The best stylist on the web! Excellent detailed information for real adult women. I now take screenshots on my phone of looks I love and take those shots with me when I go shopping.
Thank you to all the three of you ladies for staging all these lovely practical variations. So much to learn and I will definitely watch both of these videos again to make sure I haven’t missed anything. Such useful and informative tips and suggestions and honestly thank you Melissa and the team for all your efforts and the time that you have invested to make these videos 🙏🏻🙌🙌
Yes I love when there are a few ladies of different shapes and sizes wearing similar clothes because I can then focus on the lady that resembles my figure as Melissa looks fabulous in everything and I can never imagine what the outfit would look like on me. I love the way she employs ladies of different body types just like us "everyday women".
Melissa, you’re simply the best! Real body shapes, real learning! Now… quick, easy dressing for work every morning, and no more “I don’t have anything to wear”!! Thank you! ❤
Thank you doesn’t begin to cover it….These videos have been super helpful!!Thank you for your time, dedication, and your love for women to help them look their best no matter where they are or what shape they are.❤
Great tips. It’s helpful to see the same basics on three different body types next to each other. Thank you. I always kearn a lot with your tutorials Melissa.
The best basics video I've seen. Thanks to your videos, I think I totally understand your method of balancing our body shape - and yet I still learn more from these master-classes. So helpful. 😍
Loved both parts! Thank you for all of your work. And yes to a shoes video. My feet have changed so much as I have aged and I want to stay stylish, supported and within budget.
I really appreciate you showing women of various sizes. I was a size 4/6 up until recently, and now, as a 10/12, I really struggle to dress my larger body. These lessons are so useful!!
Thank you so much for your fabulous videos. These two have been really helpful. You are so good at your job - friendly down-to-earth fashion expertise (with business talent!). I've learned so much including when to ignore the size label. And all three of you look fab in these!
This was so fab! You’ve all worked really hard 😍. Many of the points made here I’ve never considered before and I’m sure it will translate into better shopping choices and more flattering outfits for my petite rectangular frame. Thank you for what you do x
Oh my these were my favorite videos of all … wow so helpful and lots of great information…I will reach out for personal styling services as my birthday gift 🎁 thanks a lot !!! Those two gorgeous women were very helpful also !!!❤
Thank you Melissa and team for another great video. You save us time and make it easy to find lovely pieces of clothing at different price points. I really appreciate all you do x
What great videos really enjoyed both and will watch again to make sure I haven't missed anything as they were both packed with so much really good information ❤❤❤
I enjoy your videos!! I love that you use different size models! I am from the US so I especially like the silhouette teaching. As you would say “it’s just lovely” 😊always enjoy Monty coming in!!!
Great vlog - both parts. Small request - it would be great if the Moonsift description could state which items are from M&S. This would save me time as have to click on most items. The John Lewis ones are outlined and a few others. Thanks MM Team 😊
I’m with you on that one - I love light-colored boots and shoes. On the rare occasions when I have to go out in muddy or soaking conditions, I have plenty of darker options, including Wellies. But, there is just something so chic about light-colored leather or suede footwear
Antonia, i can't tell you how many pairs of jeans/trousers I've bought too big for that same reason! They do stretch. Nikki looked especially beautiful in the cashmere sweater and jeans. Wonderful content as usual! Thank you all!
Really liked the shoe bit in here. My mind is still comprehending a pared down show wardrobe as I have many styles and colors of each type but I would really like to simplify! Matching heel heights across types is brilliant!
Really enjoyed these 2 videos Melissa, thank you to all the ladies. It would be fab if you could fit a footwear video into your busy schedule 🙏. I’m so unlucky with shoes and boots, I bought those Boden leather tan boots a few weeks back but had to return them, they were so tight on the front of the foot and I have narrow feet! This must be my 3rd year running trying to find boots to fit me, I’ve got super skinny legs so most flap about like wellies on me too lol 😩
I love your videos, Friday fashion etc. I constantly think of your advise and have had my husband put up a full length mirror in our bathroom since I began watching you because for years I have not seen myself from my head to my toes, it has made a huge difference. Thank you. A quick question please Melissa, I notice that recently more black is creeping in and I remember earlier this year you advised against black because it can be draining, why the switch to black if you don't mind me asking?
Love your content. Wouldn't miss an episode. A lot of different shops here in Australia. No Marks and Spencer, no John Lewis, no Mango. I do find that your Autumn and our Australian Spring correspond fairly well though. Have you talked about how to wear loafers? Have I missed it or forgotten (I wonder)? I feel that I am gradually improving my wardrobe for every occasion. Thank you so much from an active retired 70 yo from Ballarat Australia.
Great video love the detailed explanation for clothing choices per body type. I did purchase the Goelia brown bomber jacket. Took 2 weeks shipping time to the US. Very cool looking and slouchy. I was thinking I should have went down a size, but it's still very warm 88F here and as you mentioned I'll have plenty of room for a sweater. The only thing I didn't like is it is itchy on my neck.
