These guys really impress me. I’d love to be able to rebuild every heavy truck component with a mini sledge, a valve punch, and a pair of needle nose. My knees are killing me by the end of each video tho 😂
Thank you for the video. The leak on my unit is the one seal you didn't replace. I feel more comfortable opening the gearbox and replacing the seals that are leaking. Thank you.

Utter respect for their skill and dedication, born out of necessity. McLaren F1 don't send their engines and gearboxes here for overhaul do they? 😂 They could learn a think or two. Those engine valves make nice punches.
Now I can see why rebuilt steering boxes always leak. Or at best don't last very long. Not a single rock guard was put back on it and he use rubber strips to take up the slack in the bearing tunnel. Remember that when you buy your next steering Box off of Amazon

I'm just amazed how these guys do this. In the West, these parts would have to be sent to the manufacturer or service agent for repair with specialised tools. These guys do it with minimal tools, some made by themselves, and a lot of percussive maintenance.

They really do major repair of parts not lie in us if a part is broken they send out to a auto parts store for a new or rebuilt part !that takes some skill and knowledge on how to rebuild the broken part ! Or they don’t have the knowledge to rebuild the part a simple bearing replacement could mean trashing the hole unit for a ten dollar part !
You definitely know it’s not the US because there would be two or three EPA guys giving him a fine for the little bit of hydraulic fluid he spilled in the dirt.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, I am too lazy replace the noisy serpentine belt tensioner in my Acura even though I have power tools and already bought the part...🤣🤣
Just buy those guys a table, a socket set, a ratchet and a vise. I don't know where this was recorded, but if every mechanics in that country bought the tools I mentioned, it would improve their productivity by a lot, and the country as a whole could exit poverty
It's Pakistan and it's not that poor. But yeah having a ratchet wouldn't hurt nobody and it's not that big of an investment anyway. They've got a table and a vise already which is a surprise for me as I've only seen them doing it while squatting and holding everything with their bare hands and feet lol
Less cleanup by working on the ground. Just let all the oil empty drain on the ground and push dirt over the top with your saddles for a quick and easy cleanup.
Very primitive way of repairing automotive components which are highly precision components. No sense for using proper repair tools, clean work table, clean cleaning fluid. Just hammer the hack out of everything. I always wonder how long these repairs really last. If you dont have quality mindset then you will never catch up with modern manufacturing, or create anything on your own. One guy is working and three guys are watching him work.
Why not do the entire rebuild up on a bench to save your back? PPE??... Who’s that they ask! Ha Looks similar to roadworkers in most countries.. 1 man does all the work whilst 3 or more stand and watch.
ill never understand why they dont do ALL of the work standing, on a bench with a vice. why do they put it in the dirt, & have a guy try to hold it still, while the other guy tightens the bolts? you couldve done all that in the vice
These guys really impress me. I’d love to be able to rebuild every heavy truck component with a mini sledge, a valve punch, and a pair of needle nose. My knees are killing me by the end of each video tho 😂
I am impressed by the engineers who have been able to create mechanisms that can be repaired in such dire conditions.

I’ve watched a lot of videos, but i don’t understand why everyone is sitting on the ground. Why not use a table?
I guess it's a cultural thing?
He has a clean table and a vice right behind him in the workshop…..
Only cleaned parts go on the table (OSHA)

Wow! Finally! This video proves Pakistani craftsman can put something together clean and up off a dirty floor! Good job!

Tighten the bolts to to 5 pounds.
As in 5 pounds with a 5 pound hammer.
Amazing video.
One of the perks of hot, dry climate - no rust, no mud, no freeze.

Every wrench is an impact wrench.
You just need hammer
And this is how you do it over there.. No impacks, no torque specks, just beat the hell out of it ? Throw it back on the ground and beat it up some more.. We over here in the US, might can learn something, you think ? See Ya Texas

Don't forget after this confidence inspired vid. Always add 1/4 cup of junk yard dirt for good measure.
##grandpa's opinion. Having worked in an American hyd.. shop years ago, I would so love to work with these true professionals. 👍 great work, guys.
Just imagine what he could accomplish if someone would just invent the workbench and air compressor.
and a parts cleaner =)
God forbid if they would ever discover the socket wrench or impact wrench. Their technology would advance by 1000x fold.
It's encouraging to see at least one mechanic using a work bench, rather than squatting down working in the dirt.
The way these guys work with toxic stuff on bare hands will give em a long and healthy life...
Utter respect for their skill and dedication, born out of necessity.

what do you think they could learn ?
@@xl000they could learn that you don't need a collar and tie, and its ok to get your hands dirty in engine oil and muck.

Nice job ❤

I watched a rebuild of an Isuzu Truck Engine and they didn't replace one gasket. They just used silicone. That truck is still running.
Wait these guys are selling on Amazon, who knew! Hahaha...

How do you know that exactly ?
Sexy finger mechanics....Everything they touch, they fvck.
from the looks of those holes he's hammering on with that old valve this not the first time this box has been rebuilt !
Good work boots 😀
I watch these guys every day. LOVE their DETERMINATION!
Is that diesel they use to clean parts?
It looks like it.
I personally use kerosene and WD 40 to clean most parts.

Good job ...a way of earning a living in pakistan...nothing impossible ...quality is secondary..job must be done
every job involves a lump hammer but they do super work
"How much do we torque the bolts?"
"Two hammer blows!"
That's three ugga-duggas in SAE.
Is 4 smacks on the wrench with a hammer equivalent to the click on the torque wrench?
Bolting this to a table would make it so much easier to take apart.
Why didn't anyone's else think of that. Did you go to school ?. You uh are smuckin fart

Well done, shows step by step how to dismantle spare part.
Perhaps a ratchet handle and a socket set plus a vise might help? Certainly less likelihood of sand and grit getting into the reconditioned unit.
How to rebuild.... anything. With a hammer.
And without table
Was just thinking that. Every video I watch their on the ground. Why not step your game up and get a table.
