I bought that dpad (D-IPPON D-PAD MODULE) to use on thrustmaster eswap x pro (first version) and in my opinion it is one of the best dpads I have ever tried. It is 100 times better than the original (which is pretty bad) and for fighting games it is perfect. I have no problems with the smooth surface, in fact it makes the thumb movements more natural. Thanks for the video. Great job.
Thrustmaster customer support confirms major design flaw with triggers on this $160 controller. More details in a Reddit post titled: “Thrustmaster Customer Support Confirms Major Design Flaw in Eswap X2 Controller (Triggers rotating and sliding off during normal use, not an issue with X pro)”
This might by an honest review, but it's misinforming. This controller is a massive and deceiving downgrade from the previous controller. There is no consistency or improvements between the x and x2. EVERYTHING different is a downgrade. The first x controller had a housing around the micro-usb cable which supported the connection in the controller. This would prevent damage from being dropped or long-term wear. The new controller design had the support removed and connection changed to USB-C. This support removal was a conscious decision. What ThrustMaster advertises as an upgrade is actually hurting the customer by increasing the wear on controller connections. I hate that I bought this controller. Especially because this controller likely degrades faster than the first. But I can't see what's going inside the controller until it breaks, and I throw it at a wall. You don't want this hate. Buy the old model or don't buy one at all. Oh and the rubber thumb stick pieces split quite often especially if its manhandled. This shouldn't happen because a $160 controller should be able to handle it and then some, but this is Thrustmaster. They don't sell them individually as should be expected from people who want your life to be more expensive. Use super glue to repair instead of buying a new module. The manufacturer doesn't glue it on to save money. Once the rubber splits, it loses tension and then the rubber cap rotates which causes it to cut more until its completely severed It's an amazing controller. Feels stellar. But I bought this controller, so I don't have to buy another one. Edit: Insert that secures right trigger is sliding out after 10 days of use. Tried pushing it back in but it just comes out again. Quality has gone down for an "upgrade" Edit: It’s been 2-1/2 weeks after submitting a warranty claim directly to thrustmaster and they have yet to respond. Bad controller and bad customer service. Go spend your fortune on a controller that’s worth it. Edit: Thrustmaster never responded because they don't care about their customers. Returned to store instead. Received new controller. Right and left trigger have the same issue of the brass insert coming out when pressing hard. I got my OG controller back too, the right and left triggers are more solid and have no flex or sliding of the insert. The design for the triggers was clearly changed in such a manner that makes them flimsier. These inserts will come out eventually. This is the worst and most manipulative new product release I've ever seen. Bad people at ThrustMaster employ bad people UPDATE: The brass insert in the X is a different design from the one in the X2. The X insert has no thread direction and appears to slide directly into the trigger. The X2 insert has threads, which will be loosened if any amount of rotational force is applied to them. The trigger naturally turns inwards. This is not a QC problem; this is a design one. Further proof that ThrustMaster is a company of liars. UPDATE: Thrustmaster confirmed this is a design issue after they finally responded to my ticket. They don't care to resolve the issue they told me to return it. Save yourself a trip to best buy or the post office and don't buy this controller.
@@FrameCounting Yeah…he commented on probably 50 different videos, product listings on various sites, Reddit, etc. I’ll never take a single person’s opinion/experience of a product as fact. I get it’s a new product but he seems to the only person negatively reviewing the controller.
Logitech F310 and F710 has good dpads with 4 switches. Each controller, the wired and wireless has some minor differences. I have both you should really check em out.
By any chance do you know how the input latency of the ps5 victrix fight stick compares to the brook ufb. Sorry for the rule break of not staying on topic, though I’ve searched online and could not find an answer. Your content has been a god send for avoiding laggy products.
I remember buying the first one for ps4 the dpad was ass, I bought the fighting pack module and it was ass aswell. I had hope they would take player feedback and improve the dpad at least in the fighting pack but they didn't do it. I found the dpad for fighters as least to be very heavy and inaccurate. Looks like this is more of the same unfortunately.
this controller is doodoo don’t buy it for fighting games. cross d pad is trash circle d pad is trasher. also when you’re in yellow health your level 3 gets upgraded to critical art, there’s no updates to any animations.

How is the fighting disc for directionals, motion inputs and 360s?

Could you review some retrobit controllers? specifically the big 6 and the saturn pro controller
Do you plan by any chance to test the Victrix Gambit prime? Or is the same as the Pro ?

how is latency tho?
Watch the video my friend and you may find what you are looking for
Doesn't matter, you're right and left trigger will fall off before latency is a problem.
