@@drew5710 I hear ya, definitely a timing thing and with all the pressure. Either way though well done. I guess I was trying to say you're so skilled that one surprised me. You're definitely champ level imo.
Because he has spent 300 hours practicing air rolling because it looks cool, but has never practiced bounce dribbling in free play in his life. Typical diamond, really.
@@zachclarke61 i actually said in the call with cbell, but he didnt show it ofc, but i said that i love to practice the basic mechanics more than learning how to flip reset or anything flashy. u notice how i never went for anything like that in game?
Honestly some mistakes made by drewski were jsut flipping instead of double jumping. like on the game against graiser he lost 2 or 3 goals just because he jumped and then speedflipped to save instead of just double jumping, and then he conceded a goal by speedflipping into the ball intead of just catching it.
One of the biggest components of ranking up to champ is consistency. People play amazing one day, then the next day play sort of absentmindedly. Locking in and staying consistent is most important. If you start to go on a major losing streak, call it quits for the day and start again tomorrow when you’re refreshed and can really concentrate. Situational awareness is key
I just watched a "trained like a pro for a week" video and it was more about life routine (diet, exercise, meditation, mood) than actual in game training.
@@reed6514 oh yeah, 100%. If you feel good, you’ll play good. When I said ‘consistency’ I was mostly referring to consistently making good decisions and focusing on what you’re doing in-game. I think people underestimate how much it helps to take breaks from the game for a few days as well.
Eh. People just get different opponents and situations from one game to the next. People make the same mistakes consistently. What's inconsistent is how often players are exposed or punished for the mistakes, because they're playing equally skilled opposition.
@@ResTheChamp still chilling in high diamond, just came back to the game this month after takin a break since like july lol, i got most of my mechs back but the long break definitely took a hit on my fundamentals and game sense

I am C3 and my mech's are buns. I can air dribble sometimes but I mess up a lot. It is all about awareness. Not even just knowing what to do every play but even understanding what kind of teammate you have and playing to their strengths. Adapting is very important in this game. Love you homie!
I completely agree with what you just said about "games at the peak." Whenever I began raging, or being mentally not in the chill, calculated mood(what I personally consider my peak) I can fell of almost an entire rank behind.

