- NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Matthew Stafford wants the Rams to modify his contract. D-Mac and Travis discuss if the Rams should accommodate their Pro Bowl quarterback. Next, the Rams might have drafted one of the steals of the draft in Arkansas center Beaux Limmer, who they drafted in the sixth round. Plus, the Rams signed runningback Boston Scott!

As much as I love Stafford let's also remember he didn't want to restructure his contract to help the team out. Gotta keep that same energy when it comes to giving his more guarantee money. Not saying he shouldn't get it just not what he is asking for.

@mohammedfahad4049 in either training camp or OTAs he was asked if the rams asked him to restructure and he said yes they approached him about it. It was pretty well known last year. If you paid enough attention to the Rams as a fan you would have known.

In truth, he loves where he is (LA) and he loves his team, coaches and situation. There isn't anyone like Stafford in the league right now and what he's asking for isn't unreasonable, especially given how much money certain BUMS are making.
From what I think, the Stafford situation has him signed for 160mil. He is guaranteed 130mil. He wants more guaranteed money closer to the 160mil face value of the contract. He deserves it. If it doesn't throw things out of whack. Sure they will figure it out. If he is trying to get more than 160 get out of hear. If that's the case.
Why are peeps down on Aleric? He grades out really well, better than Havenstein on the right.

The Rams are trying to remove the variables that made them lose games last year when Williams and Stafford missed games. They need to win with or without those guys. Last year, they didn't have a chance without them.

Boston Scott is a solid RB who can rotate. Speaking of returns, Atwell’s injury risk is lowered with the new rules. Keep him, we don’t have a lot of speed. Even Trammel would probably do well but they wouldn’t let him return (even with 20 yards of space). Time again to ask when will the team actually treat Ben Skowronek the same as others who do not produce. The team needs to let him go and make room for some other talent.

Everyone is misunderstanding what stafford wants. There’s no change in how much money he wants overall or rams paying more than what he’s getting, he wants guaranteed money after this season in case something happens where he gets hurt and rams turn around and release him. Everybody forgets that this is more than a “game”, it’s a business. I don’t blame him after having his bell rung with their lack of beefing up the OL. Take care of your key players.
If Staff wants to extend his deal then he should have the $ associated with that contract in TODAY’s $$. QB salaries increase more than any other positions and that changes multiple times per year, every year. When you have a top 5 QB, you need to know he will want to be paid as such. There are no 4-year contracts. That’s for salary cap distribution purposes. Salaries are basically year to year or 2 years maybe 3 depending on position. An ILB isn’t going to salary adjust nearly as often as QB. Get 3-4 years of commitment from Staff, adjust the salary and guaranteed $ accordingly, then get ready to do it all again in 2 years if he wants to keep playing and is playing at this high level.

I don't know if the Rams want to keep him beyond his current contract. If you paid attention every single signing this off season is three years max (with 3rd yr option) that match with Stafford's contract which means they are planning for an overhaul in 2026 with an entirely new team. Stafford likely knows what is coming.

Kupp, stafford, donald, mcvay has been on some bs. Hard to build a dynasty with these guys trying to get max level contracts, threatening to retire, being injury prone and demanding hig salaries.
