That shot where you caught the shadow before he wears it on the head was a winner

Gary bay, old stomping ground, surfed it like that many a time, Gaz Cronk, Jay & Storm Carter, Reg, Johnny Preston, Millar brothers, epic days with those guys in the 70's & 80's, jigged many a day from Waverly College. Thanks for the memories

The surfer picked some good waves as the right point usually closes out over 8 feet.

wow wow easily the best surfing wave shots from Australia I have seen.... you are a national treasure Justin. Quite breathtaking. What size would you say the waves were, from the front and the back? What is it about Bronte that allows it to hold these big waves?

Thanks for the comment that’s very kind. On this particular day I think the swell charts were reporting 6-8ft but the big sets looked a lot bigger to me.

@@JustinSpencers Windsurfing Gerroa - Wave sailing in mast high surf is maginificent, captures the power and the undulating topography of the waves, and features pro level riders!! And the sound track is perfect... chilled. Too many windsurf vids are spoiled by raucous soundtracks.

The footage was shot really well, but the surfing was hard to watch.
What was wrong with that guys board? He couldn't hold a line.

Wrong board for the job. Plenty of volume to get into them. No problem there. Too much width in the tail, not enough rail in the water. Out of control at that speed.

Turn the sound off and put on some white noise then, whiner.