Should all straight or narrow leg pants hit above the ankle and wide leg cover the foot? Side by side, the long wide leg pants seem to be more flattering than the ankle length + pointy ankle boot. What is the though process behind choosing one or the other? Have you ever shown side by side photos of both styles on the same models?
I’ve shown those side by side comparisons on myself yes. Re your question on different lengths - It’s not as simple as that I’m afraid. On myself I wear both a cropped wide leg and a long wide leg. However, because I’m short and curvier I can’t wear the cropped wide leg without a heel. I can wear the long wide with a flat or trainer. That won’t be the case for someone taller or more slender, they’ll be able to wear both with ease. So it depends on size, height, other dominant features (such as a large bust, narrow hips) etc.
Hi 👋🏻 I hope this isn’t a stupid question 🙈 So you know you say we can cut our straight leg jeans to the right length, well does that apply to the kick flare ankle cropped styles you wear with the chunky boots? Can they be cut to the right length or would those types of jeans look odd with a raw hem? Hope that makes sense 😂 thank you xx
Hi Melissa, fabulous video as usual with so many alternative pieces. Can you tell me please which jeans you are wearing with the Suzanne suede jacket? They look like bootleg
Thanks Melissa, I always feel so inspired after watching your videos. Sadly some of the items seem to sell out in my size before I can get my hands on them!
Have you set up notifications on UA-cam for our videos? They’ll send you a text or email letting you know as soon as they go live. And/or, do you follow us on Instagram as we often show things on there too. X
@mmpersonalstyling Yes, I have notifications on, I'd hate to miss your great channel ,plus I check insta daily as well. I usually am a 6/8 & the smaller sizes just fly out of the door first. I keep an eye open for them restocking, M&S do restock on popular items so 🤞 .
I checked for those navy blue wide leg trousers in RI in your link and they are sold out 😢 buying that bomber jacket though . Are you wearing size 10 Melissa ? Thank you !!!
Hi Melissa , where is that stunning denim dress from please 🙏 love love ur videos . I’m a new subscriber, but u make such sense as a fashion conscious 55 year old ! Thank you xx 😘
Hello, I just found your channel and loved it. So much so I subscribed! Could you do a video for petites with long torso and short legs. Or at least offer suggestions for us long torso, short leg gals. I’m pretty much the opposite of your model 😮. Thank you
I have a question, you say I should show the anklel when wearing jeans. But it is to cold to have a naked ankle and I can wear boots outside but inside working with children I use Birkenstocks. What colour should I use on my socks?
Would love if you could do a video for autumn and winter skirt and dresses outfits. I don’t wear trousers, jeans or joggers at all. It’s a bit of a challenge I have learned to layer with thermals under my skirts but some outfit inspiration would be wonderful!
I apologize for asking again, but can you link to elastic bands for sleeves in the US? I have tried to order several sets on my own, but after several orders I haven't found any with enough stretch without breaking. Thanks for another lovely video!
I’m also in the USA and managed to find some pale pink thin scrunchies in Marshall’s. They work really well and don’t cut off my circulation. You might look there , they’re were in a multi pack
I’m afraid I’ve never tried to buy them from the states so I can’t recommend which ones are the best but they’re all the same on Amazon and yes they do break sometimes but when you’ve got 1000 in a packet I’ve always got spare in my pockets! Ps. I can only link Amazon uk
Realistically, how many pants should one woman own for winter? I'm in Canada so we typically have around 200 days of cool to cold weather. I've read somewhere 7 is average which seems way too few given we all need some for work, for casual wear, jeans and dressy occasions. I'm trying to whittle my wardrobe down to just pieces that fit well and follow your suggestions but I'm struggling to keep fewer than 35 🤣
It honestly depends on what your lifestyle is like. I have loads because I constantly have to put together new outfit ideas but that’s not a ‘normal’ lifestyle. Jeans wise you need different shapes and lengths for different looks/occasions so often that’s at least 4-5 pairs. There really is no set answer. Just make a note of the ones you wear in the season and if you don’t wear them donate them. X
Look where the title is then depending on the device you’re using it either says ‘read more’ or just the word ‘more’ or, sometimes you have to press the 3 small dots. When you do this it will reveal the description box with all the links in.
Help please. I will be in London next week and need a show suggestion. Will wear white trainers during the day but need something for nights that I can walk in. Had planned on a sandal but it looks a little chilly
The best stylist on the web! Excellent detailed information for real adult women. I now take screenshots on my phone of looks I love and take those shots with me when I go shopping.
Soo true
Just the best! Nobody else on UA-cam shows details about boot shafts and heel heights etc
Dear Melissa and your lovely team, I do love the practical tips and that your models are real women. Thanks for your clear explanations.
I second that. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, packed full of really useful tips ❤
Yes I love when there are a few ladies of different shapes and sizes wearing similar clothes because I can then focus on the lady that resembles my figure as Melissa looks fabulous in everything and I can never imagine what the outfit would look like on me.

