Hello Hannah when I'm older I want to be just like you saving animals and taking care of them till I can find them a new home I still got a long way to go and new adventures will come my way but it would be worth it to help save animals and people
Something to note is that plastic plants aren't good for betta fish. Betta are really delakit fish and the plastic could actually rip there fins and one of the pink plants look sharp so it could also cut the gills of the fish. The best option is live plants but that could get complicated very quickly, so if you can't use live plants the I would recommend using silk plants, as those are much softer the plastic plants.

Bless you for getting a tank that actually has a filter because most people won’t do that for their beta fish. On your platform you have a responsibility to teach about responsible animal husbandry and you kind of fell short with this one. I know you love animals but this video concerns me a little bit. I used to run a whole fish room at a pet shop and had to help re-train countless people new to the fish hobby how to properly set up and maintain an aquarium. And while male and female betas can be housed together sometimes, the way you rushed into this is not good. not only was this a new set up, but you didn’t have a back up one in case they need to be separated. Now there’s gonna be a bunch of people who watched your video that are going to go out and buy bettas and put them in a freshly set up aquarium and crying because something goes horribly wrong.

Your doing a good job so far, just a little thing that I recommend when starting up new fish tanks. I’m new to this as well I’ve recently starting setting up my tanks for axolotls and betta fish but I’ve done a lot of research just so I know what I’m really doing. I would suggest that you cycle your tank before putting any animals in because food, their gills and poop causes ammonia and nitrite in the water which are very toxic for the fish. Ammonia is turned into nitrite and then nitrite is turned into nitrate and nitrate is the good bacterial found in the water but not at high levels but your ammonia and nitrite levels must be at 0 otherwise it can kill them. So I would suggest cycling your tank before hand for about six to eight weeks or depending on how long it takes everything to turn into nitrates and I would suggest purchasing a water testing kit to test the levels of those three things beforehand. But keep doing a good job

@katr5060 katr5060 well one of my cats hot a mouse and u named it honey because it was so sweet and it was climbing all over my hands and the reason I and her was because my cat broke it's leg :c and so I looked after her gave her grapes and felt for comfort and sticks and when we checked before I went to bed she was dead :c I mean it's ok it's the circle of life u guess

Those are both male betta fish, they or fighting fish and will definitely not get along in the same take. I recommend you remove them ASAP to different tanks. Those are not females unfortunately!

Your doing a good job so far, just a little thing that I recommend when starting up new fish tanks. I’m new to this as well I’ve recently starting setting up my tanks for axolotls and betta fish but I’ve done a lot of research just so I know what I’m really doing.