bro I am the exact same, it is painful having to play with such neurological link lacking team mates, and opponents, because I play better against higher rank opponents, as I understand them more than lower players, so when I play in my friend's c2 lobbies I sometimes end up carrying, but constantly get team plays, demoing, bumping and passing.
Im Rn Ranked Plat 3 cause of the placements but past few seasons ive been mid-high diamond and i think i definetlly deserve champ or so i just think my tm8's are just bad and theyre holding my rank back but ya
You should do an all diamond tournament or something with the top commenters on this video. Like take the top 16 or 32 or however many and set up a single elimination tournament. I’m diamond as well, and the diamonds in this video looked super solid, compared to what I’m used to seeing lol I’d like to put my name in for the most average diamond in the world
I'm Diamond 2 in 2v2 but when I play with my cousin who is Champ 2. We actually win like most of our games and in like 50% of them I get MVP. I think the reason why I'm Diamond is that I'm terrible at mechanics. Like I can dribble good at my peak but at my worst I dribble worse then a Platinum player and I make a lot of dumb mistakes because of my confidence and ego. At my Peak I can confidently say that I play like a Champ 2 but at my worst I play like a Plat 2-3 and when I play OK I play like a Diamond 2 (My actuall rank).
this guy is really good for sure. From the video I couldnt tell how he is not C1 at least. Also seemed chill and not toxic. Wish u luck man hope youll get to Champ soon!
I'm a long standing high diamond and we are an interesting breed man. We exist on a strange plateau where we can play like high champs and crush it on our best games and play like plats on our worst games. Just depends on which direction the wind is blowing that day ha!
Seeing how good these diamonds are is actually a relief for me. Being that I’m Diamond 2 and I swear in ranked it feels like I’m facing actual GCs in some games and gold in others. What I observed from the first player is really not a skill issue but inconsistency and poor defense. This video was probably not intended to be educational but I’m definitely going to practice more defense now…
I've played with lower level players that come alive when they have a soild teammate to back them up. This game is all about confidence. You play your best when you're confident. If you bring a confident Diamond into a GC lobby and you support them, they're gonna play well because they have trust and confidence in the higher ranked, "better" player.
I play high diamond low champ but my casuals are top 0.3% because I’m a heatseeker nerd lol so I’ll play casuals and I can hold it down 4/5 games. So much more fun in those lobbies being able to trust and have confidence in your teammates
This is so true I don’t have good teammates and the second I make 1 mistake they act like I’m bad and say idk what but in that match they make 20 mistakes and I don’t say anything to them I only tell them to do training
Good comment. Once i was on a L streak but found a diamond teammate who played so consistent and good that i wondered why he's stuck there. I moved to my usual higher mmr and checked back on his mmr later to see if he climbed and he was still low.
My GC brother got me into this game, I’ve been playing since Oct. 2022. Him and his two GC friends have been coaching me and I have peaked to D3 D4 2v2 solo queuing. I may not be the best diamond but I could give the title a run, and maybe even come out on top.
Honestly you don't need to know air dribbles for low champ or even high champ People can block them fairly regularly. Reason people can't get out of diamond are often : poor rotations, bad positioning, lack of power/accuracy behind shots, double commits
@@HBSup True bro, I've noticed when I play focused and with positive mindset I make no mistakes and just try to punish the other team's mistakes I win nearly every time
To the question at the end - that is me. I feel as if my gamesense and mechanics are both equally balanced in a good way. Most of the time my teammates drag me down and are (lousy) not that good. I also create opportunities for my teammates, have great synergy, and i overall feel as if I deserve a higher rank. I learned gamesense and fundamentals first if anyone is wondering, and I play on controller. I am thirteen years of age as of typing this comment. I also have a good sense of humor and like to make people laugh I want the chance to prove myself to everyone and stop getting clowned on lol I hope at least some of you will help me do that Edit: to anyone who helped me, thank you so much! It means a lot I hope i get a chance to prove myself next video!🎉
You can become a solid champ regardless of teammates. Yes you will rank down due to bad games but if you are really champ you will be back to champ again. Most diamonds don't realize this. If you can't carry yourself then you are not ready for champ yet.
I play with champ teammates most of the time @ahsaner9717 and even then I win I just feel as if majority of the time I get tilted from it. I try not to let it happen but it just ends up inevitably happening no matter what.
Just letting you know now that MMR doesn't lie. You can blame your teammates all you want but at the end of the day, every single player has blamed their teammates at some point. If you win, your opponent will probably say their teammate was awful. Meaning that MMR averages out to give you the rank that you are. You might make it to champ but you'll never truly improve until you accept that there's things you can change instead of blaming losses on your teammates. You can't change how they play, you CAN change how you play.
Im diamond 1 and I can do most if not all things that this guy can do apart from air dribbles. The difference is I am inconsistent with kickoffs and flicks but I could give any champ a run for his money on a good day. Ive got great shadow defense and positioning as well as decent passing and awareness in my opinion that give me a massive advantage against most players.
Buddy, I have terrible mechanics, can't flick, and do the most basic kickoffs (no flip at all) and yet I'm diamond 2 (Diamond 3 last season). Theres no way you cant drive straight ahead for kickoffs lol
@@msaocer you will stuck the next 1500 hours in diamond and when you come to champ then you will need again 1000 hours to get out there bro you will need mechs when you want to performe in the game
as a champ 2 myself (Solo queue in EU), I think this guy should be around champ 1. The only thing I believe is stopping him from ranking up is going for shots that his mechanics can't handle (2:36 for example). His speed is also like high D3 / low champ 1 level however his recoveries are really good. He also needs to work on his positioning but he said he doesn't play 1s that much so ill give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. I would say he should be champ 1 but he needs a bit more work to get higher!
