Have you looked at a rear discharge deck? I think with the grass being that thick, the discharge is what’s holding that motor back. I know there’s a flail mower option as well. But those are a pretty penny. That could handle all that and more without a doubt.
@@alexpegorsch7642 we have, I only mow this section once or twice a year. So for the majority of the time a right discharge seems to work okay for me. I’d like to try a rear discharge though !
@@dryrunoutdoors there’s a video by Iowa Farm Equipment on here that shows a time lapse of a flail mower being used that seems to be mowing some pretty haggard stuff. Whatever you go with, those 900 series are probably the way to go considering you can use different implements on it and the insane amounts of power they’ve got.
We have 7 acres. This is one of the top end commercial mowers produced by this company. It can handle a lot of use. You can mow with this all day everyday
I want a 900d or even a 940 but gd the price is crazy. I have a 2006 727k with 1200 hours and it’s feeling tired but it still starts every time I turn the key. Once you go front mount you never go back to mid mount.

@@AndrewDerrick-sq4bmthe 900D can pull a 72” all day long with no issues. 725D maybe not. The 900D has the same HP as the 725D but has different displacement and is tuned/restricted to a lower RPM to avoid emissions restrictions. 900D runs around 2500-2700rpms whereas the 725D runs around 3600.
@@shanepipkin4041 very well. Didn’t notice a difference in the tall grass. However it is hard to judge on our lawn right now as it is almost all brown due to the heat wave!

I have not but that set up will be my next purchase, I currently use an Altoz for the heavy grass

Not all 900d are 30hp.. my old city had a 900d and its 25hp.. dont have enough HP for a 61" deck. But still a good mower.
