago and thought it was a boring mini-series but today I watched it till the end and was surprised by everything. The animation, the plot. I wish there were more animations like this, thank you, author, for creating this masterpiece.
That was really brilliant, and the ending was quite a surprise! This video is real treasure of SCP content! I must admit that at first, I thought the Mender was SCP-682 due to its physical design. But I think the concept is very original, and really played out well in your storytelling... much better than an SCP wiki entry. Beautiful stuff!
One of the best animated series I've seen on YT. Despite having no audible dialogue except some speech bubbles, it's easy to see what is going on. The characters are well thought out and have a reason to be there, and it even goes into some tiny irl struggles. 10 out of 10, keep doing such a great job! Can I hug the lady
Remember, 'Safe' does not mean it won't kill you, it means it won't kill you if you know and follow the rules. That's why everybody working at this site has a pocketful of seal treats.
Maybe not only about the woman as there is a graphic of a man in the vase dimension and the vase made the first male test subject stronger and more fit
According to the document about the “Curvaseous”, it appears to be a vase that is a vessel for an unknown deity that rewards those that protect and support children and families, while punishing those that harm them. The main woman was made a D-class because she found her boss was a p*do, and tanked his company as revenge, thus she was gifted by the entity. The black man who was not only slimmed but then buffed was there because he had murdered several people who had threatened his family. However, the D-class who was brutally mutilated was there because he had committed several severe crimes against minors and innocent people, hence why it punished him, while rewarding the others. Oh, and the guy who turned into a woman had gender dysphoria and was rewarded by becoming female!
Truly a masterpiece in the sea of monsters that is SCP. This is how SCP should be, instead of “I have claws so I must kill,” I feel that is way overdone, so an idea like this is a breath of fresh air. A creature, misunderstood simply because of how it acts, resisting against some evil force, is a great medium for a story to be built around, great work.
D-3501 AKA Justine Miles was detained by police under suspicion of 2nd degree murder. She was swiftly picked up by the SCP foundation and turned into a D-class. The first *SHOWN* experiment was with SCP-XXXX (the vase) in which she had been exposed to the vase 3 times. First amplified the size of both [REDACTED], 2nd had the same effect, but causing her to need another uniform. D-3501 had broken her arm in a doorway shortly afterwards. D-3501 was involved in a test with the Mender for unknown reasons, considering her arm was still broken at the time. She was supplying a sort of food to the Mender, and quickly backed out. Shortly after she returned with the food that it was assigned. The mender sedated D-3501 during this time, and began to fix her arm. During post-test she was taken into the closet and nearly [REDACTED] until researcher [REDACTED] entered and knocked out (now D-class) researcher [REDACTED] (grey haired). 3rd exposure to SCP-XXXX was in testing, it is unknown what happened to her during this time she had vanished (AKA I can’t describe what happened because I barely know what was going on). Once she returned, she had a Egyptian dress and crown on, several tests were conducted on her, in which she was considered “SAFE” and had been refitted with the D-class standardized, she was kept monitored during this time. The unknown crown was put into containment but appeared back on her head when she was asleep. She was now involved in a (UNAUTHORIZED) test with the Mender, the result had concluded that the Mender was released from the control of the Scarlet king, and became neutral once again. During a raid on the site by the CI, D-3501 was being transferred by 2 security guards, possibly back to her cell. These guards were quickly terminated by CI, the same CI attempted to execute D-3501, but odd reasons, she wasn’t shot in the head. The crown possibly deflected the bullet with its anomalous abilities. Footage proves that she prioritized researcher [UNKNOWN] over simply escaping without him, odd reasons, the dress reappeared, replacing her D-class uniform. She did breach the mender, it did treat researcher [UNK] of his wounds for awhile, but they returned afterwards. She attempted to flee the site with R-[UNK] but was pacified by the [DECEASED] SCP, she was shortly found by MTF teams and apprehended on a beach nearby. After being returned to the site, O-5 command analysised camera footage, shortly after, researcher [UNKNOWN] had given [Now researcher] Miles, Justine his position as researcher. If I got something wrong, tell me, I’ll edit it eventually
How was this idea rejected?! This fits the lore perfectly, if not to a T. The ending for both Doctor Ashur and Justine really fits the bill of "The foundation is *Cold*, not *cruel*" in allowing the Doctor to take his leave to be with his family, and for him to appoint Justine, a Class-D, into his Successor in a way, upping her from Class-D to Clearance [#], a complete opposite of Benjamin in the official lore. Well done, my friend. Well. Done.