Unfortunately we can’t change the automatic title that pulls through 😳

I am finding your videos invaluable. I am 5’2” and am so pleased with the height comparisons. Many, many thanks.
Glad you like them!
Great video. Just finished watching and already thinking about rewatching it😂 Would love to see a shoe and underwear ones too! 😍👍
Antonia, i can't tell you how many pairs of jeans/trousers I've bought too big for that same reason! They do stretch. Nikki looked especially beautiful in the cashmere sweater and jeans. Wonderful content as usual! Thank you all!
Absolutely amazing! You are brilliant!

A vote for a shoe video.
Really liked the shoe bit in here. My mind is still comprehending a pared down show wardrobe as I have many styles and colors of each type but I would really like to simplify! Matching heel heights across types is brilliant!

Have you tried duo boots? They make them to fit different calf widths. X
@@mmpersonalstyling I did look at Duo years ago but they never had the style I wanted, maybe it’s time to try them again!
Many thanks for the video!!!

That’s great to hear. Re the black - no switch, it just doesn’t dominate the wardrobe. I pick navy when I can.
Thanks Melissa, the soft leather ankles boots look very stylish, where did you get the soft leather black boots. Thank you.
Everything is linked as always in the description box under where the title of the video shows.
Thanks so much…great inspiration.
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video!! You are the best Melissa!!! You have taught me soooo much about style!!! ❤❤
Thank you so much!!

M&S do a thermal pop sock. They are fab with ankle grazers in winter!
Great tip - thank you x

Hi Melissa, fabulous video as usual with so many alternative pieces. Can you tell me please which jeans you are wearing with the Suzanne suede jacket? They look like bootleg
They are the Me+Em ones. They're called the Authentic Relaxed Deep Turn-Up (but I was wearing them as normal jeans by just un-turning them!).
Thanks Melissa, I always feel so inspired after watching your videos. Sadly some of the items seem to sell out in my size before I can get my hands on them!

