I'm pretty sure that the white part of the circle is provided in case you want to gift it to someone and put your name and the date. Some people are sentimental about their baubles and deccies, aren't they? My mum made most of ours out of egg cartons and crepe paper when I was a kitten and she dated everything she made. I love how these make up - such a clever construction method and they look very professional hanging on a tree.
@@AlisaTilsner Sadly, all the deccies were stored in the roof and when the house was sold, they were forgotten. I only remembered them literally a few months ago when I was thinking about how I would disperse my brother's items when he passes after being told by his chosen nursing home that my bro now has untreatable leukemia as well as his long term dementia. I was wondering what hidden joys I might find in his things as I came to terms with it all. It was one of those gut wrenching aha moments when everything dawned on you at once. The only redeeming part is that I probably wouldn't have kept them for very long except for one or two so now I pretend they're in my special keep sake box.

oh my, you have some treasures there. I do have still have some decorations that belonged to my mum, but she didn't make them.