I think it was just a problem of format. I read the drafts and criticism thread, some of the stuff comes across better here than in writing, and the criticisms do make sense. The author seems to have conveyed the story much better through this animation though.
This was honestly one of the best made SCP animated short film I've ever seen. I just love how you can understand the characters even without voices or dialogue. And I just love their development throughout the film, especially the D-Class who saved the researcher at the end there and got promoted to researcher/staff member. It makes me weirdly happy to see a D-Class get fleshed out and feel like a real person instead of just glorified cannon fodder the lot of SCP articles use them as.
Dude.. huge loss for them. The idea of an scp who looks like it’s gonna kill you, but truly wants to just help you is great. I hope the people who run the wiki see this video and go back on their rejection, because this would be awesome if official.
Dude you made a whole ass pixel art MOVIE! This whole thing was incredible from start to end, I found myself constantly checking the progress bar to see how much was left because I never wanted the video to finish😭 I love the friendship between the D-Class and the researcher, and the whole idea behind the mender being a benevolent creature was so interesting. I was blown away by the animation and had to constantly replay parts to look at the... (ahem) attention to detail. Awesome work, I love the original SCP's, the mender was great and the sus jar was as intriguing as it was humerous. I can't wait for more stuff like this, definetely subscribing so I can come back and watch this again.
Really good animation! I absolutely love how you portrayed the Scp foundation and how incredibly creepy it can be. Not just the scps itself but also the staff. Animations are great and smooth. Everything about it is just wonderful
I love how well your 8 bit animations are it is generally one of the best 8 bit animations i have seen for a while and how you made a story for it makes it even better
This short 30 minutes of pixelated glory was far more engaging and impactful than hours of Hollywood drivel. Thanks for this absolutely amazing creation!
Honestly this is beautiful, it combines the horrific elements of the SCP Universe and that human struggle of trying to understand let alone defend against what's out there whilst being humorous and emotional at the same time. Never mind the beautiful visual story telling with no voice acting needed to tell a compelling story of good people trying to make do through a harsh reality. Outstanding work my friend!
Now this is something special, you gave so much life to the characters without even any voice acting and the pixel animation is wonderful! Bravo to you, you've earned my subscription! (this video needs more people to see it.)
You did an amazing job in making this. Like, hands down...no punches were held, you went all-in on the gambit, and practically made an absolute diamond. Please don't stop- keep this reality alive in YOUR way
I wasn't expecting to find such high quality SCP animation today. The storyline, the progression, everything is amazing. The fact it was denied by the SCP administration is kinda poetic, the Mender shouldn't be contained by them, it should be allowed to roam free in the world.
Honestly I loved this animation and story. Even the busty D class subplot, so glad she got a happy ending and a job too🎉. Plus the guy got to retired and spend the rest of his time with his family with no brain cancer! Idk about everybody else but this is the good ending for an scp story I've been looking for 😌.
Wow, such fine work @Volt_Jolt. I mean, you put so much effort in the design, story and animation. Thanks for that, 30 minutes I don't regret spending on this video. Loved the ending and how things ended up.
Ok.... I'm going to be honest, this made me cry, it was so emotional for me, I love it!! And finding out this relates to the last episode you made awhile back, makes me so curious about what's coming. I can't wait for the next one, the story, the emotion, its perfect. I love it, thank you for presenting this to us all.
