  • Pictures taken from different locations on south coast where the Mulberry Harbour was constructed and also where Beatles lie along the shoreline now. To concrete caisson which is just off Hayling Island

In the Mulberry Harbour Museum in Arromanches, there is a photograph that says so much about the Allies commitment to liberating Europe and the complete lack of humanity and common sense of the Fascists we opposed, that it is difficult to exaggerate. The photograph is a roughly 11x8 black and white photograph that shows Mulberry 'B' (at Arromanches) operating a full capacity, just before the June storm that destroyed Mulberry 'A'. It was taken from 11,000 METRES up, which means it was taken by a German JET AIRCRAFT, almost the only type of Axis aircraft that could overfly the area.
If that photograph had been seen and correctly interpreted by the German High Command - had they been logical, rational and concerned for their people - they would have concluded that; The Allies had brought with them, two ports the size of Dover and that there was no way to defeat these people. There was no path to victory, no way they could defend their civilian population and that a negotiated cease fire NOW was their only option. But Fascists aren't like that and so the casualties on both sides for the next eleven months were horrific.
I don't think it is too much of a leap of imagination to point out that Donald Phucking Trump is the closest thing to a Fascist Authoritarian - given his wilful reiteration of Hitler speeches - and vengeful attitude. There are too many Fascists still in America, as there were, even in 1939-1945 (ask Rachael Maddow.) Be warned people, look at Mulberry Harbour and what we had to do to defeat Fascism.