Please can you do a capsule workwear wardrobe, smart casual? Thanks for these videos, so useful
Invaluable- thank you!
Very welcome!
I’ve been looking for the New Look vest top but can’t find it. Could you add it to your links please?
Here you go rstyle.me/+LrFSlwqEv6mweSuk59VelA
I checked for those navy blue wide leg trousers in RI in your link and they are sold out 😢 buying that bomber jacket though . Are you wearing size 10 Melissa ? Thank you !!!
I was wearing a size 12 in the bomber jacket. There's lots of the River island trousers in store if that helps.
Hi Melissa . I really want the beige cashmere john lewis jumper. Please can you tell me what you sized up to in it?
I went for the size 16 but I think a size 14 would also have worked....
@@mmpersonalstyling thank you!
Hi Melissa , where is that stunning denim dress from please 🙏 love love ur videos . I’m a new subscriber, but u make such sense as a fashion conscious 55 year old ! Thank you xx 😘
Thanks for subbing!
Can you cover more on bags? I feel like big shape and style has such an impact on an outfit and how big you look!
Hello, I just found your channel and loved it. So much so I subscribed! Could you do a video for petites with long torso and short legs. Or at least offer suggestions for us long torso, short leg gals. I’m pretty much the opposite of your model 😮. Thank you
Yes of course, I just need that sort of person to volunteer then I’ll dress them! Welcome by the way, thank you for subscribing x
I have a question, you say I should show the anklel when wearing jeans. But it is to cold to have a naked ankle and I can wear boots outside but inside working with children I use Birkenstocks. What colour should I use on my socks?
Probably neutral cream:natural coloured that then co-ordinate with your tops.
Dedicated shoe video would be great
Great video. So informative and helpful. How does the sizing on the leopard kitten heels run? TTS, go up a size, or down?
I'm usually a size 4.5 and the size 4 fits me perfectly.
Would love if you could do a video for autumn and winter skirt and dresses outfits. I don’t wear trousers, jeans or joggers at all. It’s a bit of a challenge
I have learned to layer with thermals under my skirts but some outfit inspiration would be wonderful!
This weeks video that comes out on Sunday includes a skirt and there will be more shown in Instagram on Saturday x
I apologize for asking again, but can you link to elastic bands for sleeves in the US?
I have tried to order several sets on my own, but after several orders I haven't found any with enough stretch without breaking.
Thanks for another lovely video!
I did look for a link but didn't see it. I know they're one time use, but I haven't found any that even go on without breaking. Thank you in advance!
I’m also in the USA and managed to find some pale pink thin scrunchies in Marshall’s. They work really well and don’t cut off my circulation. You might look there , they’re were in a multi pack
@alisongavin2580 Great, thank you so much!
I’m afraid I’ve never tried to buy them from the states so I can’t recommend which ones are the best but they’re all the same on Amazon and yes they do break sometimes but when you’ve got 1000 in a packet I’ve always got spare in my pockets! Ps. I can only link Amazon uk
Love your videos but I can’t find the link for the bands that hold up your sleeves on Amazon. Where am I missing it?
Here you go. We can’t link the primark ones but Here’s a link for Amazon ones amzn.to/47zpcVm
Very helpful!

The brown boots at H&M are available in Canada
Good to know, thank you for sharing x
Please please please do a video on pants lengths vs shoes! I have such trouble with this.
It’s coming!
I think here in Scotland we are into winter clothes already it's getting really cold. 😢 The winter comes around fast. Time to dig out the coats etc
It’s rearing its ugly head here too!
Realistically, how many pants should one woman own for winter? I'm in Canada so we typically have around 200 days of cool to cold weather. I've read somewhere 7 is average which seems way too few given we all need some for work, for casual wear, jeans and dressy occasions. Sorry, I’ve been with clients all week so only just seeing this. Trainers or a little ankle boot will be fine x
Shoe video, please!
Fabulous video
Thanks 🤗
