Loving these videos and this one came up just in time, I'll be running Argynvostholt tonight! I hope you keep these guides coming and continue to grow!
My group only met him the one time. Kind of a wasted potential. They did befriend Sir Vladimir. He even let them rest in the intact rooms. Once he passed on, the fighter took his sword and is still swinging that around, along with Gauntlets of Ogre power the Artificer crafted.
Finally got to it, it took a while. I figured there wasn't enough to talk about just Godfrey, so I slapped Argynvostholt onto there for some extra info. Thanks for the recommendation man! - Jake
Great video, love your insights. I've actually changed Sir Godfreys and Sir Hornguards personalities for my game, Hornguard is the leader of the revenants, but in undeath he has lost hope, so he doesn't dare plan for an assault on Ravenloft for he can't see the point in doing so, but he may be convinced to do so if Strahd allys are killed and the beacon lit by other people not of his order (in my game Lysaga is Strahd most powerful ally, and she has the Skull). On the other hand there is Godfrey, he is still the most aprochable of the 2 since I turned him into Hornguards impetuous squire and secret lover (I know it's too cliche, I'd say I'm sorry, but not really), but undeath has taken the little patience he had in life, he will dive into problems head first, not caring what may happen to himself or to others that may be with him, he firmly believes that bringing results to his partner will break him out of his funk, but he is ignoring the fact that what Hornguard truly needs is to talk, and to see that all the years of fighting haven't been in vain for others will carry the torch when his order is lost and forgotten. Also, really hoping for a video about dinner with Strahd.
Hm. I wonder if Godfrey's fallen love was a woman if you would be so dismissive, or call for a comic scene surrounding it? Tragic love is a central theme to Ravenloft, particularly around those connected to Strahd.

Good timing then. Glad we could help!

My friend asked me to Voice Sir Godfrey Gwilym for their Campaign, so I'm excited :D

My players will explore this place next session.
Yay! This my request and you came through! Thanks Jake! You're the best!