Honestly, dude this is AMAZING. If you had voice acting or anything that would do little for how much of a fucking BEAUTY this is. The involvement of Scarlet King, his influence, and other conceptualized SCPs blew my mind. And I’m an AVID fan of everything SCP. This entire video gives me german shepherd vibes, where they can be scary as hell, but also your best friend in a time of sorrow or need. I love this animation, and I’m so happy to have been recommended it.
I can't believe official scp wouldn't except this!? This is great the vase and the mender fits so perfectly I hope this gets the recognition it deserves. I know I have another comment didn't want to add all this to it since I read the description afterwards.
To give a backstory on the main D-Class, 3501 ("Justine Miles"), the reason she was even in the D-Class program to begin with was because she intentionally destroyed her boss' company and drove him to suicide. You may be asking: "What in the holy mother of fuck did he do to deserve that!?!" That's because Justine was curious about her boss and checked into his computer... and found out that he was a pedophile. The things she saw on his computer were so horrific that she decided "Fuck 911, I'm about to end this man's whole career!", then proceeded to steal her boss' most valuable assets and money, threw them off a pier, before intentionally tanking the company's finances, leading him to suicide. The reason SCP Codename "Curvaseous" makes specific people more attractive is because it knows the true reason they became a D-Class; they were good people who did awful things for a noble cause. The ones it rips apart are abhorrent pieces of shit. Justine being turned into a bombshell was just it rewarding her for tearing her monster of a former boss a new one.
Curvaseous specifically benefits those who value the protection of children and family. The guy who lost weight and then became buff murdered several people who made death threats towards his wife and children, for example. The brief test/hallucination that Justine undergoes (where she protects a crying baby from the ominous silhouette of her former boss) is meant to convey that.

The scientist worked hard and got what he needed for being a good man while also being cured of a cancer that likely would have killed him, the D-Class girl was given a great gift (and I'm not talking about her growing in certain places lol) and given a new lease on life after being tossed away from doing the right thing, and the mender was just simply trying to be good and heal those it could heal, finally escaping back into the wild where it can be where it wants. hi ryan
Context for people who didn't read the google docs:
The Mender can replicate chemicals and compounds that it has contact with.
Additional notes:
The google doc notes that the Mender, despite its predatory nature, oddly prefers to eat perfectly healthy or already deceased prey and instead heals injured creatures placed into its containment cell.
(This is presumably what inspired the maker of this video to show the Mender saving the Doctor from his brain-related illness.)
The Mender, using acids and various dyes, drew the images of various people into its containment cell walls. Some of the images matched the descriptions of amputees and various other disable people who were mysteriously cured of their illnesses prior to the capture of the Mender. 1 notable image consisted of "a figure with a jagged and segmented appearance, as if they were wearing metal armor with a large cloak behind them. The eyes had been dyed a bright orange and the whole body had been dyed a brown/dark orange color." (This is Volt-Jolt's avatar?) Another image consisted of "a large crimson horned man, with a yellow jagged squiggle above its head." (The Scarlet King?)
The Mender notably became more aggressive towards SCP staff after they began to introduce various injured D-classes to test its healing abilities, flashing red eyes at them during routine transfers to other containment cells.
There were some bits of information in this post that I missed when I was reading over them myself, thanks for clarifying some things for me!

Damn.. This was... Something. All the kinds of seriousness that a SCP themed story could have, the abuses of life, the hardships, all of its uglyness. And how the SCP has to keep things in check and tidy them up in the best way they can. This was a masterpiece, and with suhc amazing work- Thank you so much for being this wonderful person and bringing your ideas into the light for us.
i love this, this needs to be a movie! (and the scp Mender is such a good boy :) )
it's really nice to see such high quality story telling and animation in simplistic pixel-style video.
Beautiful stuff. Love how you show off your narrative prowess without words
Fanservice drew me in and got me stuck for the entire story. Very well done.

This DOES NOT have enough views... This was actually captivating! Amazing job here! loved everything about this!
This actually inspires me to continue working on my SCP story (also using my own materials that were rejected).
Nice item reports too!