Yo Cbell, I want a chance in this. I think I should've been champ by now and I'm hardstuck diamond 2-3 (division 3 & 4 in D3) for a while. I have been playing since 2016, took a break for years and then started playing ranked about 2.5 years ago. I've never been champ ever, and because of the new season MMR rank drop, I've been kind of slow and unmotivated getting back up there but I have been recently grinding again. I'm not the best mechanical player but my game sense, shots, defence and overall game reads is definitely on track with champ level. I save 2v2 ranked playlist to play with my brother because I like playing with him and have been playing alot of solo recently as well. Take a look at my RL stats, and have me in a video. I'll even edit a bit of it and provide some comedy while playing too if you want ;)
I used to be C3, then I quit the game for 6 months and now Ive been playin for a week and I''m Diamond 3... But I will still destroy every other person who thinks they're the 'best' diamond. (When really - it's me)
I am not the best dimond but I do think I am under ranked only reason is because me and my friends play just for fun and don’t get win but if I can prove my point then thanks
I am a diamond 2, and i can do air dribbles consistently, ceiling shots too, and flip resets sometimes, i also have a very good shooting accuracy and can do bounce dribbles and good flicks, the only problem is that my speedflips are a little bit inconsistent. i also have decent positioning. i think if i could play with the diamond here, i could beat him in a 1v1. im also a diamond in 1s. the only reason im still diamond is that i solo q and i didnt find a decent teammate to play with yet.
Sounds like me but lower ranked and I consistently hit single and double resets, airdribbles, reset mustys. Double taps, and just about anything else to.
I believe that what sets me apart is not just my mechanics, but also my deep understanding of strategy, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to various playstyles. I have embraced the importance of positioning, rotation and communication to ensure coordination with my teammates. I believe that gamesense is more important than mechanics when trying to rank up, because mechanics can be acquired through practice and experience, but altering your playstyle becomes more challenging once it gets cemented. Now, you may ask, "Why should we believe you?" Well, actions speak louder than words, and I request the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities on the "great stage" of youtube. Whether it's participating in a tournament, joining a high-level ranked match, or even engaging in a 1v1, I am eager to prove my worth. I understand that words alone cannot validate my claim, which is why I implore you to give me the chance to showcase my skills. Let my gameplay do the talking. I am ready to face the toughest challenges, learn from defeats, and emerge as the strongest diamond player. P.s:To my fellow Diamond players, let us rise above the ranks, push the boundaries of our abilities, and inspire others to chase their dreams. Together, we can demonstrate the true potential that lies within the Diamonds.
Hello drewski hope your having a good day and I love your vids I’m d1 in 1s and I think I have gc ssl mechanics I only have about 30 hours of playing and gc,s say I deserve champ 2 to gc I don’t think I’m going to get the most amount of likes but I will Be grateful if you give me a try
Hey C bell, I will absolutely take a shit on any diamond you put me against, this is because I have spent my entire rocket league career focusing on the fundamentals, and the reason I'm still in diamond is because I usually do 4 to 5 hours of training before I play and I easily tilt because of it, but I ashore you If I limit my freeplay hours just a bit I will desecrate anyone who stands in my way, chose me as your champion and I with bring your legacy to greatness. Also luv u cell
Love the video but I just wanna say the opponents in the cas were most likely low c2 to anywhere in diamond. I grind casual a lot and I am a bit higher than cbell and the opponents still are around c2 and c1 every once in a while it’s a c3 or gc1 I’ve even played with a top 50 in 1s and 2s ssl in casual
I'm diamond 2 and I honestly think I could be champ. I played games with my friend and helped get him to champ and I think I could be as well. I feel like the reason I'm not champ is because I don't play competitive enough and most of the time when I do it's just messing around with friends. I really think I could be that guy. (Unless we're talking about open nets, then I am definitely not that guy)
I think its pretty common for "lower ranked" players to play better when they play in a higher lobby. I see it with myself too, when i play with gc friends. 1st of all I focus a lot more, trying to avoid mistakes And 2nd I know I can trust my teammates more - them beeing in the right places more often than not or them just beeing a better defender than a C1, so the chances for them to save/stall in a 1v1/1v2 is higher if I do make a mistake in offense. I think gaisers "good challange" in the corner was that good because you were there in mid, ready for the ball to come there. Most Dia3/C1 mates just wouldnt be, leading the same corner-challenge to a counter attack.
i am d2 right now i used to be d3 before i took a break from the game i dont think i could beat grand champs but i want to atleast prove my point that i am good enough to make my way back to d3 and i need improvement and i slip up sometimes and sometimes it is my teamates fault.
im the most mechanical diamond here. I can consitently triple reset and ive been able to quad reset a couple times. Im not the best tactical wise but the most mechanical for sure
i am diamond 1 and i never understood why i couldnt get higher like im actually okay and i always end up droping for no reason so maybe its just a smurf issue or bad tm8 since i only solo queue all my friend i used to play with are all champs or gcs even ssl for one well im kinda desperate
D1 (somehow) i have a champ friend who i held my own against in GOLD and now i can consistently air dribble, wall dash, my dribbling gas drastically improved and i can occassionally flip reset. My game sense is of gc level and i really think i could be the best 💎.
Ok so hear me out I’m diamond and I’m strong mechanically in the air and on the ground. On top of that I win almost every game apart from my rank up games to champ because I’m not trying to be that guy but my teamate does whiff quite alot. I have the stability and mechanics to be a champ and I hope I’m chosen atleast
I believe i am the best diamond in all of rocket league. My peak rank was diamond 3 and I beat a lot of champ and grand champion players in 1v1 matches. The reason I believe I have not hit champ yet is because my tm8s struggle to rotate and execute my good plays. I feel that if I am matched up with someone who also believes they are the best diamond I will be able to beat them.

