Poor kid. His piano playing skills were excellent and he could've been paid millions to play at high-end theaters but he ended up getting a disguise cleaner job cleaning pianos and dead bodies.
In the Saboteur, the final mission, you see a nazi playing the piano in the Eiffel Tower surrounded by bodies. He plays the song "Feeling good" from Nina Simone.
Thats what iv thought from the first time i walked down that stair case and this captivating piano tune comes on and killing the pianist was so crazy about it lol how bout it, 6 years for a comment thats some shit ahahahahahaha
@@theblackbull55 I did ! I fucking did! after 14-15 years right before my thesis dissertation i downloaded the game and killed that Vladimir bitch once again!HAHAH
Reading some comments I've been thinking bout this, this cleaner playing an absolute stunning version of Late Goodbye, while he probably is just bored while he and his mates are waiting in a random hotel for something more important, to kill Max Payne. Even coughing afterwards like he was out of character. It's just a interesting thought, what if he put his downright excellent musical skills to good use? Could have been paid well and be famous. To our protagonist Max however, he was nothing but a criminal following orders. Thats why he died by that piano right there.
This was the first time Remedy got an original song for their game and it was pretty cool seeing it across the story until it finally played till the end. To add to the little trivia, the lyrics to the song was originally from a poem written by Sam Lake. I may have been 18 years late to this game but hell, I adore everything about this game! A campaign so short yet so (bitter) sweet :))
Max Payne 2 is such a fun game! The song Late Goodbye by Poets of the Fall, was such a great theme song for it! To create a masterful piano rendition of the song played by an enemy to fight boredom while waiting for Max to show up and to bring Max Payne (pain), pun was intended, was such a nice touch! That was a cool part of the game the creators made! So cool!
Everytime playing MP2 I never ever tried to interrupt this piano part. Because it's really something. And honestly, at some point it gets "Roxette - Listen to your heart" vibes, the beginning I mean. It's just me, nevermind. Thank you for reading this post and have a good day!
after so many years. why this max payne 2 piano scene comes up to my mind lol btw in this part i used to throw a granade and hiding in the bathroom xD.
After he played the Piano, he stands up and he strolls and whistles the Late Goodbye tune. Such a talented fella. It was a shame that he had to be killed.
I swear max payne 2 used to be the complete pinnacle of graphics back then i and my father thought there will never be better graphics.. how wrong we were 😆
Smh brings back to my teenage years I spent hours playing this game I remember thus seen I came down stairs like wth this fool playing a piano but it sound good I let him finish than I massacred the whole scene 😂🤣💀💀

I like to create a biography of this pianist
@@yaujj65 yea man. This is not just a game. This is life.
You don't get paid millions for playing a piano. For instance the pianist that played the song for the game certainly didn't get paid millions.
Name one piano player millionaire. Go ahead. And not someone who did something else and plays piano as a hobby.
Dude was playing with a dead body on his piano though 💀
Perfect synchronization, the thunder and the end of the song this what makes Max Payne 2 great
Agreed :) watching this makes me want to play trough the game again :)
To this very day
A piano playing bad guy. You don’t see that in video games anymore.
the mobs in Max Payne are so full of character, not something you see often in a lot of games
hannibal kills: True
There's a lot of conversations that show cleaners with individual personalities. It's nice that even the fodder goons have character.
RazorStormInc: Very true

I like how even the game music interrupt itself to listen this piano cleaner 😅
This version has much more passion than the other versions on the internet for some reason.
Rightttttttttt!
That's because it was played by an educated composer.
Your'e so right, he could have made it far with just playing piano, but instead he got into that nasty criminal life. But i love this part.

I love this scene so much. One of the hundreds of details that makes Max Payne 2 one of my all-time favourite games.

That's poetic.
Max Payne wasn't just a project for the developers. It was their baby. You can see the love and dedication as you play it.

Yep totally agreed! This game was just something, the soundtracks, the atmosphere everything. They knew how to make great games back in the day...
theblackbull55: Absolutely! I was even lucky enough to find a cd that has this song on it!
This song represents both heartbreak and inevitability to me 💔🌠
Poets of the fall music is absolutely amazing!
The one and only perfect piano cover of the song
We're all just going to ignore the fact there's a dead Max on the piano and the cleaners just playing next to it without a care in the world?? Lmfao
That's one of the best scenes within this game....I like this piano soundtrack so much
I wish there was a full version of this specific cover.
it's a faster version of the "instrumental" version on the Single Album: "Late Goodbye" from Poets of the Fall.
Nothing stopping you from doing one bro

I remember when I first heard him playing this in the game I thought to myself "What IS that song...? It's SO good"
In my playthrough, it was followed by the cleaners' agonizing screams after I threw a molotov their way.
Great and thanks for Nostalgia, after first listening i cry of nostalgia thank you soo much 🥺💙
I'm impressed he was able to play the piano with the arm of a dead guy obscuring some of the keys. This cleaner really does have talent.
There are no Happy Endings.
The loghest time i aimed in they head
God knows i did not expect late goobye to sound there hahah
Noone is gonna talk about the dead guy on the piano?
0:30 Best tribute for an excellent pianist😂

I always preferred this version to the original version of the song.
Absolutely.

Max Payne games always had some kinda of inner philosophy going in. Very cool.
Beautiful
This one still sounds sweetest.
"Late goodbye" ❤ This song is as legendary as the game itself!

You should play the first one aswell
Looking at this I just don't understand how people can play games with canned death animations and be fine with it

Ragdoll in this game, is the best I ever seen in videogames, hands down. And I am saying that in 2023.
