The global population over 300 years

Could #Nigeria hit a billion people this century? Not quite but it could be on its way there. By the end of this century, a third of all people will be African.
This will be Africa's century! As Africa develops, certain countries like Nigeria may emerge global superpowers.
This dataset came from Gapminder, a project co-founded by the late Professor Hans Rosling. The later part of this data series is from the United Nations population projections.