I saw this 2 months ago and thought it was a boring mini-series but today I watched it till the end and was surprised by everything. The animation, the plot. I wish there were more animations like this, thank you, author, for creating this masterpiece.
The fact that I cried to this 8-bit story just says a lot about the creative community in the SCP foundation. I love SCP so much
Not to be that guy but.. its 16 bit
@@EnsignChummi I'm a little restarted
That was really brilliant, and the ending was quite a surprise! This video is real treasure of SCP content! I must admit that at first, I thought the Mender was SCP-682 due to its physical design. But I think the concept is very original, and really played out well in your storytelling... much better than an SCP wiki entry. Beautiful stuff!
Wow, this was so much more and better than I expected tuning in. Wonderful story-telling through purely visual and pixelated art!
Honestly, this is an amazing animation, and I hope you make more stuff like this. I sincerely think the best part was at 27:35, with the seal.
The TF2 Seal has graced the Site 44 with its presence.
(Just joking)
those were the ones used to capture osama bin laden
Remember, 'Safe' does not mean it won't kill you, it means it won't kill you if you know and follow the rules. That's why everybody working at this site has a pocketful of seal treats.
Yummy :)
ITS THE SEAL FROM THE TF2 SUMMER EVENT
By rewatching this, my theory is the woman may be a potential vessel or body is prepared to carry a child for whatever the entity that the vase is.
Maybe not only about the woman as there is a graphic of a man in the vase dimension and the vase made the first male test subject stronger and more fit
Maybe in all it is taking care of children from both sides
It just gives her its blessing, as the entity appears to like persons that truly care about the protection of family and children
@Name63222 Yes my friend, that is an SCP
@Name63222 What the f--- do you mean "no"
@Name63222 Your just answering me randomly, what are you even trying to say
That evil force is probably scarlet king.
@Name63222amazing
Yes, and this is more or less suitable for remixes 682, which is now such a competition.
28:29 bro sent her flying 😂
I love the concept of the Mendor

This is amazing.
It's rare for a video to be this good without a word being spoken.
You did an amazing job in making this. Like, hands down...no punches were held, you went all-in on the gambit, and practically made an absolute diamond. Please don't stop- keep this reality alive in YOUR way
A story so brilliantly told without the use of any words.
I wasn't expecting to find such high quality SCP animation today. The storyline, the progression, everything is amazing. The fact it was denied by the SCP administration is kinda poetic, the Mender shouldn't be contained by them, it should be allowed to roam free in the world.
I could swear I've watched this for a whole 2 hours but it's only been 30 minutes!? MAN! Such a wonderful short!
Чувак, это бомба, редко смотрю зарубежных ютуберов, но твой стиль без слов позволяет даже мне втянуться и всë понять.
Согласен, анимация балдеж
That's the point of his creation style, glad it worked!

Honestly I can't believe this got rejected by the official website, its great!
I saw this on Reddit pixel animation and this is amazing
Thank you for showing this
Wow, such fine work @Volt_Jolt.
This guy should definitely make a game with this amazing style
This deserves a part two for how good it is
4:47 THE GMOD SOUND EFFECTS
Wow. Didn't expect things to end well for a main character in an SCP story.
Great work all around for a great experience!
To give a backstory on the main D-Class, 3501 ("Justine Miles"), the reason she was even in the D-Class program to begin with was because she intentionally destroyed her boss' company and drove him to suicide.
You may be asking: "What in the holy mother of fuck did he do to deserve that!?!"
That's because Justine was curious about her boss and checked into his computer... and found out that he was a pedophile.
Good explanation.
@@TienNguyen-dg4xi I mean to be fair to the guy who got buff, _any person with an ounce of love towards their family_ would fucking throw hands if someone threatened their lives.
@@ProfessionalNamielleLewder69 Remember: the D-Class are all criminals. Not all of them are as family-loving.
@@TienNguyen-dg4xi I absolutely know that. A majority of them are death row. I'm just saying that some of them had a good reason to be in that position.
Some.
Remember that Curvaseous still ripped one apart for his atrocities.