i am diamond 3, i play with my champ 2 friend, i match there plays and hes a bit better then me, i got good mechanics, good ground plays, aerials, i think i could be around champ1-champ2 because of my plays but im not too confident to play comp i feel like i will lose
I'm baffled how he air rolled so easily with the air dribble but struggled on the bounce dribble like that. Man mechanics in RL are so weird.
aye man its me. bounce dribbles are harder then they look with the precise timing and especially when you're in a call with someone with 800k and that youve been watching for years 😭
@@drew5710 I hear ya, definitely a timing thing and with all the pressure.

I'm probably too late for this, but I'd love to throw my hat in the ring as the best dad in d3.

Seeing how good these diamonds are is actually a relief for me. Being that I’m Diamond 2 and I swear in ranked it feels like I’m facing actual GCs in some games and gold in others. What I observed from the first player is really not a skill issue but inconsistency and poor defense.

I also have a good sense of humor and like to make people laugh
I want the chance to prove myself to everyone and stop getting clowned on lol

You can become a solid champ regardless of teammates. Yes you will rank down due to bad games but if you are really champ you will be back to champ again. Most diamonds don't realize this. If you can't carry yourself then you are not ready for champ yet.
I play with champ teammates most of the time @ahsaner9717 and even then I win I just feel as if majority of the time I get tilted from it.
I try not to let it happen but it just ends up inevitably happening no matter what.
@@xthunderhd4040It's simple, if you truly deserve champ, you'd be able to achieve it. Everyone has bad teammates sometimes.
Are we just gonna let drewski What a save that diamond?
Im diamond 1 and I can do most if not all things that this guy can do apart from air dribbles.
The difference is I am inconsistent with kickoffs and flicks but I could give any champ a run for his money on a good day.
Ive got great shadow defense and positioning as well as decent passing and awareness in my opinion that give me a massive advantage against most players.
I also play with my diamond 3 friend and we are evenly skilled and have similar points 95% of the time

as a champ 2 myself (Solo queue in EU), I think this guy should be around champ 1. I would say he should be champ 1 but he needs a bit more work to get higher!
googoo gaga
I 1 vs 1 drew he's fast but I punished a lot of his positioning mistakes. If he peak he's capable of c1

1st of all I focus a lot more, trying to avoid mistakes
And 2nd I know I can trust my teammates more - them beeing in the right places more often than not or them just beeing a better defender than a C1, so the chances for them to save/stall in a 1v1/1v2 is higher if I do make a mistake in offense.
I think gaisers "good challange" in the corner was that good because you were there in mid, ready for the ball to come there. Most Dia3/C1 mates just wouldnt be, leading the same corner-challenge to a counter attack.

the trusting the teammates is so real, like i never expect my gc friends to miss the ball but when im playing in diamond i have to expect the opposite
